This video helped me a lot. I feel like the shiping settings at shopify is very dificult to understand for beginners. Thank you a lot wish you a lot of success
I need your help. When I go to the shipping and delivery option on the left side menu and click on it it brings me to the right page. But when I go to 'Add Rate' The box does not give the option to choose a transit time.. See minute 3:15. My screen doesn't look like that. When I click "Add Rate', the next page wants me to pick a rate name in the first line and the second line says 'Price' (as it should). So in other words, my page looks just like this except the 'Transit Time' option is missing and replaced with 'Rate Name. The 'Price' option is still there. (minute 3:15)'. I'm trying to set to flat rate. Did I screw something up and do you know how to fix it. Shopify help menu is not helping me.Thanks.
When i added shipping carrier rates for UPS and USPS. i went to view my website store to see if the rates would apply when buying one of my products. at checkout it would not give me a shipping rate and said the address i put in was invalid despite it being a valid U.S. address. is there anyway to correct this? The only way it will show is if it put in a flat custom rate. But i want a calculated rate based off the carrier the buyer desires to use.
When you get a order from someone. Do you do the shipping or do you have it set to automatic by amazon? Im very new at this and i wanna test this out with someone but idk...
I really appreciate the important information you gave in this video, it helped me a lot to understand about this topic, this video is very good, thank you for sharing it with us
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Can one shipping rate override another? For example, if a customer orders both a mattress and a T-shirt, are the shipping rates combined? Or, can you set the mattress shipping rate to override the rate for other items, so that only the mattress shipping rate is applied, given that it is the most expensive item to ship in the cart?
Thank you so much for this video! It answered so many of my questions. The last item I'm confused on is how Shopify will select the right package and calculate shipping rates based on the weight of the items if you are using a carrier service. I did not put in any custom rates but instead selected carrier and app rates so that it is calculated each time. If I am sending one sticker for example, how would Shopify know to use the simple greeting card envelope as my shipping "box". When fulfilling the orders I see you can refund the customer and then fulfill the order. Is this the best route if your customer is overcharged for shipping? Do you have any videos on how the whole process works with Pirate Ship?
If I set up 2 different saved packages, how does shopify know which saved package to use to charge a customer for shipping? It seems like even though I have multiple saved packages, shopify is only charging a customer for the default. That is money I am losing by needing to cover the rest of the costs if a order requires a package larger than the default. Is there a way to fix this on shopify?
That pre order app I will check that out later. I need to reduce my international shipping cost and see what you did. Looks like shopify might be ahead.
so just to confirm can I add both custom rates AND carrier rates? or does it have to be one or the other? If I add both, will customers see the option on their end to pick from either one? or how does it work? Also when I'm adding a package size, is Custom Package used for Custom Rates, and Carrier Packages are used only with Carrier Rates that you've set up earlier in your video? Does it really matter? Can I use a custom package for an order with a Carrier Rate? thank you so much. this was super helpful!
Hey this is fantastic. Are you able to provide a one on one service to help set this up with me. I have lots of different rates for different products and I think I will struggle to set it up on shopify and GMC
When I go to add rate and click on use app or carrier app, there's nothing there. It says there is no carriers or app for this zone.....but it is domestic. What do I need to add?
it means youre on the basic plan. This feature can only work on the advanced plan or the plus plan. You can add it for a fee on the shopify plan or switch to annual shopify plan.
Hi, do you know why I can't get my return address to change? It is still showing my base, even though I have removed rates for base. I want a different address to show on my label.
Hi Jake, I followed your instructions for setting up a Custom Shipping Profile and applied it to specific products. However, it's not applying the Custom Shipping for those products at checkout? Do you know why that might be?
I got question? How do I set a shipping rate on 1 product. I have hundreds of product but I want to do a free just shipping on that one product? Thank you!
Another GREAT video.... A friend, who is a little ahead of me with developing her website said that the Craft theme will have to be upgraded (?) to calculate shipping rates and print shipping labels. Is this correct?
Hello! I'm new to Shopify and I'm lost on the saved packages settings. How can I configure each type of package of different products? Lets say I saved small, medium and large boxes. Different kind of products goes on each, but it seems like Shopify will use the default package to calculate the weight and cost of the shipping. Is it possible to assign different packages to different products so Shopify can take that into consideration?
Thanks for sharing... it looks like Shopify will not allow you to assign different box sizes to the products you choose. You can only have 1 single 'default' package but it let's you create multiple packages. A total slap in the face! It is obvious they have back door deals with 3rd party developers as you need a 'monthly subscription' app just to do do this simple task.... shady
This video helped me so much. I had two anxiety attacks over this part of building my shop. Thank you! God bless you.

How do you set up an express shipping option? thanks

watching this exactly a year after it was recorded, thank you!
When I try to do this all the countries are grayed out I can't select a single one and it says "in another zone" to the right of every country.
I got question? How do I set a shipping rate on 1 product. I have hundreds of product but I want to do a free just shipping on that one product? Thank you!
How can you set up your shipping and delivery if you want to connect it to your local post office?
You would just do local delivery and have your host country as a zone set up
Another GREAT video.... A friend, who is a little ahead of me with developing her website said that the Craft theme will have to be upgraded (?) to calculate shipping rates and print shipping labels. Is this correct?
will shopify actually ship to these countries when my dropshipped items ship out to them ???
Awesome video thanks for the tips! Really informative. Side note - I heard this with headphones on and I heard every aspect of your pasty mouth. Lol.
He can set the automatic shipping rates because he has the premium plan on shopify. Just fyi
