From your decoration, your dog's, your thoughts, your humor, your greenhouse, your travels, your best girlfriend, your advice for what and where to buy things, your kind husband. Ali’s hair tutorial was so helpful for me. My little boy is 11 and has such thick waves so we followed Ali’s tutorial and he was so happy with his hair, so please thank him from myself and Noah. Honestly people are unkind for fun these days and it sickens me.
Lydia: I am in my mid 60's and have learned a lot. Value timeless elegance. You will never go wrong. You and Ali are amazing. Always choose kindness. I am amazed all you have both created. I have had an emotional day for several reasons. With that being said, I will probably make you, Lydia, and everyone here, feel a bit nauseous. You hit several really great points. Food for thought and some things to think about. I've been subbed FOREVER. I have watched your channel grow but most of all, I have watched YOU grow. It has been a pleasure and a journey for all of those who have followed you over the years. There is so much freaking content now...we consume so much STUFF!!!!!! It comes at us 24/7 and frankly, makes everyone half nuts. I have been feeling half nuts! I was catching up on some of your gardening - related vlogs the other day. Feeling just...out of sorts. Do I have the money to create a beautiful garden and build a magnificent greenhouse? No. But I got up off my couch, got myself together, went to the local garden store with my dog in tow, and bought seeds. I came home, planted those little seeds into stupid little old pots that I have from years ago. Labeled them, and have been checking on them every day. We have had a few nice days here in Southern France where I live. Guess what I saw today? SPROOOOTS!!!! I was so elated. I remember you had said something about how gardening has helped with your mental health. Keeping you strong and healthy and busy. I realized no one needs a lot of money to grow a simple plant, a beautiful flower, or their first vegetables (which is what I planted). What I am trying to say is, people that watch you (and perhaps envy you), think they can't relate to you because they don't have enough money to buy exactly what you buy. For those people, like myself, I say, start where you are with what you have and just do SOMETHING. Getting my hands filthy in that dirt and making a mess, but feeling a sense of achievement in however small of a form as my sproots, made me feel grounded again. Just know, to some of us (more than you think), your content is informative, uplifting, beautiful, sensible, funny, and in fact RICH with ideas about life, fashion, baking, gardening, shopping, love, friendship, dreams and aspirations. You inspire people. Do you know how little there is of that left in this mad, mad world? Not much. Keep going, girl. You are one of the good ones and we should all try to live our lives with more kindness and grace. You can never have too much of either of those things. XOXO

Was about to write something like this but you’ve expressed my feelings exactly. I don’t go to museums, look at masterpieces and think, “oh, I’ll never paint like that, it’s unachievable!” and storm out. No, I take inspiration and ideas. Personally, I am not turned on by luxury things. Not my bag. Have no desire to own them, or to part with the money. That doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy how much Lydia enjoys them. I think you’re right. We’re being overwhelmed with content everywhere we turn and if some people are not disciplined about curating their online world, they are perhaps driven potty and resort to anger and bitterness and spite. Sorry state of affairs. Meanwhile, I shall carry on tuning in to watch Lydia; someone I feel I have invested in and watched grow in front of my eyes. She is doing NO HARM! x

