-ritual monsters that don’t need ritual spells(megalith, libro)
-synchro monsters that don’t need tuners(harpies, that new chaos one that just came out)
-xyz that don’t need to xyz summon(springans)
-links that don’t need to be link summoned(tri-brigade)
This gives me hope that someday we will get Gemini monsters that don’t need to be normal summoned twice.
UNFORTUNATELY, Springan's field spell doesn't count as an xyz summon, so we still need a real xyz deck that don't xyz summon

We can only hope the TCG follows the OCG and completely overkill orbital nukes Ishizu Tear the way they did over there. Banning Kitkallos; limiting to 1 Scheiren, Reinoheart, Perlereino, Agido, Keldo, Fenrir, and Magnamut; semi-limiting Havnis, Foolish Burial Goods, Pot of P, and Grass
I have a good news, tearlaments remains best deck in ocg as of now. Just because tearlaments lost 60% of it power doesn't mean other decks has gotten any stronger.
As much as I hate tear they're still the best deck in OCG despite the nuke lmao.
It just shows how well above everything Ishizu Tear really was

I love how the Libromancer field spell is the ritual spell. It makes it so much easier . Rituals tend to be more complex and take up more space. You need the ritual spell and the ritual monsters in your deck and the right levels it’s just too much waste . Having the field spell do it helps a ton
Dogmatika using the Extra Deck or GY to ritual summon is also pretty cool. Rituals are my favourite special summon monsters so it's good they are getting more love lately.

It's mind numbing to me how much more uphill all fights against Tear are than any other previous meta.
Really? How uphill was it to fight Drytron's 5 negates? Spyral? Zoo?
@@chaotixthefox I don't know about spyral, or zoodiac but drytron wasn't that bad there was a lot of ways to break their boards with stuff like dark ruler and forbidden droplets or at least for me since they can also get hit by every hand trap in the game.

@@chaotixthefox Listen man, it's just annoying to duel a deck that puts out so many points of interaction that it's almost impossible to hand trap that can also out grind pretty much everything since it spins it's fusion materials back into deck. One that also has the ability to shut down pretty much any GY based deck that isn't as aggressive as Tear. At least with boards running 4/5 negates you could just droplet, shutoff most of them and try and win on the follow up. That plus most of them only had like one or two hand traps to interact with you if you go first. With Tear you activate one Monster effect going first, and suddenly the enemy has a full board and a Mudora in GY before you can even put up one piece of interaction.
Or an alternative strategy. Lava golem all those opponents monsters then crash into the golem 3 times for game like god intended
This is about as much Mikanko as his Ghostrick Deck was Ghostrick.

I’ve heard most people pronounce it that way, so unless they change their name in translation, it’s probably best to get used to it xD

As a Japanese speaker, that’s straight up how you pronounce it. The tensing is slightly off, but that’s expecting way too much.

"stretching what can be called a mikanko deck profile" ppg used to class anything playing dragoon as red-eyes so it's probably fine.
been learning and playing this deck as well, an alternative strat is using the Oohime's effect to equip Arabesque (on an opponent's monster) and tag into Nini for an extra potential bounce. Another strat is using the r6 inzktor xyz to recycle the arc light from diviner and into Rhinosebus for a search, a pop and perform the Archlord Krystia Lock. Though libromancer still dies to 1 negate at their combo start :C
Because I bothered to learn a tiny amount of japanese, I feel the need to explain that the Oo of Oohime is a long-duration long O sound. That is, you say O like in "Oh my" but you say it longer than normal for a Japanese vowel. It is on oo like in "goo" because that is more like a long-duration u sound. How long to you normally say a vowel in Japanese? How would I explain that in text!?

You can flip that name around, this is a Libromancer/Mikanko deck, as in Libromancert first by a long mile. This is as much a Mikanko deck as the Despia/Branded decks when SDAZ dropped were Frightfur decks.

Pretty sure it's because every single card that has to 2 of them in it is literally focused on them only interacting with each other. You could remove everyone but the 2 of them in all their spell traps and it would change nothing........ Also geek boys art he has a man inside of him.

Then again, there is usually a not insignificant amount of fanboys\gals in every anime who want the two leads of the same sex to sex samely (honestly, same for opposite sex) even if it is obviously not gonna happen. I get why you want to play a really condensed mikanko package, but at least in the side for going second I think 2-3 arabesque, 1 fire girl and another mikanko equip spell are too good to pass up.
With arabesque (which you can get from the ritual) you get 1 compulsory+a body+snatch steal that seems crazy going second.
Can You equip arabesque to a opponet's monster?

Do a Vendread video, so we can all see exactly what an intentionally mediocre archetype looks like. I mean, they seriously made Scar lock you out of every ED card in the game except Avendread Savior solely so that you can't make a rank 6 xyz with it. Why? Why do this? The archetype is already super limited ffs.

Gotta love modern Yugioh where when it's a competitive deck with a competent player vs another competitive deck with a competent player, the deck that goes first always wins.....unless you are playing Tearlaments.

Most decks throughout the years have largely not relied on the player being competent past the deckbuilding part.

@@jacobwoodman4488 Normally yes, but in this case actually no. Oohime's effect says to equip to an appropriate target on the field which bypasses targeting protection. I've seen her use her effect on a Borrelend Dragon and Darkest Diabolos in the past.

Ok but real talk, Arabesque is busted. Anything that doesnt have targeting protection/isnt towers just gets yeeted back into the deck for Hare (or the new lv3 psychic)+a search. In games 2/3, arabesque and a hare or two are extremely potent board breaking tools.
...also libros *also* have a snatch steal? Displaced? 9 times out of 10 yeah you search intervention but on the off chance you find it in your opener? Intervention+displaced+mirror rondo is functionally an ftk
Arabesque is so incredibly versatile. You could bounce back your own Bystials and your opponent’s monsters. Idk why you wouldn’t run them

One card as a three-of, and two one-ofs for an archetype. And it isn't even a core part of the loop, just some additional interaction that enables other plays. This might be worse than the ghostrick deck.

i mean libromancer has their own "snatch steal" dat exactly do the same as dat mikanko equip spell so why bother playin the engine for 1 time only? especially with libromancer lvl 6 main monster deck (i forgot the name) you can recycle it and even recycle intervention. anw dats a great video mbt, love to see more 10 min testing.
i really want to like mikanko but it just doesn't know what it wants to do. the monsters are written as go second punish that monsters have way to high atk for the life points we have but then the equippes are written like it wants to control the field and slowly grind out a win

Well, I guess I'm still here (Drytron player), constantly losing to all the anti-meta cards, like all of them; they destroy you. Even the trap is surprisingly effective, preventing you from ritual summoning in any capacity. Oh, and not to mention the spright board breakers killing any hope of keeping a vanity's on field. Trust me, they draw the out... This only makes it more fun when you go wombo combo and win anyway.
Even if the mud dragon resolved you would still be able to target the kit in that same chain btw
