Alto Choir Practice: "Minuit, Chrétiens", "Cantique de Noël" is a Christmas carol composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847. "Minuit, Chrétiens" (Midnight, Christians) is a poem by Placide Cappeau (1808--1877). John Sullivan Dwight created the English singing edition "O Holy Night", based on Cappeau's French text in 1855. The Carol reflects on the birth of Jesus and of mankind's redemption. French Score SATB parts are included on this channel.