I don’t understand why anyone would say a negative thing to Ali. I follow his channel in UA-cam and he’s pure class. Comes across as the sweetest kindest gentleman who loves his fur baby’s and you so much. ❤ You and Ali need to be yourselves at all time’s, don’t allow the internet to make you feel like an alien. But the inspiration you give to people who aren’t living in a high net worth life is also incredible - or at least it is for me. Going back 5/6 years ago I watched your morning routine where you wore the funky gym gear and headed to David Lloyd in a white evoque and a young 19 year old me watched and thought ‘ wow I would love to be driving a Range Rover on my way to David Lloyd’ it was a year or so later as I was driving home from David Lloyd gyms in my evoque at the time when it suddenly hit me with a big holy *f , that I sat back and thought oh my goodness. I’ve always thanked you for that. If people don’t relate or don’t enjoy your content, why watch? Why follow? For the most of us you provide love, encouragement and inspiration. Showing us that we can also truly get what we want through finding hard work in something we are passionate about. I haven’t been in this industry long but I take so much inspiration from you and I know many other people do also. It’s true you can’t please everybody but please know you have done so much for so many people who do appreciate your content and each video you post sparks joy in so many 🤍 be unapologetically you x
Thank you! I’m not saying my content is right, it’s just not right for everyone and you kind of have to take what you need from the internet and content creators when you need it. Sometimes I need calming, sometimes I need motivation, sometimes I need to not watch anything! But it’s really down to me to manage that. It sort of feels like “get off our internet” if you offer something different that some might see as vulgar whilst others may take something positive. x
MAJOR TIP RE: SLOW GROWING HAIR!!! My sister experienced horrendously slow hair growth for most of her life. It literally DID NOT grow. She had very thick, dense hair and tried everything to help make it grow faster - nothing worked UNTIL she STOPPED USING STRAIGHTENERS!!! I don't know why, but the minute she stopped using these her hair started to grow normally. She struggled to get it past her shoulders and now it's all the way down her back. I don't know if this will work for everyone but it was a gamechanger for my sister! Thought I'd share!

Lydia, I was sent to elocution lessons as a pre-teen. My accent became completely different to my peers but I was the same person. Only later in life I knew that speaking in your 'own' accent, regardless, was the way to authenticity. People who 'try' to sound posh when around the actual posh just end up sounding rediculous. There is never a good outcome when presenting a facade. 'You' get lost in the process. The old saying of just be yourself, it's true. I'm 55 now, many lessons learned. Love your chanel ❤️
When people are critical is more about them. They don’t like themselves. They are jealous! Ali has a stunning wife, great home and an AMAZING life! Don’t give a thought to negative people.
Absolutely 100% spot on. The funny thing is that they don’t realise that they’re displaying their own inherent unhappiness. I did a lot of reading up on psychology during the pandemic and found that when you don’t like someone and they realllly get under your skin and constantly trigger you, there’s something about them that reflects a quality within you that you haven’t accepted and is your ‘shadow.’ If you dislike someone and can let it go and shrug it off, it’s a minor annoyance, then it’s just a simple clash of people and doesn’t have any deep rooted significance in your life. But if it’s consuming you and the person literally drives you insane, journal about it until you pinpoint what it is that they have and you have in common and how you can work on forgiving yourself and bettering yourself to reprogram that quality.
I have lost faith in her. I sent something to her by her PO BOX over 2 mths ago and have had no reply from her. I’ve used her email address and tried to contact her on IG without any success. I find this extremely rude, why have contact details for followers and not reply. This criticism is well deserved.

In the past 12mo i’ve been through a soul crushing realisation in finding myself on the outside of my circle. Whereby i am so afraid to trust, love, laugh openly. I understand you wholeheartedly when you say you go about your life with the most loving best intentions. Without question. I was the same & had my heart ripped to shreds. My husband has been my saving grace. I’m in a bewildered state. Rebuilding & finding out how to not instantly jump to the needs of others. Discovering I’m actually a chronic people pleaser & all the derogatory terms that come with it. Shame, guilt, loneliness, self sabotage. An exhaustion that sleep can’t cure. Oh my gosh this was me a little over a year ago! You will heal. It’s hard and tiring but you will grow and learn so much about yourself that it will all be worth it. I am so much happier within myself and I know who my tribe is. I have jumped out the plant closet thanks to Lydia and I find joy in my plants and vegetables. The little things. I have a small group of people who surround me but they are not around me for my people pleasing they are around me for my true authentic self. Rest easy and take one day at a time ❤
The whole point is to have different options of content! I watch everything and immensely enjoy your videos for your style/shopping, warmth, energy, relatability (I’m American and in a lower income bracket)and personality. I relate to you in other ways! It’s up to me to find it or KEEP SCROLLING! Why must everything be exactly as I am? I go to UA-cam see see other interests and lifestyles. I also watch video of item restorations, cooking, cleaning and How-To’s. I don’t need a visual echo chamber! It always hurts us more deeply when the people we love and know are attacked. She’s on about the guy who does the “on todays episode of i’m rich you’re poor” videos. He has done one on both Lydia and Ali taking the piss out of their perceived “rich” lifestyle. They are funny because I suppose Lydia and Ali’s lifestyles aren’t that relatable anymore to most. Yes I’m sure they have a cohort that they are relatable to but for the most part they are no longer relatable. His videos are light hearted. I don’t think the intention is to damage the ppl behind them. I still love watching Lydia and Ali’s content and love how they’ve grown and worked hard. I celebrate them yet I can have a laugh at how incomparable it is to my povo lifestyle 😂 it’s not that deep. I don’t think! I wish Lydia didn’t stress so much over it. I know that’s easy for me to say when I’m not the one on the receiving end but it seems like wasted energy as it’s not something she’ll ever be able to control or change. You can place the cake tins on parchment paper and trace a circle. Cut the circle out and it should fit perfectly in the bottom of the tin. Or, someone, somewhere probably sells pre-cut circles that you can just pop in. Green cake looks delicious!

