We picked up this hobby thanks to you and a couple other UA-camrs... now every time we find a ring, I always say "It's a RING!" just like you do, makes my wife laugh every time. Thanks for being you!
You had another great hunt! like the way you explain things as you go ( lifeguards and surfers to the rescue, filming site) The ring is so pretty, toys, clad and clean the beach as you go.
I see & experience so many things on the beach as each day is different. If it peaks my interest, I will always share with you (as long as it is with in UA-cam rules, Lol)
Jim, it's tomorrow, 7-19 21, and I started detecting Laguna Beach at 3:00 am this morning. At about 8:30 I got another signal, I can't remember the numbers, but it WAS A RING. I stopped and counted my bottle caps, crown type, and I had 20. That meant, 92 bottle caps before finding a ring. It was not gold, but on my way home, I dug a 925 ring in an old neighborhood. I metal detected until 11:00 am and headed back to Palmdale. Eight hours metal detecting, with a short half hour break. I ended up with $12.05 and two rings, one silver, with eight nickels, and two Sacagawea's.
That is a pretty good haul, wow 92! Hopefully that doesn't happen to often, remember I also said beach hunting. Bottle Caps / Pull tabs at parks could easily go over the 100 prior to ring game of mine. Keep it Up!👍😎
Those kids are lucky to have not only the lifeguards plus the surfers. They both know what to do! Hopefully that teaches the parents to pay attention to what their kids are doing! I would lay my life down for my son I’m just shaking my head.
Wow Jim, another awesome hunt at Bolsa. Going tomorrow morning to Sunset and work my way south. Also I pulled the trigger on a NOX800 and was wondering if you could give me some pointers. You knowledge is so valuable to me and would love your help. Thanks for sharing
I would be happy to help, I found a beautiful cut the other day at Sunset. Only one ring but it was fun seeing beach structure and sand movement at Sunset. Good Luck tomorrow and send me email so I can schedule some dig time with you! 👍😎
I’ve been reading a book from a Myrtle beach detectorist here on the east coast and he talks about hunting the surf and says he never hunts the dry and to forget about new drops. After watching your success on the dry I feel he is missing out!!
@@funwithjim last month a young boy with a cheap detector came up to me and asked me to set up his machine which I did. I told him to only hunt dry because his machine wouldn’t work in the wet sand. 20 mins later he finds a rose gold mothers ring!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, it is always nice to see the surprise in the scoop. Better than cracker jacks and this time the stone was not missing. I have found 2 blue topaz rings this year. 💍💍👍 How was the gem show?
@@funwithjim it was super fun and overwhelming! My goodness there's just so much going on and I was a little disappointed in how closes all the vendors were. Wasn't much room to walk around people at each booth. Other than that so many sweet gems we never seen before. Definitely a lot of fun. 😍
Didn't find any rings today but I did find some coins. Funny how it works, the more trash you pick up the more coins you find. Was a stellar day for quarters but a lot of trash to go with them. Digging that karma.
Jim, there you go again, another fun hunt. That ring is beautiful. That's a lucky wife who has a real treasure hunter for a husband like you. How about your daughter, she doesn't get dibs?
The UK beaches are only packed a few weeks a year while our beaches in SoCal are busy YEAR ROUND! I have a home in Wells-next-the-sea so I am very familiar with many of the UK beaches.
That had me puzzled too, maybe the shape playing a lot to do with the higher tone? I have found gold at 22 before it too was 10k white gold with a stone. hmmm! Thank you!
You know we love your videos!!!! Not only do you clean up but you make it fun to watch!
😊 thank you

Every beach is different, on our beaches the party is on the dry sand. loaded with people who never enter the water. Thank you 🤙

Thank You 👍
❤️💍 beautiful ring!! 👍
thank you!
Beautiful ring.
Thank you!
Hi Jim, my name is Timothy, I live in Vista CA, you need a small gardening shuvel for the wet sand and rocky places
Shovels I really am no expert but scoops, I use the CKG tank scoop in wet sand and rocky places. Thank you 🤙
Beautiful ring! Man, you sure know how to sniff out the gold! 😄

Awesome, I have some really nice gold rings that need stones and some repairs. I am looking forward to the next one. 😎
@@funwithjim Andrew and I would love to tag along with you on the next one and of course show us the FWJ-WAY 😆
Awesome, warning I am a geek when it comes to the rock and gem shows. Lol!

Jim. I'm going back to the beach tomorrow, and so far I have dug 72 crown type bottle caps without finding a ring. Tomorrow will tell.
Wow, 72 without. Very rare that I have ever get to 70's without finding one! Good Luck!👍😎
Great ring Jim. Ooops! I should have waited to buy my new scoop and handle. Too bad for me. GL & HH
It was a nice surprise that CKG did that, I wish I would have known prior. Thank you!
Very nice find 💍
thank you!
Great hunt
Thank you!
That ring is gorgeous! If it’s to small for your wife, buy it! 😁😁😁😁
Lol! she is wearing it today but said she put it back into the finds box when she is done. 😂 Thank you!
@@funwithjim she was suppose to hate it and it was to be to small. 😂😂😂😂
Great videos! I have a BH and have trouble in wet sand. Can you recommend a good detector for my beach trips. Thanks
Equinox is light and easy to use! I hope that helps, Thank you!👍😎
