This does not work for me at all... won't accept the copy.
Just a warning to those who are just starting and looking at this. With the bare minimum skills you will not be able to out dps the Skybreaker Disparu Troop's shield regen. You will have to get 120 or more to out dps his shield regen. So you might want to do a bit more skilling into missles than the bare minimum to get into this fit before taking the full plunge.
That mob gives lots of people problems, and you are right. With proper skills you will get it!!
AceFace talked about this. When i run the t0 exotics i run inferno missiles specifically for him. Around 112 - 114 dps with infernos can kill. It's a scary room for sure.

After playing for about a week or so, I think you should probably go for the Kestrel instead of the Corax if you're doing T0 Abyss runs. You get about 2x more loot, and the price range (at least in my region of space) is about the same. A Kestral can be fitted out about the same as the Corax here, Arbalest launchers, Ballistic Controls, 5mn MWD, same rigs, etc. It's almost identical. It's survivability is just as good if not better (you're a much smaller target so missiles do far less damage and turrets are even less likely to hit you cuz you're goin 2x as fast) and you even have better cap longevity (~40 seconds in Corax vs ~60 seconds in Kestral), and your cap goes a lot longer because you're so much less likely to be taking serious damage cuz of your small size n speed. Your DPS is about 2/3rds, but that doesn't matter cuz you're just beating up T0 and avoiding almost all the damage you'd sustain as a destroyer so there's no need to 'rest' before activating conduits, on top of gaining 2x more loot.
I do love my Corax, which is entirely based off the fit from this vid, and it's probably better for combat sites and Epic Arcs since they (in my experience) typically have assloads of weak frigates to mow down and a couple missions which require a certain DPS to beat, which having 7 launchers is definitely better for. But just from my experience I think a Kestrel with the same skills as this Corax would be superior for doing T0s. Yeah you need 3 filaments instead of 2, but you get assloads more loot. Not just survey data, but also Isogen and Zero-Point Condensates. The difference is about 1mil ISK per run VS upwards of 3-5mil ISK. I get over 1mil ISK per cache in my Kestrel.
For further reference, I prefer Tranquil Electrical. You can use Mjolnirs this way for a solid increase in DPS, and the only thing AFAIK that does EM damage are the tiny Tessella frigates, which you can completely dodge cuz you're goin so fast. Nothing in T0 has decent EM resist, and their resist is even worse with Electrical Filaments. I use a thermal resist shield rig as opposed to an EM resist rig. A lot of enemies in T0 deal kinetic and explosive, but some do thermal. Not that it really matters much. You're so small and fast nothing in T0 can really hurt you.
Mr. Loru, I'd HIGHLY recommend a Kestrel T0 build vid.

Thank you for this. I'm 2 months in, completed Sisters story arc and most about half the Air program so have a basic grasp now. Done a few gas huffing sessions which was scary, haven't worked out D Scan yet, nearly lost my Venture on the last gas session, but that's another story. Trying abyss for the first time, something new to add to my list of things to do. FINALLY. A PROPER guide on what ships/weapons are good for abyss. I got filaments in my item hanger that I’ve been dying to use for days! I’m semi-new to Eve and I find it hard to see what combat sites/relic sites and other combat activities are “too hard for me” since there isn’t really defined difficulty “zones” or anything 😂

Just did my first run with this guide on my first day back after not playing for close to a decade. Coincidentally I happened to have a Corax from an alt that I transferred to my main and was planning on using, which was how I found this guide. I didn't know anything about the abyss until I watched this. It was pretty scary cuz of the time limit and my first enemy was a cruiser who took a while to kill, and I was running low on cap. I actually bought and injected some skills and dumped a buncha skill points into them while fighting the bastard to improve my cap recharge lol. I think I got out with 5 minutes to spare, though. I made about a million ISK, which seems like a lot to me imo
I am a little confused though because I ended up with literally like 0.1 less power than I needed to run this fit, so I ended up burning 200k skill points from the referral bonus on level 5 power grid, but whatever. I figure maybe there was a balance patch that slightly changed the power requirements of some of the equipment.
LOL, been playing since 2010 fought in every Null Sec War up through WW Bee, use to be an instructor for Eve Uni my first 3 years in game and have taken a very long break and just came back and got BLOWED up on my first try at this Dark Abyss : P

Tried that ship and fit today. Was not able to online the cap regen. Maybe I need more skill. Went into 2 Dark Abyss Portals. Worked well. Then I tried exotic and died to the second room. But I will be back. I really like how a missile ship feels.

How do you beat a Skybreaker Disparu Troop, it heals like 1% less hp then the total dmg from inferno which works best against it, any tips for next time?

Hi Loru - I fitted this build and it says I am 0.2 over my power grid management. I have power grid at level 4. I'm not sure why I'm barely over. Am I just going to have to get the skill to level 5?
great question, it is 100% a skills issue.
check the various skills that help all your modules; start with: powergrid management, launcher rigging, shield upgrades
getting those up will get you where you need to go! in the meantime you can always use a lesser variation of the items in the fit.

Noit sure what I'm doing wrong, but I couldnt even kill the first mob, he would heal his shields faster then I could take them down. I copied the fit exactly.
Be sure you are in Calm abyss types, and that you are using the correct Abyss filament (gamma v dark, etc) as well! Dont get discouraged and keep practicing :D
Happened to me. Switch missile to caldari navi light missiles, the increase in dps is enough. the disparu troop also got me in my first attempt so i swpped missile and now all good

I wonder how that works, since you can't use filaments solo with Destroyers, I wonder how you use a FIlament with the Corax. As far as I can tell, even 4 years back you could only do 1 Cruiser or 2 Destroyers or 3 Frigates
you just fleet with yourself and use 2 filaments. you don't need 2 destroyers, 1 works.

The skybraker npc just tanks all my damage and heals as quick as I'm dealing damage.. Even with the correct damage type applied.. Is there a change or something made to t0 abyss after your video?.. Is it necessary to level up light missile skills to a certain level?
a great question. it is 100% a skills and how you fly issue.
play with effective range, speed, and keep training your skills up for more dps!
Check your ship info tab as well to look what mastery you have. I try not push my skills with any ship until Mastery lvl 2 is cleared. once you clear mastery lvl 3, It's when you really see your ship shine. Happy Flying!

short answer is: prolly not
This fit is a nice start. When U master skills, just change all the stuff to the tear 2 or even fraction versions. Corax T2 (partially fraction modules such as shield booster / extension etc) will have 215 DPS alpha skill, cost U about 35-40 mil isk and be ready for T1 surely.

13:35 Thats not entierly true and it can cause some major problems if ppl missunderstood what he just said and for new ppl i can se that happening easy with how fast hes talking. It is true that around the 25-30% mark your capacitor regen is at the highest its gonna get. However i dont recommend ppl to try and keep the capacitor at that number if it can be avoided especially not new ppl becouse once u go below 30% the capacitor regen slows down again. So once u go below that point and the regen slows down u may never get back above 30% and the lower the capacitor gets below that point the worse the regen gets and eventually your at 0% with an extremely bad regen rate.

Hello, nice fits and strats, but i have noticed that you made all the day one alpha builds on your account and most of the fits have powergrid issues or CPU overloaded and the DPS is way lower. Can you please make one or two videos (corax and thrasher ships) where you use a new alpha account with some gameplay on it? Like have one or 2 days of skill training and list those skills too.