I think what you have to always remember is people will be very quick to say something online because there's that reality barrier. A stranger would never tell you to your face "you're unrelatable because of your financial situation" - we have social etiquette face-to-face and nobody would react in such a way because we all know that everyone's circumstances are different and what's achievable for one person may not be for someone else, and that's okay. There will always be someone with more than you, and always someone with less. Super easy to tap away on a keyboard and pass judgment.
I never really comment but came to say that I feel for you and other UA-camrs because you’re prime targets for miserable internet trolls to pick on. It must be absolutely infuriating to see any negativity directed at Ali or yourself but know that you have so many true fans out here that love you and appreciate your content for many different reasons. I'd move away from matching the gold on the bag and match the Wicker. You can get some similar style shoes in the same tones as the bag. Dior do a rattan Dway slide which I have and love. But it's got Christian dior splashed across the strap which you would probably hate now. Wicker just refers to the woven construction method by which these items are made, while rattan refers to the material used for weaving. So you should be able to find a good match.
This is why you are one of my favorite content creators. You are so REAL and so BRAVE to be yourself in everything you do. This is why so many people are so drawn to you, whether it be positive or negative. Your rawness and authentic self is what we all crave and need in a world too afraid of integrity, honesty and truth.
Ali is the first male content creator I've ever followed! Obviously I found him through following your channel for years and some of his content isn't necessarily geared to me (33yr old woman) but I just love your guys home and aesthetic and the lifestyle your both trying to cultivate so I often find myself listening to Ali talk about floor boards and sheds and mens clothing. Trust me he's doing something right if I'm willing to listen to shed talk 😂❤

Those kind of ‘moments’ in your life can be so special and very cathartic. We went away to a cottage one Christmas and we had about 4ft of snow and we were outside the kitchen door with hot chocolates in hand and there were birds picking up bits of bread we put out - two deer were on the grass and 3 rabbits - it was like a scene from Disney - it was amazing - and we will never forget it ❤. It’s weird isn’t it - you wouldn’t get mad for yourself when the trolls attack you - as they have done in the past - but when people pick on those we love and who are so lovely get slated unnecessarily the lioness comes out and we could kill 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. There is nothing wrong with wanting a different, or better, life for yourself - also everyone goes through different times in their life and want different things than they did 10 years ago - it’s called growing up. Your content is often going g to be perceived as “dammed if you do - dammed if you don’t” - you cannot please everyone - those of us that follow you do so because we like seeing you and Ali and the boys. ❤

I think i know the tiktok you ar refering to and i honestly laughed when i saw that because i know your and Alis back ground so i know you are not that kind of people. But i also have to say that without context aspecially on tiktok the kind of contet you two produce looks like old money rich people who have lost touch with what is normal. I always think: oh man people are going to misinterpret this again. I never assume you are that way rather that you just need more than a few seconds to get your view across and need more time to express yourself. Also i watched a few of this guys tiktoks and i always assume that there were just for fun and to highlight that these creator are very very priviliged and often dont acknowledge this. I know you have may richer followers but most peolpe will never be able to live like you. And even the scene you discribed about a deer and rabbit. Sure money cant buy that but most people cant afford to go on these beautiful walks every morning because they have one or more jobs. Anyway I still totally enjoy your contet, just maybe acknowledge from time to time that you know how lucky you are and that your income makes a huge difference in your lifestile choices.

