It actually makes me a lil' sad that chat seems to think of friendship as some kind of failure...friends are very valuable things. I'm sad that this mindset is so widespread.
37:55 I remember how we made a 2 week Christmas and New Year break in the guild but announced that for whoever wants to come we will still organize a raid and pug the rest, but without DKP awards or anything as it is an inofficial run. Well funny enough we had a full 40 man guildraid and half the raid was bitching about not being able to use their DKP that raid.
These people turned into the folks that create that rift in LFG. You are either too low for the content (reasonable) or too low to do the required task in half the time it takes the average player. 470 requirements for heroic raids, 460 for norms. if you dont get in at the beginning of the expac as a solo player, you're fucked.
Inviteing people based on ilvl and experience (which often result in higher ilvl/boosts can be misleading) is perfectly logical.. you wanna make your time as smooth as possible - so if u get the choice between a 450 or a 470 little to noone would pick the 450.. bcs we all had experience with those players - they suck and dont put in the effort.. its like the real world = if your application is shit -well u dont get invited - you have to work your way up - doing your own keys/raids - so quit crying cus nobody is holding your hand.

10:00 this reminds me. The guild of a friend has mandatory worldbuffs. They didn't have any mandatory in the first AQ week expecting to wipe but in normal raids full or at least almost full worldbuffs are required. Is all well enough, they don't call themselves casual. So in the second AQ week they come with their full worldbuffs, want to go for a bit of speed. @@DWlsh43 my guild is casual and we clear in just over an hour these days while the first couple weeks clears were 2-3 hours. The illusion that classic was 'hard' was dispelled very quickly.
The world buff meta is 100% a thing right now in classic, and basically everyone I know hates it. Whats the difference between getting world buffs to do more of your damage and BfA's current disaster of corruption doing the majority of your damage? World buffs work better because they aren't completely RNG whether you parse great or complete shit.
@@joshyman221 gotta disagree for a few reasons. 1. Boss mechanics on retail are more complex (at least heroic/mythic) 2. Corruption vendor is out and fully rotated so anyone who cares has pretty much bis corruption. Also most BiS corruption setups are actually stats amps which are now realistic options (so no random proc) 3. On retail its more player based rather than who managed to get into the raid without getting ganked -> logs show player performance on that fight, not random parameters OUTSIDE the raid instance 4. Rotations are more complex, even the most braindead ones have arguable some thought and planning which is inherently linked to the boss fight 5. DPS are not beholden to tank skill via threat. I do like that threat matters in classic but if your DPS is limited by someone elses gear/skill then it skews parses even more Overall with the current vendor out, most people on BfA who are up to date can actually reliably predict their dps. The vendor release being so late is another discussion.
Well here's the thing. If what your guild does is speed running and you have indeed chosen to join that guild, then you either get buffs or you're not doing your part. Same goes for getting perfect gear, enchants, reputation, whatever. But if you're just a guild that does content casually, I really don't get this obsession with requiring everyone to do everything perfectly. As long as they're not dead weight, that is.
I love recount and details. The addons that cause 99 percent of the community to focus like laser beams on the aspect of raiding that causes 1 percent of wipes (Not enough deeps to beat the enrage timer).
DPS is just 5% of the functionality of either addon, it is a great tool if you're a raid leader and need to see why someone is failing, be it why their dps is low, why they died and in that awareness problems etc. also why it's a good idea to admit fault, because very likely they already know you fucked up and why you fucked up. Or when someone is complaining they are the only one that's interrupting, because they are the only one shown in the addon.

