you are so underrated, I just found you from the abusive behavior in kdramas video, and in context to this vid, yes I think Asians as a whole think that hardships are the way to succeed, which is not always necessary.

Thank you for this video, it was super interesting! I'm from the UK but I had a maths teacher who came from China and I remember one day he told us that he had thrown up earlier in the day and refused to go home. We were all so shocked because of course he should go home! But he must have been influenced by the perseverance of chi ku culture. Thank you for teaching me about this!

Thanks for bringing up how the whole model minority problem harms Asian-americans as well as how it puts them against other minorities (especially black people) and how it's just white supremacy trying to separate people

I don't think traditionally that was happening that frequent. Instead, what I had understand that, the phenomenom most likely happened in strong and intense modernization nations like Japan, China and Korean, where the modernization was too intense that people had to keep with these changes and there were no other rooms for the whole nations, until individually to pursue the success of the country. I think that, what is most probably driven them was the success of themselves equal to success of the nation.

@@yuanProduction I always wonder how it was for my ancestors as I believe some of my ancestors were indentured Chinese labourers, and likely mixed with my black ancestors in the Caribbean.
I wonder if their families cared less, or if they cut them off :(