Lydia, you’re living your true authentic self now, you can see the joy you get from simple things. You never need to apologise for liking oppulance, good quality and high value items. Be proud of how you’ve developed as an adult. It’s no coincidence that your platform has grown now that you’re your true self and have found your passion, it’s contagious and the universe always rewards us when we come back to who we were as a child, before society got a hold of our brains and taught us to act a certain way, dress a certain way, consume material items a certain way, speak a certain way etc. Honouring that inner child literally makes us magnetic so carry on just as you are.
Okay sooo I think this is my first time commenting, I’ve followed your journey almost from the beginning and I think I’ve watched nearly every video in the last few years. I kinda watch it as a TV program because I don’t have cable. Let me start with this, your life couldn’t be further from mine in “relatability”. I’m a 25 year old newly wed in Detroit, Michigan and live in an 800sqft house and struggle to make ends meet and honestly have completely different styles. What we do relate on is our belief in authenticity, kindness, and the ability to dream. Funny enough I watched you less back in your fitness influencer days. Now, I wonder if subconsciously I picked up on what you mentioned- that you hadn’t really figured yourself out yet. All this to say the more you come into yourself the more I’ve watched. That’s the type of viewership you garner when you are honest. We literally relate on our belief that relatability is never worth your authenticity- how ironic 😂❤ Also what a sad life to live every day on someone else’s expectation. Watching your evolution of where you fit in in this world and coming to harmony with who you are has been joyful and inspiring.
There’s so much venom on social platforms, it really saddens me! We’ve all said this or that about someone, we are only human after all! I must say Lydia, I am A LOT like you. I love proper speech, love classic and timeless style and really value quality things from my car to my food as well as instrumental music. However I’m from Tennessee and have often received criticism like I’m a snob just for liking what I like. I have thought in the past about doing you tube and sharing my thoughts and lifestyle but I honestly don’t think I could handle the criticism and the trolling. I am now 29, and watching your style and mindset progress is so inspiring. Especially due to that you do purchase things with the intent of having them for years and not fast fashion trends. I really appreciate you saying there's room for everyone here on YT, I make vlogs with a heavy lean on thrift/vintage shopping as you mentioned and people don't particularly flock to my channel to watch them. I need to amp it up a bit with some excitement but I have to stay true to myself and would rather not get the views than feel like I have to make something controversial just to get noticed. Your content gives me hope that well-rounded lifestyle vlogs have a place here and am willing to be patient to find my people who get me. I get you Lydia! Hi Lydia, I follow you and enjoy doing so. I certainly have no wealth 😂 A couldn't possibly purchase from the stores you do for clothes ( they wouldn't fit anyway 🙄), jewellery or handbags and I don't have a garden so can't plant or make a showcase outside. I can't afford holidays or eat in fancy restaurants. But what you do is give me ideas and make me realise that as a single working mom who appreciates lovely things I can have them just like you but according to my budget. So I'll go and treat myself to a lovely candle, I go to the garden centre and buy house plants and I have just made my own little indoor kitchen herb garden from seeds. I'll treat myself to skin care but all in MY budget. YOU give me the inspiration to do that. Oh and I take the hair burst after your recommendation. Just he yourself. If people want to watch you just to criticise then they are obviously sad, jealous or twisted. Ignore them. Keep doing what your doing. Like