Union Budget 2025-26 Highlights!!

Nirmala Sitharaman has made some major announcements in the Union Budget 2025-26. Let’s take a look.
First - Income Tax Reforms
The biggest step has been taken in tax reforms.
The Finance Minister has increased the income tax rebate limit from ₹7 lakh to ₹12 lakh, which means you won’t have to pay any tax on an income of up to ₹12 lakh.
Along with this, the new tax slabs now look like this:
Second - Insurance Sector
The Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) limit in the insurance sector has been increased from 74% to 100%.
Third - Fiscal Deficit Target
The government has revised its fiscal deficit target to 4.8% of GDP.
Special Announcements for Bihar
Several announcements have been made for Bihar.
These include the formation of a Makhana Board and the expansion of Patna Airport, which will give a major boost to Bihar’s economy.
Finally
The government is set to introduce a new income tax bill next week, making it easier for all taxpayers to understand.
