Beautiful. The muted colors made it that even « busy » spreads were calm and appeasing. Loved the 6 months calendar with the dutch door. Will be copying that one!
I loved the paint journal for a change but my heart lies in your scrapbooking way of journaling! All of your themes always look beautiful but the scrapbooking way is much more inspirational for me because it gives me new ideas and I don’t want to ruin my STM journal with paint!
This is exactly what I was looking for. This is my style of BUJO but I was having a hard time thinking of decor and dashboards. I appreciate the detailed video. ❤
Omg I’ve missed the scrapbooking themes so much, so happy there back I found my happiness and motivation with journaling when I started this collage style. I love you so much.
Erin, you’ve done it again. You’ve amazed me with your creativity and way of making simple look extravagant! I love this so much! The theme is so gorgeous too! 💜
I've recently used the first stiff pages of my notebook to glue in a wishlist of seasonal activities. My books tend to last for a season so I have seasonal activies like "blowing bubbles" or build a "sand castle." They are activies that are low stakes and fun, so if I don't get to them its no big deal. If I do, I put a check mark or write the date next to it. Its also a very pretty seasonal collage that's fun to look at when I open my book.
I absolutely love mixing silver and gold, especially in my jewellery. There’s something so edgy about mixing metals but still being able to keep it very soft and delicate.
I've been working my way through your back catalogue of videos because I love your style, especially the collage spreads, and even more so the fantasy inspired themes. This one is beautiful though, especially the muted colour scheme, and I love the dots you used on the first page, I'm so going to use that idea! I'm also not sure if I should thank you, or curse you, for introducing me to London Gifties. Kristine's washi/PET tapes are gorgeous, and there are so many I want, particularly the window themed ones; I'm obsessed!! I'm having to buy a couple every month to make it affordable, but at least being UK based postage isn't crazy!😂
Do you happen to have a link to the journal that you moved your ‘cash flow tracker’ too? Im looking for a smaller journal to contain my August-December spreads and feel like that could be perfect!! Thank you!!
Mine was from a subscription box, so sadly Archer & Olive don’t sell that one specifically anymore, but it’s a ‘travellers notebook’ or ‘TN’ size which should help you on your hunt! They have some in different styles, so I’ll link you to the A&O ones but some other brands also make them, I think! If you prefer the ratio of an A5 journal, Notebook Therapy also make an ‘original size’ Tsuki journal that is a bit smaller than A5 too, but not as narrow as the TN journals. www.archerandolive.com/en-au/collections/notebooks?filter.v.price.gte=&filter.v.price.lte=&filter.v.m.custom.notebook_size=TN+%284.33x8.25%29&sort_by=created-descending
It’s so exciting to set up a new journal! I love it and I love the idea of printing text with the transparent thermal paper! I have it and never use it for that so I appreciate this idea!
As I started my first journal in September for the start of school my journal still tend to start around then even though I’m no longer in school so I find these mid year set up cos they give me inspiration at the time I’m actually looking for it. I actually am planning to start setting my new journal up currently even though I won’t finish my current one for a few months cos it tends to take me a long time and I know I will be very busy during the month I think my journal will need to swap.
I made a custom sized canvas in Canva to match the measurements of my printer paper, added the design then saved it to my phone as an image. From there I just used the Phomemo app to print it out as a photo 🥰
This is beautiful! I like the idea of the financial notebook! I’ve seen how you set up your trackers for it but how do you set it up in the travelers notebook?
Pretty much the same as my usual spending log! I haven’t done any yearly tracker type stuff in it yet because I’m still using the annual ones in the beginning of my Jan-Jun bujo but it will likely be very similar to that too 🤣
Erin, your videos are very informative to a new journal enthusiast. I absolutely love your sense of style and the easy looks of your layouts. I was interested in getting the phomemo and almost bought one a few weeks ago, however i opted to get an inkjet printer instead. I'm still quite interested in purchasing a phomemo but not sure how to do what you did with canva on it if i were to get one. In your opinion, since I already have a printer, should i stick to what i have and get clear sticker paper or should I invest in getting the phomemo m02 pro? I'm working with a tight budget and if I'm able to do what you're currently doing the phomemo on my inkjet, that would save me some money. Just curious. Thank you so much for the videos and the constant insight on journaling.
That’s such a good question! My advice would be to stick with your inkjet printer. The Phomemos are cool, but any thermal-printed media will fade over time. Your inkjet prints will last much longer! I’ve never looked into clear sticker paper but I’m sure it exists - you might just need to let your ink dry for a while before you cut things out to go in your journal!
@@ErinSmith Thank you for such a quick response. I'm so glad you got back to me about the thermal. You just saved me money and the worry about what I should do. I downloaded Canva earlier today and started messing with some of the templates. It will take some time to get used to the app since this is my first time ever trying to do anything of this nature. If you have any tips or suggestions regarding the app, I'm open to it. I'm still trying to figure out how and where you were able to get the calendar templates on there to put in my journal. I'm also wondering if you may be able to make a video, or already have one, of different types of layouts for the habit trackers. Again, thank you so very much. Between you and Jess Corrin, I'm sure my monthly layouts will continue to get better and better. Happy Journaling!
Canva has some calendar templates built-in - I think I just chose its boldest version, changed all the colours to black (which is a thermal printer limitation - no colour!) and used white rectangles to cover any parts I didn’t need 🤣 it was a while ago, I don’t totally remember! There are some excellent Canva resources already out there, I’m not sure my knowledge is comprehensive enough for a video - to be honest I mostly use it for making my video thumbnails! 😅
Hi Erin. Love your videos and I have been experimenting with stamping but have found it very messy. Is there a good ink to use with stamps that doesn't smudge easily? What do you use? Not giving up yet!
Hi Angela! I’ve had similar experiences with stamp ink so more often than not, I just use paint markers or juicy water based pens instead. As long as your stamp isn’t so big that the paint marker/pen ink dries on it before you’re finished scribbling on the stamp surface, you should get pretty good results! No more inky fingers 😉
@@ErinSmith aw so sad 😞 I still love the Washi tape shop and their new stuff is beautiful, but it’s just not the same… I don’t know how to describe it. There was a certain “essence” that their tape designs from a few years ago had that was absolutely breathtaking!
For anyone who wants to use book pages for journaling but the scrapbook paper is too expensive or inaccessible, buy a cheap $0.50 or $1 old textbooks from the thrift store. I use an economics textbook from 2001 that I spent $0.25 on.