I said we are financially worlds apart. No one has everything you're exactly right they might be rich in material items but not in family or vice versa ! life is not a competition . Everyone has the same 24 hrs ! I dont have designer items , which I actually can afford as I run my own business but they mean nothing to me at all . I have a beautiful son and daughter that I have put my all into bringing them up as kind thoughtful human beings and spent my money on their education . I just have moved to London and have started to learn how British people are doing literally everything because I want to fit in the society. I completely understand you because as I child of rich parents I have always been treated badly and people around me always assume that I am piece of shit just because I went to private school and had something they didn’t have. Please don’t quit UA-cam and Instagram and TikTok! If you don’t fit in, it just means you don’t correspond with the masses and it’s completely normal. I am sure you have a big amount of followers who respect you, cherish you and watch your videos and literally write down your interesting thoughts, pieces of advice and recipes. What is so great about relatable content anyway? I much prefer to be served aspirational content that provides escapism and entertainment! I have had an emotional day for several reasons. With that being said, I will probably make you, Lydia, and everyone here, feel a bit nauseous. You hit several really great points. Food for thought and some things to think about. I've been subbed FOREVER. I have watched your channel grow but most of all, I have watched YOU grow. It has been a pleasure and a journey for all of those who have followed you over the years. There is so much freaking content now...we consume so much STUFF!!!!!! It comes at us 24/7 and frankly, makes everyone half nuts. I have been feeling half nuts! I was catching up on some of your gardening - related vlogs the other day. Feeling just...out of sorts. Do I have the money to create a beautiful garden and build a magnificent greenhouse? No. But I got up off my couch, got myself together, went to the local garden store with my dog in tow, and bought seeds. I came home, planted those little seeds into stupid little old pots that I have from years ago. Labeled them, and have been checking on them every day. We have had a few nice days here in Southern France where I live. Guess what I saw today? SPROOOOTS!!!! I was so elated. I remember you had said something about how gardening has helped with your mental health. Keeping you strong and healthy and busy. I realized no one needs a lot of money to grow a simple plant, a beautiful flower, or their first vegetables (which is what I planted). What I am trying to say is, people that watch you (and perhaps envy you), think they can't relate to you because they don't have enough money to buy exactly what you buy. For those people, like myself, I say, start where you are with what you have and just do SOMETHING. Getting my hands filthy in that dirt and making a mess, but feeling a sense of achievement in however small of a form as my sproots, made me feel grounded again. Just know, to some of us (more than you think), your content is informative, uplifting, beautiful, sensible, funny, and in fact RICH with ideas about life, fashion, baking, gardening, shopping, love, friendship, dreams and aspirations. You inspire people. Do you know how little there is of that left in this mad, mad world? Not much. Keep going, girl. I don’t go to museums, look at masterpieces and think, “oh, I’ll never paint like that, it’s unachievable!” and storm out. No, I take inspiration and ideas.
Personally, I am not turned on by luxury things. Not my bag. Have no desire to own them, or to part with the money. That doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy how much Lydia enjoys them.
I think you’re right. We’re being overwhelmed with content everywhere we turn and if some people are not disciplined about curating their online world, they are perhaps driven potty and resort to anger and bitterness and spite.

