This is why I was trained to stand behind my vehicle when I throw spikes. We lost two state troopers in my state in the last few months to this exact scenario because they stood in front of their patrol cars. You park your car angled and pointing off the road and you stand behind it deploying the spikes. This provides a barrier and if you vehicle is struck it will be more inclined to move off the road and not towards you.
Same thing I was taught in Truck Driving, when you enter a turn lane, keep your steer tires angled strait or toward the lane you were traveling in. If you get rear ended you will not get pushed into on coming traffic and have a head on accident.
In Indiana we have lost two troopers this year while attempting to deploy stop sticks. Please deploy them from a position of cover or not at all. Your life is more important than that.

Kind of insane how he got less than a year of jail because he was so compliant and cooperative in the end. I've seen MUCH more severe punishments from high speed chases. I didn't realize how much resisting arrest tacks onto jail time, even if they were in a long high speed chase that endangers the public so much.
Warrant for Armed Robbery. Now Felony Evading Police through 3 jurisdictions. Caused 4 crashes along the way. Gets 1 year and got out in 6 months. ??? Let's Go Brandon.
He faces more jail time from the case with the State Police. It's also worth noting that admitting guilt instead of taking it to trial will always result in a shorter sentence. He also does have 7 years of probation. Any violation of a probation sends him to prison for the remainder of the probation, if I remember correctly.
I only got a month for the same charges because I was cooperative and turned myself in a couple days after because they never caught me/found me. So I just went and turned myself in because I knew what was coming and wanted too speed up the process / start getting the treatment I needed at the time. I did a program helping the community for 2 years and they dropped my felony too a misdemeanor. People make mistakes and if you own up too that and try to make it right and move forward the law respects it and will help you right back.

Once you run from the cops and lead them on a high speed chase through public streets and highways, you don't get to say "I didn't mean to hit anyone" or "I didn't mean to hurt anyone" or anything like that. The second you take off from police amd start running, anyone you hit or hurt is 100% intentional, even if you weren't trying to.
So you take off running from the police the police try shooting you in the back they miss and the stray bullet goes into a family's home and kill somebody ? And you telling me that would be the person who ran fault ? You people are f****** out of your mind
Umm, I think you misunderstand what the word "intentional" means. You may intend to flee the police, but you certainly won't intend to put anyone in danger, that is not the motivation for fleeing the police, it is a byproduct of doing so. Take it a different way, if you go out for an ordinary drive, surely you must know that there is a possibility that you could end up accidentally killing someone on the drive, it doesn't mean you intended it, just because you chose to drive knowing that was a possibility.
I love when they want to know why they were getting stopped in the first place, like there is some rule where the cops have to let you go once you've fled if the original crime wasn't good enough.
I guess I will NEVER UNDERSTAND, NEVER, why anybody with a warrant, especially a non-impaired person who can think clearly, would break even the smallest of traffic laws, (or any other law) that subjects them to being pulled over in the first place! Such a moron! From watching these videos, there are a lot of them! SMH God bless our law enforcement officers… Stay safe and thank you officers💙💙💙💙💙🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
It’s easier said than done. I’m 100% sure you & every other driver on the road does regular basic things on the road everyday that a officer could pull you over for if they really wanted to… Do you know how many of these traffic stop/drug busts I see that starts with the driver getting pulled over for “Tailgating” or “Following to closely” . & Atleast 60%-70% of the time, they definitely had enough space away from the vehicle in front… It’s all the officers prerogative
You see drug runners doing stupid sht while hauling all of the time. They speed of have a headlight out ect . Guess you don't have to be smart to be a criminal
Didn't you hear? 74 in 69 and lane deviation. So unless 69 indicates a place and not a speed limit, she pulled him for 5 over and scetchy driving basically. A person could navigate the conversation into not getting a citation for that, but he had a warrant and the first thing on his mind was "i can't get caught" not "i can't run or i'll get more charges". @@justbecause9645 He could’ve just stopped you know.
Kind of insane how he got less than a year of jail because he was so compliant and cooperative in the end. I've seen MUCH more severe punishments from high speed chases. I didn't realize how much resisting arrest tacks onto jail time, even if they were in a long high speed chase that endangers the public so much.
Compliant... AFTER LEADING AN ENTIRE SHERIFF'S OFFICE ON A LONG DANGEROUS CHASE.
Warrant for Armed Robbery. Now Felony Evading Police through 3 jurisdictions. Caused 4 crashes along the way.
Gets 1 year and got out in 6 months. ???
Let's Go Brandon.
He gave them a great workout 🤷🏿♂️
He can be sorry and apologetic all he wants. The fact is he did what he did with malice and forethought.
well, you can't necessarily say that. By the looks of it he was out of his mind on drugs, and I think he just made a poor decision. He should definitely face the consequences, but it's not like he set out to lead the police on a chase. At least that's what I interpret from this video.
I know he passed the FST's but he's definitely on something. His eyes are glassy and red.
i don't think you know what those words mean.

I read in a comment from a different video that if a criminal talks nice they get less jail time. The judge or jury will say: "Look, he is compliant."
@@29th. Compliance kind of goes out the window when you go on a cross county chase down the highway. Usually compliance in simpler cases just involves following orders and not resisting or being rude or aggressive. Apologizing for something like a speeding ticket might help but usually they don’t care and a lawyer will always advise you not to because it can be seen as an admission of guilt.

All other officers: :: no hands raised::
Lead Officer to Michael: Look man, I tried, but no one, literally no one, myself included agreed to the warning thing.
@Bob_Lob_Law Yeah, ok BOB 👍

Especially american criminals.
Well, most folks who do that aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed, you know.
You call that dumb, i just see a lack of foresight and overburdense of hope.
