Passed my 66! Thanks for helping. You truly are the guru. Test was about what I expected -I didn’t see questions about precious metals or futures/forwards. Nor the sofa question -A couple questions on federal covered advisers -3 or 4 on custody -2 on soft dollars -2 on powers of administrator -Didn’t see per stripes or per capita -Didn’t see Coverdells and don’t remember seeing 529 -had 1 option ? That was easy -Quite a few questions on prohibited/unethical practices. -1 or 2 on bonds -1 or 2 on annuities -1 or 2 on CAPM -2 on modern portfolio theory -Had to calculate current ratio from a balance sheet -2 on discounted cash flow -I used my calculator once then I realized I really didn’t need it because the math was easy -2 ?’s on DAF’s -2 on investment policy statement -3 or 4 ?’s on types of accounts(tic, jtwros, entirety, etc) Can’t remember much else. My brain is mush. Just thought I’d post to possibly help someone else like you’ve helped us

Dean, I just passed the 66. Secured the hat trick! Had to come on here and thank you immediately. My test location was 2 hours from where i'm living and I listened to this on repeat the entire way there (primarily the first 25 min). I failed the first time, and my job depended on if I passed it or not this time... You can imagine how much stress I was under and how much I slept last night lol. I had heard from a few friends that this channel is a MUST listen to, especially on a long drive over to the testing location. You are doing the lords work and I cant thank you enough!!! I will be stressing that this channel is a must for everyone else that has to take this trash can of an exam. A little about this exam compared to the first that I think you may want to know. The first exam had maybe 1/2 questions regarding annuities and life insurance and the taxation on them. This one had easily 12-15... Thank god I hammered that bit before and memorized a few concepts so that way, as soon as I started the test, I wrote them down immediately. This helped substantially allowing me to use process of elimination on the remainder that I didn't cover. Again, thank you so much for your help! YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! Best, Alan Grissom

Dean, I just passed the Series 66 this morning - Thank you so much for your content. I started my testing journey at the end of March of this year, passed the SIE, failed the 7 the first time, retook about 6 weeks later and passed, then the 66 today. So grateful for your videos and advice - coming from someone who just started in the finance industry last year, they were so helpful and put into terms I could better understand than the courses I took. For Series 7, options was the hardest part for me to master. I watched all of your videos and spent a lot of time doing question after question, and memorizing the options chart. I don't think it will ever leave my memory, haha. Also, the bond teeter totter - when I watched that video, a total light went on in my head and I used that in every exam. I also purchased TestGeek's 66 quick notes based on your recommendation and that was extremely helpful, especially for the registrations I kept mixing up. I can say that if you put the work in, the result pays off :) I also can say that the test started off easy, was hard in the middle, and easy at the end. Good luck to future test takers!

Dean, I used Kaplan and studied on my own - was scoring in the 60s pretty consistently. Found your channel and supplemented my studying with your videos; I began to score 80s consistently. Dean, I wanted to offer some feedback on the 66 from today's exam . I did pass and nothing was unexpected, the wording was super tricky. But doable with plenty of study and practice. I had 3 math questions. One was calculating current ratio using a corporate balance sheet. The other was calculating a mutual funds NAV and the third was working capital. Going thru the outline, just some highlights. Anything that was a definition type question has two answers almost identical. Analytical methods: Debt to ratio definition Price to book , who uses it and why Current ratio calculation IRR Investment vehicles: What is investor assuming when viewing yield to call One or two premium and discount questions on bonds Bond ratings Multiple technical and fundamental analysis questions. (Essential definition, how they are used , how they evaluate stock) Characteristic of class C shares Tax implications on gains on mutual funds Benchmarks used Recognize why manager tenure important Difference between dollar weight and time weight Calculate NAV ONE option question. (who made money when index went down) Structured product definition One or two insurance questions. Why used gold ETF Difference in C corp and S Corp What does cash flow help determine What items in client interview are not quantitative Multiple modern portfolio theory questions Efficient market hypothesis recognition Essential definition of MPT management styles , contrast Dollar cost averaging Estate tax -2 questions Why have a will What avoids probate 2 or 3 ERISA questions Best for kids college QDROs Definition of margin Excessive trading -2 or 3 on that The regulations questions were pretty much what Kaplan prep questions prepared for. The wording was tricky of course ... And the scenarios were more complicated but it was doable.

