  • This is a tutorial on how I bling my Starbucks Cups with and without a painted background and also with and without sanding the cup.
    I use 2 different glues in this tutorial, e6000 for the non sanded cup and liquid fusion for the sanded cup.
    I also included a tip for when you use your wax tool to pick up rhinestones. Sometimes the tools don't pick up the rhinestones and I give a tip on how to fix that.
    Here is the link for the video on how to sand your cup using a rotary tool:

    What is the tool you use for the rhinestones ?

      Hello!! My apologies for the late response. The tool is a rhinestone wax pick up tool. I just listed a link in the description of this video and it will take you right to the tool.
      I also listed the link below but wasn't sure if it would take you there. Hope this helps! 🥰

      Thanks so much! No I don't mind you asking! They are 5mm resin rhinestones. I have them available in my Etsy Shop. The link is in the description if you are interested in giving them a try. 🥰

    Love it! Getting ready to do my first Starbucks cup for my daughter. Wondering how long will they last on the plastic cup. Does the plastic firm up so the stones don’t pop off if someone squeezes the cup?

      That's so exciting!! I remember blinging my first starbucks cup!! I still have it! It's all about how you prep the cup.
      If you use an adhesive like liquid fusion or fusion tack without properly sanding and cleaning your cup first then yes, it can crack and the stones will fall off.
      However if you don't want to sand the cup, you can use e6000 glue for a firmer hold (toxic smell though) but if you sand the cup and use e6000 it will last you some years!!
      (Sorry for such a long answer) lol

    I am a beginner, I have just bought my stuff to start doing this I love yours! So you would recommend me to go line by line down the cup? X

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy
      @jeweledbyjazdiy  Рік тому +1

      Hi Ellie! That's awesome!! Yes, you can go line by line from top down and start a circle the closer you get to the logo or you can start with the logo and bling about 3 or 4 circular rows and then go to the top and start blinging line by line from top to bottom. Happy Blinging 💎🥰

    • @elliegray1849
      @elliegray1849 Рік тому

      What do you think would be easier for first timer? Completely going around the cup In Rows or starting with the circle and going up a few rows then starting for the stop? It’s going around the circle and then starting from the top that scares me just incase it doesn’t the rhinestones don’t match up x

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy
      @jeweledbyjazdiy  Рік тому

      @@elliegray1849 When I first started blinging I tried it by doing one circle and then going to the top and working my way down and then I tried just going from the top and just get to the circle when I get there. Doing a few rows of circles and then going to the top was the easiest for me. I know the circle can be a bit intimidating but just take your time when connecting the straight lines to the circles and don't be afraid to use those smaller 3mm sizes. The 3mm rhinestones are what help to make the connection between the lines around the logo and the straight lines look clean and uniformed with minimal gaps.

    Your cups r beautiful ! When u wash your cup do the paint that u put on the cup with the brush in the begining, will it come off ? 💜

      Thank you! No, the paint doesn't come off. It gets sealed by the glue that's used while blinging the cup.

    Hey girl in your experience which glue would be better for a thermos/ thermal cup .i want to make a gift for someone and i want it it to be good quality glue sp the rhimestones dont fall off when washing. Also do you use resin or glass rhimestones?

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy
      @jeweledbyjazdiy  Рік тому

      Heyyyy!! Sorry I'm late 😔 but for long lasting results, I recommend e6000 but make sure you're in a well ventilated space and use a face mask. The fumes can be a bit much. Also, make sure you sand your cup with sand paper first and then wash and dry it. (With stainless steel surfaces you don't always have to sand, especially when using e6000 but always make sure to either wash and dry first or rub it down with rubbing alcohol & let dry before blinging.)
      For the rhinestones, I like both however the glass rhinestones sparkle a lot more than the resin but they are also more fragile since it's glass. If you drop a cup made with resin rhinestones it's less likely to have breaks or cracks but if you accidentally drop the glass stones they could crack and break.
      Resin is beautiful but the sparkle of the glass is on another level! 💎💎💎
      Hope this helps 🥰❤

    Do you also sand and clean the cap to use liquid fusion or do you just clean it and use the E600?
    I want to rhinestone the cap but wasn’t sure if it’s the same process or different

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy
      @jeweledbyjazdiy  Рік тому +1

      Hi Lyndsay! So I have done them both ways but if I was ever in a rush I just cleaned the lid and used e6000. For the times that I used liquid fusion on the lid I have always used a rotary tool to sand with because of how smooth the lid is and those textured edges on the lid. Then I cleaned & dried and the liquid fusion was perfect!
      If you don't sand the lid and use liquid fusion it will definitely stick, but not for long. The whole thing will just peel off.

    Hi Jaz, thanks for the video. Do you seal the paint after you paint it? If you don't does the paint wash off when it's cleaned?

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy
      @jeweledbyjazdiy  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Penny! I don't usually seal the paint afterwards. The glue I use seals the paint underneath the rhinestones but any extra paint that is left behind does get washed off.

    After you glue the rhinestones you wash them with soap???

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy
      @jeweledbyjazdiy  Рік тому

      After gluing the rhinestones you should allow the cup to cure for at least 48 hours. After that, yes, you can hand wash with soap, water and a sponge. Dry immediately after washing.

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy

      Hello! In this video I used e6000. I use e6000 only when I don't feel like sanding my cups. If I sand them then I use liquid fusion because it has a much less toxic smell but adheres at its best only when the cups have been sanded. 🥰

    About how many rhinestones do you use

    • @jeweledbyjazdiy

      About 3000 to 5000. Majority are 5mm and I use some 3mm when needed for small spaces, gaps or if I'm blinging a name.