I never played Vanilla. I was very excited for Classic but the attitude is the worst, because it's the retail mindset. Gaming world buffs to the point of servers having strict lists of who can drop what and when (and being hostile against anyone who deviates), organizing resets in case someone "ruins" the schedule, gaming buff limits, min-maxing meta nonsense from private servers, all "retail" WoW concepts that didn't exist to anywhere near the same level in 2004-2006. It's ridiculous. People are tryharding a game that doesn't need to be tryharded. This can't be the same game as what people wanted, can it? This is the mindset of the modern player bleeding into a game from 15 years ago when none of that was a common thing back then. It made Classic really intolerable for me as of a couple weeks ago; I got tired of seeing people claiming this was what Vanilla was like with the focus on parsing and optimization instead of just enjoying the game. Especially when it's not needed at all. I never got to play Vanilla so getting to see how the game was gameplay-wise then was interesting. But it mostly just made me appreciate most (not all) of the changes made to the game over the years. No changes? The players changed the most out of all and not for the better.
Listen to daddy preach: If you jsut let it dry for like a week it could potentially boot up just fine. Worst case you might have to get a few new parts that won't be saved but I'm sure most of it will be okay. AND OMFG HE FRIENDZONED THE FUCK OUT OF THE NEXT ONE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAaaaa
actually i submitted that story funny enough. my guild was back then on veknilash alliance and i merged with his guild when i quit the game and got my friends all banned when they did that
Dunno based on my friends that are maining classic(and my own memory) the HC ppl playing classic are well, for the most part just ppl that are too shit to progres on a real level.
It is funny how WoW players are elitist and demand that the game is aimed towards 1% of hc players when WoW started as babbys first MMO that is was easy and fun to play by anyone
I had a GF like Bigoldmeatpie in Cata. I was raiding Europe top 50 - she cheated on me, got me arrested for beating the guy and threatening to kill him. Good times xD dodged a bullet with her.
Jesus Christ, Author in the long ass story at 44 minutes has a Superhero name. Friendzone Man. Even worse? I could probably be his sidekick because I get friend zoned all the time.....but not at this level.....
As someone who has been playing Classic since day 1 and constantly exposed to and burned by this same nonsense, let me try to explain why this happens. The tryhards KNOW that Classic is piss easy. That's why they seek challenge in other things. The actual PvE content can't possibly satisfy them, so they compete with each other, rather than the game. This is why you constantly hear Classic players obsessing over parses as if they're literally the only thing in the entire game that matters. It would be one thing if the casuals and the tryhards could just peacefully co-exist, but the tryhard's ability to parse is highly dependent on whether the rest of the group is buffed. Members without buffs are far, far, far less effective when it comes to melting the boss and making sure the fight ends as fast as possible. Therefore everyone who is "too lazy" to chain themselves to their computer for hours before every raid to get these buffs and successfully navigate the gauntlet of dispellers on every PvP server, is a detriment to their ability to parse. This is what leads to all the friction within every Classic guild in existence right now. Thankfully in TBC the content actually necessitates consumables for clearing, and world buffs don't exist... but that's still probably a year away.
This dude says “Retail is better suited for such an attitude.”
Was the twist all along, that the author was the Classic Elitist.

Always enjoyable! Preach you make 3k cringe ratings seem like 1.5 fun pug times! 🤣

I wonder, based on the first story, when will "WoW Classic" earn it's rightful place on the list of universally acknowledged mental disorders.
Drama time? On a monday?!
Dunno based on my friends that are maining classic(and my own memory) the HC ppl playing classic are well, for the most part just ppl that are too shit to progres on a real level.
I live in Cumbria, curious why you hate it hahaha
Still love your content though
F for the computer
It is funny how WoW players are elitist and demand that the game is aimed towards 1% of hc players when WoW started as babbys first MMO that is was easy and fun to play by anyone
1% hc? Dude what?
It’s like people tryharding Mario Party
All I heard was someone who needs to find a more laid back guild instead of a min maxing/parsing guild.
He was so bad a sex, she wanted to stay friends
man the watercooled pc guy was so cringe
I had a GF like Bigoldmeatpie in Cata. I was raiding Europe top 50 - she cheated on me, got me arrested for beating the guy and threatening to kill him. Good times xD dodged a bullet with her.
Oh you were so right too...
So whatever happened to Andy/Ghost?
Jesus Christ, Author in the long ass story at 44 minutes has a Superhero name. Friendzone Man. Even worse? I could probably be his sidekick because I get friend zoned all the time.....but not at this level.....
ah just in time for breakfast 😌😌
38:30 okay, well some people dont really have family preach, so online friends are the best we can do. dont be so quick to judge.

Too depressing this one. Sometimes gamers really Just want to live their lives inside the game. Maybe the girl who left him wasn't that wrong at all
Think it has something to do with the people classic attracts. terrible players with a superiority complex
