Ahh, the great Ka Blas F. Ople, Father of the Philippine Labor Code. I was a labor union director of one of the country's multinational companies. Back then, we used to attend seminars at UP-SOLAIR and pore over the Labor Code which your grandfather authored. Learned a lot "from Ka Blas".
It looks like familiar ang subdivision ng auntie mo. Very nice ang secret kubo niya siguro magkapitbahay lang kami. Hehehehehe. I am currently living in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
Grabi naman super amazing talaga Yong bahay na Yan,. Very wonderful inside actually yon talaga Yong gusto ko sana Maka punta ka sa bahay ko at turuan mo ako paano gawin ang mga iyon
How I wish also Sir, that my late grand father would have seen the man I am today. I was a lolo's boy and boy! he was the one who taught me to become a fine gentle man. I learn how to wear nice leather shoes and polo and one sided comb hair. How I miss the good old days with him. On a different note. This is just what I picture when me and my wife retires also with a strong net, 2 German Shepperd dogs and a ford raptor lol. I really like to have a big front yard and back yard that I can plant vegetables. Supper nice Sir Carlo.

Do you have plans to put those articles in book form, the way Ambeth Ocampo and even Conrado De Quiros did. I've always wanted to know more about Sen. Blas Ople. Thanks.

Yan ang kailangan talaga ng mga politikong gustong mangarap ng malaki tulad ni late Blas Ople, lalo na kung ang pinakamataas na posisyon ng bansa na dapat kabisado mo ang Political landscape at Diplomacy not like some of the aspirant candidate this days na walang alam tapos ang lakas ng loob mag presidente.👌 👍 🇵🇭
When you were talking about the articles from your Grandpa, I cant think of any other caption about that but this: To You, From 70 Years Ago AOT Reference. 🤣
Your Grand father was one of the brilliant mind during Pres. Marcos...and a good man pinapakabisado kase sa amin during our school days kung sino yung mga ministers ni Pres. Marcos and the name ople alway comes in our mind dahil sya ung minister of labor...God bless sa inyo po
Your Grandfather Blas Ople is a national treasure, a true statesman.. read a lot of legacy contribution to labor code and as well laws for migrant workers during the time President Ferdinand Marcos.. and despised by the leftist because he choose to work with the administration of late Marcos and as secretary of Foreign Affairs during PGMA. That's why POEA main building is renamed after your grand lolo because he is that big, a jurassic of a politician that is extinct nowadays. as an OFW who works in the Gulf region for almost half of my life, we owe him a lot. Ingat lang boss sa health, lahat ata ng vids mo may bulalo and cripst pata to cap it out. Godbless you and wifey.
Carlo I'm sure Alam mo to interview ata si Sen Ople ni Ted Koppel ata Sabi ni Ted na lower nya Yung grammar nya or diction Kasi Wala na daw makaaintindi or Di Alam ni Ted kung ano ibig sabihin. He was a brilliant statesman! My dad I remember used to talk about him and it's one of his favorite statesman.
Your late grand dad is the brother in law of my Aunt, Carlo. And my Mom worked for him when he was working for the SSS - Ferdinand Marcos just trusted him with so much stuff. I remember my Mom telling stories about how good a man and how intelligent he was. He was actually the ghost writer of Marcos (along with Kit Tatad) and my mom remembers how he would tell her how much he thinks highly of Marcos. Matalino daw. Blas Ople had so many writers that worked for him and yes, even artists such as Malang Santos. Just a bit of trivia, Carlo. I hope you’re reading this. Malang’s two sons are into NBA Cards. Si Mang Simon at si Mang Steve. Si Mang Steve had a massive stroke a few years ago so he aint active anymore. Nakakatuwa lang if you think about it, because it really is a small world, ano? Now, an Ople is also into NBA Cards. LOL. Hope to talk to you when I see you again, I’d love to share stories about your Grand Dad that my late Mom shared to me.
