    I don't think one of the right team member truly understand about😢 open discussion. He just highlighted that in future he would search more references to support his ideas... I thought the right side reminded him about the balances of ideas is to explore more different views of researchers? As a psychology graduate, I remember how important of the learning is through understanding of all research point of views and data, not just finding those research that 'support' your own angle. 😅

    Sebenarnya quota ni bkn utk semua bmpt tp pd satu bangsa saja. Quota ni bkn pelindungan selamnya tp apa penyelesaian pd masa hadapan.

    Quota of 50/50 for bumis and non bumis. Within the quota comes meritocracy. So, there is a blend of quota n meritocracy. We need to select quality people to prosper n develop the country.

    However Bumiputra percentage is higher, so the so called poor percentage also higher, this just a simple math.
    And the Dr VS Petani comparison is not a fair comparison. Is all non malay born to be Dr or professional? No. Should use a hawker stall char kue tiao owner VS warong stall nasi lemak owner.
    My uncle is an Dr, my grandpa not rich but he did his best to get my uncle to Uni and be a Dr. He not born to be a Dr. The book for me is just purely hate and dont like to the people who success.
    Equality is the key. But back to the quota. If today chinese/indian is the majority of the country, maybe (maybe) the same system will still exist. This is just my good guess.

    Additionally, nobody could point out the root issues... What causes the low competitiveness nature , what can we do to improve the low study motivation for weaker students, rather than provide the system to protect ? This is the hardest part problem to tackle. 😅

    • @rabinraj15
      @rabinraj15 2 місяці тому

      I think the root cause is very obvious, but there isn't any political will to acknowledge it & to reform it... The political leaders would rather maintain the status quo... Eventhough it has severe negative impact which is visible, they refuse to do the right thing... They'll blame everything else except the real issue...
      The biggest loosers of the current system are the Bumiputeras & they will not realise this fact until some crisis takes place...

    First of all, is this debate or discussion forum? Secondly, the host shouldn't guide the discussion to zero sum games.
    my humble opinion.
    1) is the Bumiputra quota needed in education, the answer is yes, if we agree that quota needed for others imbalance, why not race. (The issue is there shouldn't be a quota based that dominance the majority resources that leave very little for others) second, i agree that no matters how u see it, we need bumiputra which is 70% population to be up for economy and growth.
    2) Is the bumiputra quota percentage now dominate most of the resources and leave very little for others imbalance in terms of poor, gender, geo - Yes... what is the percentage then? this is good discussion point, how we look at the statistic from different angle and reach consensus.
    3) We are want the end games that we all feel secure and based on merit that we have same starting point.. discussion on zero sum games approach won't do it. How do we reach that without neglect anyone or not addressing any others imbalance.
    More fruitful discussion, don't u think, host?

    • @puvenroshan6331
      @puvenroshan6331 3 місяці тому

      The 3 guys on the left are saying after 64 yrs of independence we should abolish quota system for education. Government can keep special right for the Malays for other matter e.g PNB or housing or gomen jobs. But education is a basic. The 3 clowns on the right have no argument except talking about national identity which is irrelevant to the discussion and they couldn’t even answer questions clearly while kept giving their own representation of the constitution. And what does religion got to do with education ? LOL. And talking about article 153 non stop because the tongkat belacan race know they’re dead if higher education is fairly opened to all Malaysians. They can’t argue with facts or sense cause they’re that stupid and insecure.

  • @cutepenguin1981
    @cutepenguin1981 3 місяці тому

    I strongly agreed on the building the society and education systems based on the inequality of various aspects, should be beyond the racial system. 😅 secondly, if the so called students are not good enough in education and wants to push them up into universities, why establish a matriculation of one year, instead of 2.5 years to 3 years? Just like Singapore, if your results are good enough, you can sit for o level exam after 4 years, else you study 5 years to do o level. Malaysia should just take Singapore o level system as reference. Instead, allowing weaker students to get into public universities after one year, which causes the so called downgrade of the universities as the matriculation students are not competent enough for direct entry after one year study. 😅😅

    25:39 Does that mean the real equality is the percentage of professionals in Bumi putera, Chinese and India equal to the percentage of ethnic distribution in Malaysia? If it is what you are striving for, what if the percentage of professionals in Bumi Putera is 1 % more? Does that mean Bumi Putera now has an advantage gap over other ethnic? When this gap is small enough, would the education quota be ended? Would the minority be able to speak out? In fact, no one cares for the minority, unless you have a politician representation in the dewan negara/negeri. The majority may think it is the minority's fault for not reproducing more and increasing the population in Malaysia. In fact, unfair policies like education quotas force minorities to have a pessimistic view of the government and Malaysia's future. We felt isolated, discriminated and even worse second-class citizens in Malaysia. This is similar to Japan's scenario where old politicians hold the power in parliament and create policies that benefit only senior citizen communities. In other words, the young bloods should be taxed heavily to support the old people community. it is a fair, right? For the senior citizens definitely (even though they are richer). When a ladder is given to a weak person for a long time, taking away it when the person is strong will make him angry and most ironically he would feel discriminated and unfair. We support this because this policy benefits all of us, not only us, the selected one ethnicity. Then we tend to blame the vernacular school for separating people, but the unfair policy separates people more by implying their second-class Malaysian identities repeatedly. Sometimes the policy only benefits rich first-class Malaysians who own politician power over generations, not the needed first-class Malaysians. PS: Beneficial to selected/protected ethnic or first-class Malaysians = Unfair to other ethnic.

    If disable quota system, all students can get a place to study in IPTA or matrix by their study result. It's fair to everyone. Therefore bmpt and non-bmpt will try improve themselves to get a place to study in IPTA. By this, lecture uni will get more chances improve the subject title contain
    Matrix/stpm this 2 ways can educate qualified students.
    Qualified in study result or qualified in moral value or qualified in both? So how to evaluate students qualified or not?
    Yes i agreed that STPM is harder than Matrix in education. But also can't stated that Matrix students don't get hard in study..
    You may saw in news or heard before, race non-bmpt student which he/she got the xA(more than 4) in SPM also can't continue further study in Matrix..
    Also for this non-bmpt who STPM result 4.0 can't study in IPTA with his/her first or 2nd choices course
    its' all caused quota system
    (Above just my opinion)
