I'd rather spend 15quid on a 4pack and a bottle of rose and watch a movie with the Mrs than spend 50quid on a 4pints and 4 glasses of wine that's why I don't go to pubs as much now it's too expensive
I don't drink alcohol. But going to the pub to have a pint of Pepsi max cost 1.95. When I can get a 2 litre bottle of Pepsi max mango for 1.25 at my local discount store. These days it's better to buy from the shops and drink at home than waste so much money at the pub.
Pubs need to diversify the offering, otherwise they will continue to die out. Plus the prices are astronomical but so is the cost of living so it all adds up.
Millions do anyway. Just loaded up on Westons 3 x 8.2, 2 x 7,3% cider and a bottle of wine for £19.00 and that's from a Tesco Express. I'm set for the day, that would be £60 in a pub, not that the fun police would let me
I’ve committed to Dry 2022, Dry 2023, Dry 2024, and I’m going for Dry 2025 as well. Other than one or two pub meals a year, I haven’t set foot in a pub. And no, I don’t want a pint of Walkers either! If pubs are in decline, it’s simply a reflection of market changes-there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. A community isn’t defined by a pub; it’s defined by the people who make up that community. The sharing of ideas, experiences, the creation of bonds, and lifelong friendships don’t require a “boozer.”
transform pubs slightly. In France there are café theatre, philosophical coffee shops, political coffee shop hubs, game pubs etc. Just repurpose to bring the youth back.
Because people can't afford it. Anymore.. and people's habits have changed. New generation hardly drink. More into their tech on the tellybox😮 Football factory DD LEGEND
The younger generation do more drugs and are more depressed! The idea of less drinkers is more to do with less pub drinkers because of the expense. The pub was always the central hub of community. Everyone would go. Discuss, have a laugh, sort out problems. The agenda to destroy the pub is just another part of the replacement of British culture.
Because they are too expensive
they’re scratching their heads saying what could it be?? Very out of touch..
The elephant in the room.
Work harder

4 bucks for a small Pepsi max down the boozer.
Too expensive for non alcoholic drinks….
The trouble is pubs are not pubs anymore there more like restraunts could not stand at the bar the last when i went to have a beer( stupied)

tax on beer in pubs is ridiculous
And sugar tax on soft drinks too
In January, people want to avoid the pub for better health. I know. Let's offer them some unhealthy crisps to get them in the door.
I just bought 4 pints of beer at my local shop for £4 no pub can compete with that…. No smoking in pubs , I’d rather drink at home.

Bit of an odd comment.
@@macklee6837you people age faster because of the sun and too much booze. No skin moisturiser usage either
@@kareemdurrant139 bit of a strange comment
Why would they speak to fake pub landlord about this
I feel like I'm watching reality TV
We’ve become so anti social , going to the pub is much better craic than drinking at home
Nice timepiece Danny 👌
How are pubs important to the community if the community is choosing not to go?
6 quid a pint no thanks
