The boys need ground with a smooth surface to really play with remote-controlled cars. They can't drive the toys on that dirt.
You should consider laying concrete paths in front of your house leading up towards your gate so they have a smooth wide surface to play. If you leave some open dirt areas on each side of the path, you can use that for planting or making a ⚽️ football play area for them.