I'm really enjoying the muted colours too ❤ I'd love to see your Dutch door calendar too!

Omg I’ve missed the scrapbooking themes so much, so happy there back I found my happiness and motivation with journaling when I started this collage style. I love you so much.
That was part of why I did the Mystery/Giveaway journal, so there would still be a collage video every month! 🥰
@@ErinSmith true not the same as your own journal though, so happy there back 🥰
The clear Phomemo stickers was really cool. Reminded me I have some I haven’t used yet 😂
I love the stickers that you use here because they are transparent kinda! ❤❤❤ as usual Erin beautiful!
👩🍳💋
My puppy was enthralled by all the lines you drew with the grey, he would stop whatever he was doing to watch :)
Aww I’m glad he liked it! It’s so funny to see what grabs their attention, my cat loves Pilates instructional videos! 🤣
@ErinSmith what a sweet kitty ♡ if only my cats enjoyed anything enough to keep them from eating my pens while I write! I'm jealous of your trick :)
What a way to end my lunch break!!!!

Oooh video at Tuesday. And yes I am def grabbing my journal as we speak
I absolutely love mixing silver and gold, especially in my jewellery. There’s something so edgy about mixing metals but still being able to keep it very soft and delicate.
I like how they came together on the page! I love seeing it on other people too - I don't quite have the knack to pull it off myself though!
