mam two phase method is only applicable for minimization prblm ,if it is max then we convert into minimization by multiplying - ve to objective function
at cj-zj why consider the most positive instead of the most negative to determine which is the key column .again why not take x1 and s1 becouse that is where the key value lies as the BV in the second litalation
she just turned the problem from a minimisation to maximisation min(A) = Max(-A) . but she put it back in the end . you can keep a + sign but in that case you're gonna have to work a minimization wich mean follow the c-zj values with most negative values . until you get them all positive and then stop .

Why have u taken positive value in the second phase when negative value is avl in the ratio..
Least positive value has to be taken in the ratio,,u can exclude any negative value that comes in ratio
