Jaafar Jackson Reflects on his Journey in Pakistan with ARY News (2020)

  • Jaafar Jackson embarked on a week-long journey to Pakistan in February of 2020, made possible by his childhood friend Omar Sheikh and British-Pakistani entrepreneur Zeeshan Shah, as part of the Changing Perceptions Initiative. Zeeshan Shah, a board member of China-Pakistan Investment Corporation (CPIC), a prominent property developer in Gwadar, spearheaded the initiative. The Changing Perceptions Initiative, a CPIC endeavor, aims to foster positive transformation in Pakistan by constructing safe, sustainable communities that promote unity, bolster businesses, and cultivate a vibrant lifestyle.
    During his visit, Jaafar explored national landmarks and cultural treasures, while also engaging with locals, students, and entrepreneurs across various cities. His itinerary included visits to prestigious institutions such as NUST and COMSATS universities in Islamabad, a meeting with Mohammad Sarwar, the Governor of Punjab, at the Governor's House in Lahore, and stops at Sceptre College, Habib University, the National Incubation Center, NED University of Engineering & Technology (NUDET), and The Citizens Foundation schools in Karachi, as well as Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University in Lyari.
    In addition to these engagements, Jaafar made appearances on several television programs including World This Morning, Shiffa Yousafzai, Geo News, Dawn News, Bakhabar Savera, GTV Network, Now News, Digital News Network, Voice of Sindh, HUM News Pakistan, BBC Urdu, and Khaleej Times (Dubai). In his interviews and remarks, Jaafar expressed gratitude towards his hosts and conveyed his profound appreciation for the hospitality he received in Pakistan. He also revealed plans to release an album and expressed a desire to return to Pakistan for performances in the future.
