The last two songs of evermore tells us that you can either remain still in time..think you're still 23 in your fantasy or you can walk out or move on realising it's time to go.
It's not about choosing either of them everyone has to go through both stages at some point and noone gets stuck or lives in fantasy forever this song is more like an inspiration that u will know when to let go

Finally, a person acknowledge these kind of emotions and stop romanticizing the thought that always taking a risk makes you a bold person. However, it resonates with me this lyrics "Sometimes giving up is the strong thing. Sometimes to run is the brave thing. Sometimes walking out is the one thing, that will find you in the right thing." Not taking risks in life does not mean you're scared but making those decisions in life that makes you want to give up, walk away, and ran with it was the bravest and the boldest things we've ever done, when there's nothing left and you know that there's no sense to continue when you know it's not the one will take you to the right way.
Yes, and I also feel that it's a big risk to give something or someone up. Maybe some people don't look at it that way, but sometimes walking away from someone is the hardest decision you can make.

I really don't know how else to explain it, but evermore just has this luring magic to it. The entire album just seems so comforting, like a warm hug, like folklore's older sister. The songs feel like they have existed forever and somewhere throughout my life, I have heard them but they just needed to be discovered again.

I was never into Taylor’s post-country era with all her beefs with her exes and other people. But after evermore I have realized the one thing I refused I acknowledged time over time was that how this woman was (“is” actually) so antagonized by the media as an aggressive and bitter person just because she decided to voice her opinions. I was led by the media this whole time and almost missed out on this masterpiece of an album. Not only that I related to your feelings, I also saw the “ripe fulness” in Taylor both musically and mentally in this album.

This album is a lyrical masterpiece. She tells great stories, and they're so relatable. Whenever I feel upset, her songs always make me happy, even tho they are sad songs. Especially this song is my therapy. It doesn't mean you are a freak when you go away and run and whatever. You sometimes have to let it go and leave it behind. You don't have to act to be loved by others. Just be who you are, and don't let others affect you. I got some bad exam results today. Those lockdowns really were rough. My whole life I've placed a lot of expectations on myself - building my identity around my success. I am in a similar situation. Pursued studies in STEM and did not realize until my final year that this is not what I want to do. I pushed myself to the point where not only was I not getting the results I wanted but I was neglecting my self-care. The most important thing to do is to listen to yourself. Whatever you decide, pursue what you enjoy even if it may scare you. I wish you the best!

This song is like a breath of fresh air for me. It feels like she wrote thing song for me because my dad was abusive and listening to this song brought back the feeling I had when we finally broke free from him.
