What Is Service Coordination?

Service coordinators are a valuable member of the management team in affordable housing communities. They typically have social work or human services education and experience. The role of the service coordinator is to link elderly, people with disabilities and low-income families to supportive services and other community resources. Some service coordinator positions are funded through HUD grants, while others are supported through federal rent subsidies or by municipalities through tax income.

Thank you for posting this video. I did not expect to find something like this. I just got offered a Service Coordinator position at a senior residences. This was a nice inside look of what may come.
