Actually I have coworkers with good insurance that also go this route because of the cheap compounded semaglutide. If you don't have diabetes some insurance companies won't cover ozempic or Wegovy so going to a place that can get you Semaglutide is the cheapest way to go.
Compound semaglutide is reasonably priced if you go to an obesity telehealth provider like Join Fridays, Join Mochi, IVIM, etc - typically less than $200 a month. You are paying a pretty penny because you are being duped by a local med spa which usually charge double.
If she's on straight up Ozempic without insurance that is over $900 a month. She would be better off getting the Semaglutide. But with her history of gallbladder problems it's probably best she makes sure to get regular blood work. I just started Ozempic and am already down 20 lbs. What you're going to do is lose your appetite taking this medication, and force feed yourself extremely high calorie foods, because you talked yourself into needing to eat when you don't want to. A person with a true eating disorder would have shame associated with it. Eating so other people can watch you do it shows no sense of shame. There's no point in filming yourself crying about your health if it's clear you don't mean it. Most of us have seen it too often to believe it anymore.
I just had blood work done at a lab and EVERY time I do, the first thing I do is remove my Band-Aid and shower, profusely, then fresh clothes. Those places are filthy, even if they look clean.
