Great to watch this video again after a long time. So wonderful. The first number is Elysian Fields a lovely composition by Shaye. Love the whole atmosphere with the dancers. Absolutely fantastic. The Lonesome Road performance as second tune so skillfull. I love this song so much. Then Jones Law Blues by Benny Moten. It was just new in their mighty repertoire. Great solo by Barnabus. And I love the typical groove and the middle theme how hilarious. .
Erika is at the microphone, Tuba Skinny is playing the intro to "Lonesome Road," and "Blue and Lonesome," possibly the best female vocalist out of New Orleans, knocks it out of the park! 5 Stars!
And Michel, many thanks .. from those of us back in the States & around the world. I'll get to see them later in the Summer on their Summer Eastern Tour - in Philadelphia Aug. 30th.
Check out that free spirit with the white top and black pants and that jazzy trans doing her thang...you can't hep it...you gotta move those feets I guarantee they wasn't thee only ones shaking a leg around you fine players...beautiful vocals Erica. And shay you got that band smooth as a baby's behind...just lovely not a blemish upon any of ya...just well done well done finer than frog hair great job you wonderfully ta planted artists...it is an honor to listen to you all together ...I love you all..from all of usinz to all a you-inz !!!!😗😙😚😘
Tuba Skinny, for me the best traditional Dixieland Band from New Orleans (or from the world ??) with the famous ladies Shaye Cohn and Erika Lewis 👏👏🎺🎺🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸❗️
This first tune, which Robin introduces as 'original', first heard back in January, recorded on different occasions by Randy (RaoulDuke504) busking and James Sterling at The Maison, was "unnamed". Still is, I guess ... quite lovely and wistful. One of at least three new compositions introduced last Winter, "Magnolia Stroll" and "Minor Fret".
It turns out these three are from: Max Bein-Kahn - Magnolia Stroll; Craig Flory - Minor Fret; plus Sweet Olive here by Robin. The musical talent & skill here seems endless .. of course Shaye has composed several tune, Erika also and Jason Lawrence has composed at least one for his R&B band.
Her Mic was way too muted...sounded muffled and turned off...love her vocals and Shay omg..trombone washboard tuba banjo clarinet trumpet gee tar too...my goodness you all sound like a heavenly band of joyful soulful musicians who have mastered every facet of this music..artists truly artistry at its finest...I'm yelling my fool head off over here...you all sound like the voice of a long lost friend to my soul right now...I love you all so do the gang here at this 3 ring circus we like to call home just sounds better than what it really is...it's a darn nut farm...that makes me the head honcho of we r nuts incorporated. Xoxo love from us enz to you enz♥️🎉🎊✨🃏🌐✌🏼
I think Erika could improve her diction without losing any feeling or intensity. She slurs too much, maybe striving for authenticity(?) and the words are not very clear. Not a criticism' just a helpful comment.
About the first song presented as a composition of the band, here the previous comment (below) by Bob Throne "This first tune, which Robin introduces as 'original', first heard back in January, recorded on different occasions by Randy (RaoulDuke504) busking and James Sterling at The Maison, was "unnamed". According to the Lasse Collin's website (cjam.lassecollin.se/songs2/imblueandlonesome150322.html), I'm Blue and Lonesome was created by Georgia White and Richard M. Jones in 1938. With a voice like that Erika and those sultry smiles you will never be BLUE and LONESOME ( Australia ) :-) 🐸.
The band just keeps getting better. The best cure for being blue and lonesome is listening to Tuba Skinny.

See you all at your upcoming gig in Burbank, CA!
Yep, will be there at Joe's
Even the dancers seem to be so in sync!!
The dancers can see that someone’s video recording but “bomb” it anyway. 😠
@@Slithey7433 The video would lack the charm it has if the dancers had chosen not to dance.
@@RickKhamsi
The dancers are exhibitionists intruding upon the performance.
Eight of the nine; Tuba Skinny here is"
Craig Flory - clarinet
Shaye Cohn - cornet (& 'traffic director')
Banabus Jones - Trombone (w/ spiffy new hat)
Erika Lewis - vocals & drum
Jason Lawrence - banjo
Greg Sherman - guitar & vocals
Todd Burdick - tuba (sousaphone) ('Mr Tuba Skinny')
Robin Rapuzzi - washboard
* Max Bein-Kahn, resonator guitar is not present.
Bob Throne ?? C’est Greg qui est absent !!!
Max est bien là....
@@lioneldarde1851 Oops ! Thanks for catching that .. it's corrected.
Some mornings I need more coffee ....
.... 8 of the 10 present .... don't forget 'tupelo' .... the concert master/ band leader .... 😎
Please what is the name of the first tune and who is it by? 'I'm Blue and Lonesome' who wrote it, please. Both are excellent.

Air +40°
I almost got fooled... that was dude at 14:04
Me thinks he was showing off
Toss some money in the kitty; the washboard player can't afford shoes!
This music is so beautiful, so mesmerizing. The video would lack much of its charm if the dancers had chosen not to dance.
