I bought a pair of the Sitka delta zip waders for the 18-19 season. I bought em after working a whole summer doing private contracting and interning. I will say they are with out a doubt the best ones I’ve ever worn. I went through a few pairs of waders prior to me buying these and what I like about the waders are they are lightweight, comfortable, durable, and had zero issues. I hunted with them in Idaho, southern Oregon, all across Northern California etc.. in different hunting weather conditions and they held up so well to what I threw at them. I can’t wait to use em for the next few seasons before sending them back in. I think they were worth it. I work hard for my money and I want the best gear money can buy. Glad you like em! I absolutely agree about wader quality going down. I bought the low end Cabelas brand in 2003 and had to replace them 2011. Since then I’ve been replacing waders every 2-3 seasons. Good luck with these!

My cousin bought Sitka Delta Waders and he loves them, I would buy a pair but I’m only 12 and would grow out of them in 2 years.
Wow u must have the most understanding wife. First the trips to other states to hunt waterfowl now the waders, wow I'm envious. My best waders have been the cabelas super mag around 230 they lasted me 8 seasons till i had to buy a new pair last year. I wouldn't trust the airlines with those carry those on for sure.

What's your height and weight? I wear a size XL in base layers and Gradient Pants (I'm 6' 240lb), I do wear XXL in their sweatshirts and jackets... Would you say the XL will have enough room for layering or do I need an XXL. Sitka support recommended XL, just waiting for them to come in stock again!

I have had some Macks PW waders for years (mossy oak duck blind if that tells you about how old they are) and this last year the just started to leak in the knees. Wanted to get the Rodgers 3-1 so I can use them just about anywhere.
Seems like waders were better made longer ago
I only hope they honor their warranty like cabelas used to honor theirs.

I’m pretty sure XLT would be your size. I’m in an XL at 5’10” 220 lbs. my bro is 6’2” and has the xl but he says could definitely use xlt for more room in the crotch

I buy a cheap pair of breathables and then a bigger size of Dan's briar bibs to put them over...I can wade and rabbit hunt at the same time🤣

The belt is more of a safety thing than anything. Especially if you're hunting rivers. It helps air stay trapped in the waders and provides buoyancy while also slowing the influx of water if you fall in. I'd leave the belt on, but that's just me.
Ya I agree that it creates air in the bottom half which helps you float but I’ve tested breathables in the water with no belt and you still float. Might have test it both ways just for the fun of it

I’ve never kicked down for Sitka waders, but I’ve burned through EVERY other recognizable brand. I’m currently sold on breathable Frogg Toggs. Three seasons in with a Grand Refuge series pair. Fair price, no failures yet, comfortable boots.
I’ll have to check the Grand Refuge series out. Thomas bought their neoprenes last year and they didn’t last the full 1st season and were leaking like a sieve.
Mid Valley Mercenaries Aw, that sucks! I hope I didn’t give bad advice to your viewers. I’m personally never gonna buy neoprene again. I hope that was the reason Thomas’s failed vs a bad brand overall. 🤷🏻♂️
Loved the grand refuge for the first season. Last weekend left boot had catastrophic failures. Big long cracks in the rubber on the top of the boot. I’m guessing from kneeling and the boot bending. I checked, and the right boot has the same cracks just haven’t bled through yet. Waders need stiffer boot soles to prevent the bend if the rubber can’t hold up to the stress of it. Stuff like a mountaineering boot.
Maybe even a metal shank in the sole. Thanks for the video post, glad to finally see one that isn’t just another promo video from a sporting goods store just reading off the features.
Looking forward to a prod&cons review soon. Was hoping you’d flex the shoe a little in this video, as that is where my last two pairs of waders failed. Those boots look interesting, and I’m curious how they perform.

Congrats on the new waders! Keep the wader belt on though because that's the only thing that'll keep you from sinking with breathable waders
I’ve tested breathables and believe it or not the belt doesn’t make a difference
I bought mine at this time last year. They’re cool. Honestly I could live with or without them. They’re a tad bit cold when the weather really bottoms out and I have to layer the crap out of them but they’re nice when it’s hot and in early season honestly. I think you’ll like em
I also bought an 11 and had to send them back and get a smaller size 😂
