That has not got the safety eyes isn’t that illegal? Also is that a binary switch system or what? Also is that dangerous to have the lock going to the emergency release? Couldn’t someone pick it? Is this your garage?
Not having infrared safety reverse sensors in place is not technically illegal, but 1993 legislature states that all electric garage door opener systems manufactured after 1/1/1993 must be equipped with the safety eyes. Yes, having the release lock switch is not a great idea, but no, at least not in this neighborhood, people probably won’t try to pick the lock. And no, this is not my garage.
