I probably don't even have to describe how this movie broke me. Dune: Part two is a masterpiece. I just had to say it. I really enjoyed watching Paul and Chani's relationship from beginning to end, and it was heartbreaking to see the last final shots of them. I can't wait for the third part and where their story will continue.

Brilliant! I just realized in watching this that he knew he would lose her if he went South. And he was right. In order to save them, he had to lose her. And she had to become her own leader.
Not exactly, because of his prescience he has already seen all the futures; where they get together again, where they die, where they marry, where he dies, where she dies, where they live happily together in their arms, and every outcome possibly imagined. He’s seen it.
He didn’t want to go south because as he said, it brings war. He was scared of the fanatics, it’s been pretty clear why he is scared. He’s scared that there’s a fate that he cannot escape, and that’s the thing about destiny … you can see the future, but you are still powerless before it. Run from it, hide from it, it is as Thanos would say: “inevitable.”
It’s like the time-old question: “would you rather know how you die or when you die?” Just because you have the answer, doesn’t mean you have the ability to change the outcome. Some things are set in stone so you just do your best to prepare yourself. We’re all tragic heroes in a sense, question that remains is that we can take away from these stories are if we are redeemable? Is it too late for redemption? Do the ends justify the means?
Hard questions to answer my friend. The truth lies within your heart.
@@user-vr5zk9ox8d There will be another film… Dune Messiah says DenisV
who SPOILER….. ARRGH
a film… much arrgh!,
well, he had a vision that he'd "lose" her (as in she would die), whereas he lost the relationship. One is worse than the other. The way Denis has written it, I think Paul chooses one to avoid the other.
Denis says he will have a third Dune… DUNE Messiah…. There is a spoiler on this page…below …. who felt he needed to tell you the third book… do not understand how you could watch Dune 2 and not know DENIS HAS DO DO A THIRD… OBVIOUS TO MeWHEN HE CLOSED THIS BRILLIANT FILM WITH Z’s face