Going back 5/6 years ago I watched your morning routine where you wore the funky gym gear and headed to David Lloyd in a white evoque and a young 19 year old me watched and thought ‘ wow I would love to be driving a Range Rover on my way to David Lloyd’ it was a year or so later as I was driving home from David Lloyd gyms in my evoque at the time when it suddenly hit me with a big holy *f , that I sat back and thought oh my goodness. I’ve always thanked you for that. If people don’t relate or don’t enjoy your content, why watch? Why follow? For the most of us you provide love, encouragement and inspiration. Showing us that we can also truly get what we want through finding hard work in something we are passionate about. MAJOR TIP RE: SLOW GROWING HAIR!!! My sister experienced horrendously slow hair growth for most of her life. It literally DID NOT grow. She had very thick, dense hair and tried everything to help make it grow faster - nothing worked UNTIL she STOPPED USING STRAIGHTENERS!!! I don't know why, but the minute she stopped using these her hair started to grow normally. She struggled to get it past her shoulders and now it's all the way down her back. I don't know if this will work for everyone but it was a gamechanger for my sister! Thought I'd share!

Lydia, I was sent to elocution lessons as a pre-teen. My accent became completely different to my peers but I was the same person. Only later in life I knew that speaking in your 'own' accent, regardless, was the way to authenticity. People who 'try' to sound posh when around the actual posh just end up sounding rediculous. There is never a good outcome when presenting a facade. 'You' get lost in the process. The old saying of just be yourself, it's true. I'm 55 now, many lessons learned.

Absolutely 100% spot on. The funny thing is that they don’t realise that they’re displaying their own inherent unhappiness. I did a lot of reading up on psychology during the pandemic and found that when you don’t like someone and they realllly get under your skin and constantly trigger you, there’s something about them that reflects a quality within you that you haven’t accepted and is your ‘shadow.’
If you dislike someone and can let it go and shrug it off, it’s a minor annoyance, then it’s just a simple clash of people and doesn’t have any deep rooted significance in your life. But if it’s consuming you and the person literally drives you insane, journal about it until you pinpoint what it is that they have and you have in common and how you can work on forgiving yourself and bettering yourself to reprogram that quality.
I have lost faith in her. I sent something to her by her PO BOX over 2 mths ago and have had no reply from her. I’ve used her email address and tried to contact her on IG without any success. I find this extremely rude, why have contact details for followers and not reply. This criticism is well deserved.

Oh my gosh this was me a little over a year ago! You will heal. It’s hard and tiring but you will grow and learn so much about yourself that it will all be worth it. I am so much happier within myself and I know who my tribe is. I have jumped out the plant closet thanks to Lydia and I find joy in my plants and vegetables. The little things. She’s on about the guy who does the “on todays episode of i’m rich you’re poor” videos. He has done one on both Lydia and Ali taking the piss out of their perceived “rich” lifestyle. They are funny because I suppose Lydia and Ali’s lifestyles aren’t that relatable anymore to most. Yes I’m sure they have a cohort that they are relatable to but for the most part they are no longer relatable. His videos are light hearted. I don’t think the intention is to damage the ppl behind them. I still love watching Lydia and Ali’s content and love how they’ve grown and worked hard. I celebrate them yet I can have a laugh at how incomparable it is to my povo lifestyle 😂 it’s not that deep. I don’t think! I wish Lydia didn’t stress so much over it. I know that’s easy for me to say when I’m not the one on the receiving end but it seems like wasted energy as it’s not something she’ll ever be able to control or change. The internet is the belly of the beast but it’s also paying for her wonderful lifestyle so I think it’s a case of taking the good with the bad and learning to ignore and push past what doesn’t serve you. I think what you have to always remember is people will be very quick to say something online because there's that reality barrier. A stranger would never tell you to your face "you're unrelatable because of your financial situation" - we have social etiquette face-to-face and nobody would react in such a way because we all know that everyone's circumstances are different and what's achievable for one person may not be for someone else, and that's okay. There will always be someone with more than you, and always someone with less.

I'd move away from matching the gold on the bag and match the Wicker. You can get some similar style shoes in the same tones as the bag. Dior do a rattan Dway slide which I have and love. But it's got Christian dior splashed across the strap which you would probably hate now. Wicker just refers to the woven construction method by which these items are made, while rattan refers to the material used for weaving. So you should be able to find a good match.
This is why you are one of my favorite content creators. You are so REAL and so BRAVE to be yourself in everything you do. This is why so many people are so drawn to you, whether it be positive or negative. Your rawness and authentic self is what we all crave and need in a world too afraid of integrity, honesty and truth.
Ali is the first male content creator I've ever followed! Obviously I found him through following your channel for years and some of his content isn't necessarily geared to me (33yr old woman) but I just love your guys home and aesthetic and the lifestyle your both trying to cultivate so I often find myself listening to Ali talk about floor boards and sheds and mens clothing. Those kind of ‘moments’ in your life can be so special and very cathartic. We went away to a cottage one Christmas and we had about 4ft of snow and we were outside the kitchen door with hot chocolates in hand and there were birds picking up bits of bread we put out - two deer were on the grass and 3 rabbits - it was like a scene from Disney - it was amazing - and we will never forget it ❤. It’s weird isn’t it - you wouldn’t get mad for yourself when the trolls attack you - as they have done in the past - but when people pick on those we love and who are so lovely get slated unnecessarily the lioness comes out and we could kill 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. There is nothing wrong with wanting a different, or better, life for yourself - also everyone goes through different times in their life and want different things than they did 10 years ago - it’s called growing up. Your content is often going g to be perceived as “dammed if you do - dammed if you don’t” - you cannot please everyone - those of us that follow you do so because we like seeing you and Ali and the boys. ❤

