Noah Miller I’d get Inside Mari next. The story has the same feel like Flowers of Evil unlike Happiness. Also the artwork is better for Inside Mari. Happiness has more of a sketchy artwork style kinda like he rushed the artwork. He does work on multiple series at once so it makes sense

Now, I wanna start collecting the manga but, I see that there’s a Deluxe edition of Berserk being made, which looks great. Do you think I should start collecting the deluxe edition ( Is it worth it) or just collect the normal manga volumes?
Both. Lol I mean if you’ve already read it all then I would just get the Deluxe editions because they’re much nicer than the standard paperback but they are more expensive at $50 a volume vs $45 for three single paperbacks

Started collecting 5 months ago and already have 400+ volumes (if you count the omnibuses as multiple volumes). Only buying off Amazon, since I live in Europe and Rightstuf has insane delivery costs outside of the US. My favorite series in my collection are: Berserk, Gantz, Vagabond, Prison School, Akira, I am a hero, Vinland Saga, Jojos and fist of the north star

I am retiring from the Army this Spring, currently geo-bachelor, and will need a “clean”/uncluttered, comprehensive, and universal method of displaying several thousand manga volumes for display, reading, and then required sale (spouse can only take so much) once we combine homes again. Well thank you for your service. I was in the army as well but only for a short period and the bookcases are Billy Bookcases by IKEA. I had to drive almost 3 hours away to get them but they are worth it and the best bookcases to display and hold manga. I had to buy 2 additional shelves for $15 each for each bookcases just to give you a heads up. They come in 4 colors but I think they’re discontinuing the Brown ones that I buy.
Prof. Kun yes I’ve noticed books that aren’t bagged yellow while books that are don’t really. I saw this when I bagged half of my Evangelion Shinji Ikari books and left the other half I bagged for 5 years and the unbagged ones started to yellow

No longer human by Vertical is much more realistic and dark. The Junji Ito version feels much more like a horror. They’re both good but the Vertical release is better In my opinion

I used to own Eden volumes 1-14, years ago but sold it and most of my collection for various reasons. I enjoyed it but never got to finish it cuz Dark Horse sucks at Publishing. I’d Recommend Zetman. It’s not licensed so I had to read it online but so good and amazing art.Also Elfen Lied the Manga is really good, better than the anime. I Am a Hero is good too but the first volume is really slow, after volume one it gets good. Ajin Demi-Human is an amazing Seinen. I enjoyed the anime so I bought all of the manga. I’m sure there’s more seinen I could recommend but those would be pervy series like Prison School lol

I plan on reading all Naoki Urasawa works once I complete 20th Century Boys and Zetman is by the same creator of Video Girl Ai and I”s but is not a RomCom. It’s a very mature action series. So good and the artwork is in my top 3 for best manga artists

All are way too mainstream. I like getting the underrated and hidden gem series, although if you watch my Bookcase 1 video you’ll see that I started getting Slam Dunk and I’d like to get YuYu Hakusho again (I used to own 1-18)

Maybe if I can get them for $5 a volume but I’m not spending $20 on each volume especially when there’s like 15 volumes out.
