Pacific Games need Australia and New Zealand to boost their performance. It is a good decision to include them. This games need to elevate to world class. Our athletes are competing in Commonwealth games and Olympic games. We need high competitive performance to perform in the world claas games. I don't to see recreation games in the Pacific Games. Its time to develop this games to higher performance event to select the best athletes to the commonwealtj and Olympic games. Think higher for sports development in all Pacifc countries. I witnessed pacific countries in commonwealth a d olympic games and felt ashame because of very lower standard of performances. The decision to include Australia and New Zealand is the best decision evwr made by this sporting body. They are too pacific people. Watching an Aborigine runner won a gold medal made feel real good and excited to have some of our brothers and sisters from Australia participating in the Pacific Games. Thats the way to go sports minded official

Australia should be left out
Both Aussies and NZ should not be taking part,funny and just unfair to small island nation,they are train in world class facilities and better trained,and so it's just not right,leave the Pacific games,to smaller islands,to compete!!
They bring geopolitics into the Pacific, therefore they must leave, not to participate in the next Pacific games. We already have New Caledonia and Tahiti for many many years, and we can use these two countries' performance as a yardstick to advance at the international level. Aussie and NZ must be excluded in the next game. They bring Geopolitics to the Pacific Games, and China and the USA will be the next team in waiting.

How do the non-, indigenous Australians and New Zealanders fit into the Pacific culture? Let the Islanders sports develop in their own phase or, only allow their indigenous team. They have already colonized us in politics in our land, and to continue colonizing us in sports is not on.
Why are australians and new Zealanders playing in the pacific games?
Is good they play in the pacific games. They are pacific people too. In order for athletes of pacific countries to elevate to higher performance we need Australia and New Zealand for competitive performance. Oue athletes compete at commonwealth games and Olympic games, athletes need to expose to higher performance to motivate them to go higher. Australia pull out from Oceania football confederation because its give no competitive to its team to reach world cup. Now every world cup Australia always take part. We need more strong sports countries in the pacific games to elevate the level of competitiveness.
It's their U20 athletes that are allowed to participate, not their senior national team...imagine if their senior team came...LOL

There is no money in here. Pacific games is climbing up because it involve more competitves athletes. The pacific games annot stay on the same level. New Caldonia are lucky with the supportbof France and they are France territory. Teir athletes are based in France most of the time and participate in higher competitive games. France rank the highest in sports. Therefore the New Caldonia athletes are France citizens and that is why they dominate medal tally. But I am happy that many small countries like Nauru, cook Islands, Northern Mariana, kiribati are coming up this time because of their continue participation in region and international games like Pacific Games. The changes to involve Australia and Nrw Zealand is a positive approach to make sure Pacif Games is ranking high in sports fraternity around Pacific regions and Oceania.
We don't need their money but competitiveness. Example Solomon Islands government meet all transport, accommodation and food of all contigents of the 24 countries paeticipate in the Pacific Games this year 2023. Some of the countries mentioned by the Prime Minister in his speech thanking them for their support and help which include Australia because of bilateral relationship of the two countries like China. But otherwise solomon Islands taxpayers' money meet all the expenses. Therefore what you say is not true regarding wanting money from Australia and New Zealand. So don't base your argument on money. Think positive of how this Pacific Games can be develop into international standard. This will be great for the Pacific countries which include Australia and New Zealand.
It's a good challenge for athletes from Pacific Islands

Australians & NZ are world-class athletes and should not compete in Pacific Games against smaller pacific nations. It's not exciting any more like previous games.
We need them to elevate our level of competitivness. We can be world class if we open to embrass world class athletes. Think positive of developing our athletes to world class.
You need world class challenge in order to come up to world class standard. Playing amongst your own level won't bring you anywhere.