I dont usually comment on stuff like this but i just feel like i want to give my two cents (is that the saying I am german so excuse my english). I think i know the tiktok you ar refering to and i honestly laughed when i saw that because i know your and Alis back ground so i know you are not that kind of people. But i also have to say that without context aspecially on tiktok the kind of contet you two produce looks like old money rich people who have lost touch with what is normal. I always think: oh man people are going to misinterpret this again. I never assume you are that way rather that you just need more than a few seconds to get your view across and need more time to express yourself. Also i watched a few of this guys tiktoks and i always assume that there were just for fun and to highlight that these creator are very very priviliged and often dont acknowledge this. I know you have may richer followers but most peolpe will never be able to live like you. And even the scene you discribed about a deer and rabbit. Sure money cant buy that but most people cant afford to go on these beautiful walks every morning because they have one or more jobs. Anyway I still totally enjoy your contet, just maybe acknowledge from time to time that you know how lucky you are and that your income makes a huge difference in your lifestile choices.

Okay sooo I think this is my first time commenting, I’ve followed your journey almost from the beginning and I think I’ve watched nearly every video in the last few years. I kinda watch it as a TV program because I don’t have cable. Let me start with this, your life couldn’t be further from mine in “relatability”. I’m a 25 year old newly wed in Detroit, Michigan and live in an 800sqft house and struggle to make ends meet and honestly have completely different styles. What we do relate on is our belief in authenticity, kindness, and the ability to dream.
Funny enough I watched you less back in your fitness influencer days. Now, I wonder if subconsciously I picked up on what you mentioned- that you hadn’t really figured yourself out yet.
All this to say the more you come into yourself the more I’ve watched.

However I’m from Tennessee and have often received criticism like I’m a snob just for liking what I like. So I'll go and treat myself to a lovely candle, I go to the garden centre and buy house plants and I have just made my own little indoor kitchen herb garden from seeds. No one has everything you're exactly right they might be rich in material items but not in family or vice versa ! life is not a competition . Everyone has the same 24 hrs ! I dont have designer items , which I actually can afford as I run my own business but they mean nothing to me at all . I have a beautiful son and daughter that I have put my all into bringing them up as kind thoughtful human beings and spent my money on their education . We dont need to drag others down , cant we be happy for what they have achieved too . There are Many ways to achieve in all areas . If you are jealous you are lacking in something yourself . Dear Lydia, I am proud to say out loud that you are my role model.
I just have moved to London and have started to learn how British people are doing literally everything because I want to fit in the society. I completely understand you because as I child of rich parents I have always been treated badly and people around me always assume that I am piece of shit just because I went to private school and had something they didn’t have.
Please don’t quit UA-cam and Instagram and TikTok! If you don’t fit in, it just means you don’t correspond with the masses and it’s completely normal. I am sure you have a big amount of followers who respect you, cherish you and watch your videos and literally write down your interesting thoughts, pieces of advice and recipes. Count me in, I am totally one of them!
P.S. my mom always used to say that you can’t make friends with everyone. And it’s ok cause I prefer to make friends with the best people (the best in my humble opinion)

What is so great about relatable content anyway? I much prefer to be served aspirational content that provides escapism and entertainment! Jealous and bitter people should probably stay away from social media all together as its obviously not good for their mental health and leads them to bring other people down unnecessarily.