YOU THE BEST! I watched your SIE, Series 7, and now Series 66 1hr review before every test. Just passed the 66, I don't think I could have done it without you. Passed each first try, I would park outside the test center an hour before and watch your video before walking in. Massive help getting in the right headspace. For those of you taking the 66, not much math, I used my calculator maybe once or twice, the rest was recognition of the formula so make sure you understand each one, had 1 question on options, multiple questions on CAPM, Div Discount, DCF, RRR, IRR, and discounting. Bond questions on YTC and YTM but again no math. Current Ratio.

Dean, I just got home from passing my 66. Your videos have been a huge part of my success and it feels good to say I am fully registered. I listened to this on the way to the test and it really got me in the mindset. For those testing: at least in my experience, the test was more straightforward than any practice materials I used. Maybe I got a good draw but that almost felt easier than the SIE and definitely easier than the 7. The only time I hit submit and knew I blew it out of the water. Material wise: lot’s of definitions and recognition of formulas (like Dean said- listen to Dean) and definitely a nice mix of everything on the test outline. This might be a regulatory test but do not underestimate the investment piece. Lot’s of recognition of analysis (fund/tech/quant) and asset allocation. Only thing I was very confused on was why I got 2 coverdell questions but nothing about 529’s. Very weird draw as far as “accounts” go. Thanks for everything Dean! Gonna go get my CFP in a year or so and wish you taught it. Would love recommendations!

just wanted to say thanks again Dean for ur vids, especially this one, that helped me pass the 66 this afternoon. I used passperfect, and this time (as oppose to 7) their databank actually had a few questions that were similar in wording and structure so that helped too. Overall it was pretty easy, questions and answer choices were straightforward that isn’t trying to trip ppl up, as long as takers get familiarized with terms, like ur teachings, should be in good shape. Finished under 2hrs. One surprising thing tho, my favorite subject options didn’t show up even once. Even wrote memory tool for it on dump sheet at beginning of test but didn’t need it. as well as calculator, maybe used just once. fyi. Hopefully my career progression leads me back to ur channel for 9/10, we’ll see, but thx again, keep up the good work!

you're a G passed the 66 today! I actually have a piece of advice for the Guru (blasphemy I know). There were four people for whom English was their second language taking the test in the same testing center today. All four failed. The 66 is a reading test undoubtedly. I don't know what compelled but a couple of nights ago I looked up some of the actual documents referred to on the 66 (33, 34, 40, patriot, etc). I'm not suggesting people read the entire thing (it's lengthy), but if there's a section where students (especially foreign students) are struggling with the language is VERY (emphasis on very) similar on the test. Hope that is helpful, and thank you again for getting me threw all the FINRA exams first try.

This one had easily 12-15... Thank god I hammered that bit before and memorized a few concepts so that way, as soon as I started the test, I wrote them down immediately. This helped substantially allowing me to use process of elimination on the remainder that I didn't cover.

Dean, I just passed the Series 66 this morning - Thank you so much for your content. I started my testing journey at the end of March of this year, passed the SIE, failed the 7 the first time, retook about 6 weeks later and passed, then the 66 today. So grateful for your videos and advice - coming from someone who just started in the finance industry last year, they were so helpful and put into terms I could better understand than the courses I took. For Series 7, options was the hardest part for me to master. I watched all of your videos and spent a lot of time doing question after question, and memorizing the options chart. I don't think it will ever leave my memory, haha. Also, the bond teeter totter - when I watched that video, a total light went on in my head and I used that in every exam. I also purchased TestGeek's 66 quick notes based on your recommendation and that was extremely helpful, especially for the registrations I kept mixing up. I can say that if you put the work in, the result pays off :) I also can say that the test started off easy, was hard in the middle, and easy at the end. Good luck to future test takers!

