- Sierra Leone (aka Galatea or Alberta) brings the Cumbrian Mountain Express into Carlisle from London.
Having arrived quite early in the morning, I went off to film one or two less-well-known spots around the station.
That secret entrance looks like it could lead to all sorts of magical adventures. It's even got a magic door!
It actually leads to a rather smelly passage!!!
Hi from a West Yorkshire train spotter & enthusiast, I was at Pontefract (Baghill Station) Saturday 11th September 11 to 12.15, came thro Station whistle blowing, on way to York, (GREAT), love the video guys👍👍👍
Thanks Mike - good to hear from you - happy spotting!
God bless Sir William Stanier! You’ve done it again Tim, another busy mix at the Citadel with lots of angles and interest. Always the old red sandstone creeping into shot. Thanks for another pleasurable interlude,
Regards, Darren.
Thanks Darren - would you believe - I genuinely didn't know there was an entrance to Citadel station on the western side? True!!! Best wishes - Tim
Thank you for posting. Nicely filmed. Tour report on Six Bells Junction website soon.
Thanks Nick.
Very interesting and "different" video of Carlisle and the double identity Jubilee. Thanks from Ken!
Thanks Ken - I do try, where possible, to add that little extra touch - glad that it's appreciated. Best wishes.

No matter how old we are - life still has surprises in store! Cheers.
Nice one I was also at Carlisle today

Nice video tim enjoyed it very much.
Thank you.
@@schoolshorts Thanks Tim and Thank you very much for replying to my comment. I would love if you could take a quick look at my page and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
What a lovely video. I really appreciated your artistic shots. When my creation finally finishes rendering (I made a mistake right at the outset and there is four times more processing taking place than is warranted) and I am able to upload it, you will appreciate that your encouraging influence has come to bear.
I shall look forward to seeing it - best wishes - Tim
Why on earth has someone given it a thumbs down?! What's not to like about a Jubilee?
The last time I saw one at Carlisle was in 1960!
Very nice video! 👍👍📹🚂🚃🚃🚃
Thanks OT - glad you enjoyed it.
Where is the pie shop ?
Take the station lift and the rear entrance, then turn left for 70 or 80 yards. It's more a factory than a shop (piedemand.co.uk) but is open to the public on four days each week.
I directed some friends there today - and they were more than happy with the results!
