These hip hop artists of the past speak so well and articulate. Today's hip hop artists with tattoos on their face and gold in their mouth are the dumbest representation of a hip hop artist. Also, these guys are great story tellers as well. Perhaps it's an east coast thing and time? 5:00 mark… This is ridiculous. Africa Bam’s Birthday is April, 17th, 1957. Planet Rock was released in 1982, this would make him 25 years old… stop the cap🧢. Where is Gayle King surviving Bamm? I also watch KRS and was disgusting when he said our leaders are infallible… I lost all respect for him as well. He could of left it as I don’t know but if so I denounced that, but he doubled down and read from the hip hop bible which he wrote…. Claiming divine inspiration SMH……insanity.
When money comes into play, deviant behavior takes place abs swept under the rug for popularity, fame but in the end destroying people . Sad they never said anything. Sad .

KRS One Lectures on the History of Hip Hop and the foundation of that lecture is Bambatta being a Father of Hip Hop. KRS lectured around the country for probably a decade or more before the Bambatta stories came to full light. So KRS developed a educational business tied to including Bambatta in his Lectures. He was/is lecturing on college campuses BTW. For him to fully condemn Bambatta he would have to change the content of his lecture tour, briefly mention a person ( Bam) that he raved about and condemn Bambatta’s behavior every lecture. I think KRS knew he was faced with that but refused to handle it properly
Props my dude, good for you reading between the lines and thinking critically. One of the few people that kinda gets it, and doesn't just twist KRS-One's words around. Also gotta think about how hard it is to imagine a person in a negative way, you respect and hold in high regard. I have my personal issues with a few things he said, but he was never defending it. However he was brushing it off, making it seem like it wasn't as serious as it was.
After Hassan Campbell came out with this...Zulu had a meeting with Bam and made him step down...but it got swept under the rug after that...it just crazy everybody knew weird shit was going on..but nobody spoke..especially in that era...when the it took a whole village motto was still relevant...and people still had morales passed from grandparents...no matter what hood you claimed...his legacy should be diminished if this proves to be true...
That shit bugged me out hearing black spade gestapo ran up on bambataa and palmed him these dudes from what I heard growing up from my ogs the worst of the black spades....🤯
What the hell going on damn!!!!!! Every time I turn around one of the brothers are gay wtf. The question these days who is not gay this is messed up smh
Nah, that's not what he was saying. He was projecting that KRS One didn't give af about the claims that are being made by alleged victims of African Bambaata, by implying that Krs was jaded.
@It doesn’t matter What your name is he always been weird to me. Even when he would stop by the basement on Rap City. As a kid I thought he was off. Looking like a Fraggle didn't help either. His mannerisms.....
My dad stood on that. He knew l, like jazz, that rap and hip hop were calling cards of boys who've been "bothered"(as my dad would say). After all this time, I now understand that he was sharing his story with his uncle Joe's violence on him
This is why they built projects, slaveships on land, welfare/Section 8 made sure there was no man in the house, or he had to go if unemployed, kids left to fed for self. People wonder why 2 generations killing each other and buggin. They don't know how to be men and others took advantage. Rah is being careful re: legal, but in other words, he should have been put down and black book burned. KRS lost me. Known him for a long time, that messed me up. The teacher, care about children? That means you were down or involved, point blank, period. My gang would have taken care of it in house, just saying... And Zulu was the ish. Because he stopped the violence with this thing of ours, we're supposed to let it past? Bronx River looked a way because of that and Hip Hop looks a way because of that. Look at how much of it's going on now. That's what he contributed to. If getting brothers off the block slinging, to get another bag where they're controlled is more important than our children, parenting and taking responsibility in the black community, i'm sorry it ever happened... And we've influenced the world. And I live, breathe, grew up in it, but the culture of black males grifting off others deaths, clout chasing, snitching before and after the deaths of the greats, for a look or a bag, has always been female behavior. So called men arguing back and forth online. I can't. And our sisters constantly degrading the black man, jumping on the bandwagon of the system and whites.
Sisters have suffered at the hands of black men as well! You just said that a lot of these boys weren’t raised to be men because of the absence of a male figure allowing black women to continually fend for themselves! A woman can’t raise a boy to be a man in those types of environments, so I don’t know why it’s so hard for black men to take accountability because black women were faced with the same lifestyle and tried their best. Black men have been talking down on black women for centuries and you’re mad black women are telling black men to fight for the cause and step up to the plate?! You had me in the beginning with generational traumas that impacted the black community but lost me when you said black women are jumping on the bandwagon when they’re the only ones advocating for black love and the black community
Well said Rahiem. Interesting that you say to "read between the lines" and look deeper regarding KRS ONE supporting Bam. I take that to mean you are saying KRS ONE is one of the bad guys. I tend to agree with you.
What he means is that KRS has been lecturing on his version of "Hip Hop" his-story, and big part of it includes Bam. The lectures were his bread and butter.

I had to pause the video @3:23 for a laugh break 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
These hip hop artists of the past speak so well and articulate. Today's hip hop artists with tattoos on their face and gold in their mouth are the dumbest representation of a hip hop artist. Also, these guys are great story tellers as well. Perhaps it's an east coast thing and time?
Today, I cannot understand what these wrappers are saying, and their lyrics are poorly initiated into their art.
Lol i'm glad you said that too. I am English and thought maybe my English is too different. But some of the lingo i hear from these guys is not English, I swear.
@@englishrose5483 yeah I agree one hundred 💯. There's dumb music for the dumb listeners out there. Apparently we aren't one of them. Cheers mate 👍🏻
@@Ayog06 Artists back in the day were articulate, street wise, had powerful lyrics and raw talent. Most had a social or political message. They knew the struggle. They cared less about money and more about people. Now, the more ignorant, sexualised, greedy, narcissistic and selfish you are the more you are appreciated. It's all about joining the billionaire's club. The industry now has less artists and more whores. P.s I am a female English rose. The male flowers here are called Dandies lol. ;}

I would never condone a man doing tht to kids and I ve follwed Hassans incident..since he FIRST ANNOUNCED IT on YT and 1..he is not a Powerful Voice unless you dont have no type of sense and understanding because the stuff he Tries to say an talk about..has been spoken already..PLUS as i stated ..ive followed from the START..he only outed Bam..because Ronald started blowing up in social media and Bam quit giving him$$$..HC just wants attention an to be recognized as a OG FROM THE STREETS..he lies so much ..its ridiculous..before u even reply to this comme..atleast watch all the shows he did..the very 1st..thrn u will see all the inconsistencies in that Story...any street stories from back in thr day..he remembers like yesterday...even the lawyer waS gnna take his case Pro bono..he didnt follow suit because he know he was lying...just start with doggie diamonds,Star and H.O.K. pods an take notes on what he says..peace

After Hassan Campbell came out with this...Zulu had a meeting with Bam and made him step down...but it got swept under the rug after that...it just crazy everybody knew weird shit was going on..but nobody spoke..especially in that era...when the it took a whole village motto was still relevant...and people still had morales passed from grandparents...no matter what hood you claimed...his legacy should be diminished if this proves to be true...

in other words bam may have gotten KRS-1
My dad stood on that. He knew l, like jazz, that rap and hip hop were calling cards of boys who've been "bothered"(as my dad would say). After all this time, I now understand that he was sharing his story with his uncle Joe's violence on him
Well said 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯 PERCENT