Dean, I wanted to offer some feedback on the 66 from today's exam . I did pass and nothing was unexpected, the wording was super tricky. But doable with plenty of study and practice.
I had 3 math questions. One was calculating current ratio using a corporate balance sheet. The other was calculating a mutual funds NAV and the third was working capital.
Going thru the outline, just some highlights. Anything that was a definition type question has two answers almost identical.
Analytical methods:
Debt to ratio definition
Price to book , who uses it and why
Current ratio calculation
IRR
Investment vehicles:
What is investor assuming when viewing yield to call
One or two premium and discount questions on bonds
Bond ratings
Multiple technical and fundamental analysis questions. (Essential definition, how they are used , how they evaluate stock)
Characteristic of class C shares
Tax implications on gains on mutual funds
Benchmarks used
Recognize why manager tenure important
Difference between dollar weight and time weight
Calculate NAV
ONE option question. (who made money when index went down)
Structured product definition
One or two insurance questions.

Multiple modern portfolio theory questions
Efficient market hypothesis recognition

The regulations questions were pretty much what Kaplan prep questions prepared for. The wording was tricky of course ... And the scenarios were more complicated but it was doable.

YOU THE BEST! I watched your SIE, Series 7, and now Series 66 1hr review before every test. Just passed the 66, I don't think I could have done it without you. Passed each first try, I would park outside the test center an hour before and watch your video before walking in. Massive help getting in the right headspace.
For those of you taking the 66, not much math, I used my calculator maybe once or twice, the rest was recognition of the formula so make sure you understand each one, had 1 question on options, multiple questions on CAPM, Div Discount, DCF, RRR, IRR, and discounting. Bond questions on YTC and YTM but again no math. Current Ratio.

Dean, I just got home from passing my 66. Your videos have been a huge part of my success and it feels good to say I am fully registered. I listened to this on the way to the test and it really got me in the mindset.
For those testing: at least in my experience, the test was more straightforward than any practice materials I used. Maybe I got a good draw but that almost felt easier than the SIE and definitely easier than the 7. The only time I hit submit and knew I blew it out of the water.
Material wise: lot’s of definitions and recognition of formulas (like Dean said- listen to Dean) and definitely a nice mix of everything on the test outline. This might be a regulatory test but do not underestimate the investment piece. Lot’s of recognition of analysis (fund/tech/quant) and asset allocation. Only thing I was very confused on was why I got 2 coverdell questions but nothing about 529’s. Very weird draw as far as “accounts” go.

I passed my series 66 yesterday. Your videos played a big role in me passing. I have the STC program, which is great, but not until I started listening to your videos did it all make sense. You make the material easy to understand. You are very detailed and that is so needed to pass this test. I watched your videos over and over every day for 3 weeks straight. You are the best. just wanted to say thanks again Dean for ur vids, especially this one, that helped me pass the 66 this afternoon. I used passperfect, and this time (as oppose to 7) their databank actually had a few questions that were similar in wording and structure so that helped too. Overall it was pretty easy, questions and answer choices were straightforward that isn’t trying to trip ppl up, as long as takers get familiarized with terms, like ur teachings, should be in good shape. Finished under 2hrs. One surprising thing tho, my favorite subject options didn’t show up even once. Even wrote memory tool for it on dump sheet at beginning of test but didn’t need it. as well as calculator, maybe used just once. fyi. Hopefully my career progression leads me back to ur channel for 9/10, we’ll see, but thx again, keep up the good work!

you're a G passed the 66 today! I actually have a piece of advice for the Guru (blasphemy I know). There were four people for whom English was their second language taking the test in the same testing center today. All four failed. The 66 is a reading test undoubtedly. I don't know what compelled but a couple of nights ago I looked up some of the actual documents referred to on the 66 (33, 34, 40, patriot, etc). I'm not suggesting people read the entire thing (it's lengthy), but if there's a section where students (especially foreign students) are struggling with the language is VERY (emphasis on very) similar on the test. Hope that is helpful, and thank you again for getting me threw all the FINRA exams first try.
