Your dry tyres won't work in the tunnel because they are cold!
+VdoPt0r Absolutely true! To add to that - having to select your tires before you enter the pit lane is also realistic, since the team have to bring the tires out and ready them for the stop.

That was a challenge in F! 2009 for the Wii, u had 4 laps to go and u started in first and had to not drop out of the points (8th at the time). It was fucking hard, but then again I was 9 sooooo

Ben about the tunnel at Monaco not being wet: If a Monaco GP is started in the wet, inters or full wets, they will spend 30 mins prior to the start hosing the entire tunnel down in water. Knowing it will dry up sometimes they even flood the tunnel with more water than on the track as they know it'll dry and get spread around. It's important to prevent massive crashes on early laps with cars bunched together on wet tyres going through the tunnel. Sometimes they'll even red flag Monaco to hose the tunnel down, if the conditions are bad enough. Of course, many times they don't if the race doesn't start wet or rain comes right before the start (and isn't serious enough to delay) or the rain is to light. Anyway; in the stormy conditions you are driving 100% the officials would hose the track down. The wet tyres would experience a sudden spike in temps going through there which would be so dangerous in a tight area of the track. Even if they didn't crash there it'd burn the tyres out and may cause a crash somewhere else. It's a bigger issue for Monaco given the tightness of the circuit and how one crash can stop a race. It's a convenient excuse for what is probably ineptitude on Codie's part but is an excuse none the less.

reason for no grip in tunnel, A) spray dampens the tunnel and more importantly B) next to zero tyre temp and those slicks provide next to fuck all grip cold on a cold damp surface

Hey Ben, How about this challenge (the lean challenge):
A race around Monza with the highest aero (11, 11 wing) and the entire race in lean refs in a Mercedes. Depending on how your practice times are you can even decide to start from the back.

Often in real life if it starts raining and there is a tunnel, they will spray down the track in the tunnel to make a uniform track surface

your tires don't grip in the tunnel because if you look they are wet with the rain and 3 or 4 seconds in the tunnel won't dry them

it is realistic. When using go under the bridge ur slicks will be still wet so use won't have any grip.
