It was such a tender moment to see your hand outstretched saying goodbye to the home you brought your daughter into and then see you pan over and be able to see her toddling down the hall. I’m a mom, so I know I’m emotional now by nature, so that made me teary eyed! Congratulations on the move (and the beautiful family!)
Its totally acceptable for you to feel connected to that home, it isn't superficial to care. And you aren't letting that sadness or connection to keep you from what you want to do. You don't have to police your emotions! Its healthy to admit to human feelings.
I LOVE this kind of spontaneous, non-staged, real vlog. PLEASE do more of these - no need for too much impressive editing or drone shots, or exotic locations. Just 4 walls and 2(3) people going through life.
Mimi, I understand. I shed a few tears today after my last parent-teacher conference for my daughter who will graduate this spring. All of these milestones are special. Enjoy this new chapter!~Dana
I never understand why your videos get so much hate about every little decision you make.. Renting instead of buying is a very sound choice. Those nice apartments cost so much that the monthly mortgage payments are going to be massive, probably more than if you just rent the place! Moreover, not everyone likes to spend their entire lives in the same house! My husband and I have been together for over 7 years and we moved twice across continents, and in total 7 times between different homes. We are not planning on buying anytime soon because we like moving and experiencing new apartments/houses and getting to know new areas in London. Besides, as years pass your needs change so it doesn't make sense to lock yourself in one place. Flexibility = less stress, for us at least. I swear some people just want others to buy homes to get them into debt lol. Paying 3.5% deposit on a place and then some monthly payments for 25-35 years barely qualifies as "buying"...
Sabina Talibzade I agree with you for the most part, but the benefit of buying is that after those 20/25/30 years your house is paid off and you don't have to worry about rent or payments anymore. I guess if you know you want to stay somewhere it is worth it.
Cláudia Gusmão sure, but that’s only for those who know they will want to stay in the same place for all those decades. Plus, you may not be able to buy a place you really want straight away, so lots of people end up buying a place for a few years and then reselling to upgrade.. too much fuss imo and benefits are not even that much greater than from just renting a place except for you’re not at risk if the market crashes. A lot of people don’t want that and so getting lynched about a personal choice that’s just so so easy to understand is really unfair!
Sabina Talibzade yes, sure! As I said, I agree with your comment and I'm not criticising Mimi at all, I was just mentioning when and why it would be worth it to buy :)
Agreed 100%! First of all, it’s her choice (and Alex’s) how they choose to live. They’re happy, successful, have an amazing family, and they live a beautiful life. Why is it even someone else’s business if they choose to rent or buy? It’s not. I’m a loan officer in the states, I do mortgages for a living, but I don’t tell people they need to buy. Also, who knows exactly what’s going in another country with the housing, the economy, etc. People love to rain on other people’s parades...I’m sorry but that’s just so ridiculous.
Congratulations! Wish you a lot of wonderful moments in new flat. And completely understand your tears and feelings, I've moved 2 months ago from our first flat with my husband. I miss that flat a lot.
It makes me so happy to see that after a long and tiresome day of moving to a new place, you two still manage to be positive, look happy, smile and laugh and not hold any grudges. I love that! I myself am trying to get better at this attitude and sometimes I'm failing at it but you always keep me going. Have a wonderful day. xx
I really need this movie. Mimi thank you. Last week we moved to different place in Poland and it was very emotional for me, beacuse it was beautiful place and I was very happy there. I cried all day when we moved.
Mimi I’m currently going through the same thing right now ! We have been renting this house that we call home for years now and it’s sold ! And in a way I got a little emotional too .. however I’m excited and ready for the next chapter! This video just made me smile !! Because home is truly where our loved ones are ! Thank you .. many blessings to you and your beautiful family 💖
I have had the same moving experience twice in Notting Hill. This past Dec, I was 34 weeks pregnant and we moved a 10 minute walk away... the movers did not help us unpack either. They eventually told us they don’t get paid much which is terrible (the moving company takes a huge cut leaving little for the movers). It definitely wasn’t ideal but I later had a wonderful lady come in to help me purge and organise and lift heavier items! You guys were definitely super efficient in getting it all done. Kudos! And now we know to not pay the premium for the unpacking service 🤦🏽♀️
I love this video- i literally moved two weeks ago! Couldn’t agree more about the purge! I’ve been doing it as i unpacked- one final box left and i’ll be done! So relieved!
Congratulations Mimi on this new chapter! We are moving too this week so I know how emotional it can be! Cheers to many more amazing memories in your new home 😘
I don’t normally comment, but I find it beautiful to see the amount of care in Alexa when she wants to feed the birds. Normally when I am out, children run afer animals to try and scare them and laugh whilst doing it. You guys are teaching her the right thing. Muchlove x
I would definitely call and talk to the owner to pay a lower rate and let them know their "worker" was not representing their company in their best interest. I hope you paid with a credit card and you can refuse payment and renegotiate a slow-as-mud-pack-and-move-rate without premium unpacking costs. I would be absolutely livid. I get very upset when people aren't honorable and follow through with what was negotiated ahead of time. But I guess there are a lot of dishonorable people in the world that love to cheat and take advantage of others. Hopefully it was just a bad employee and not the normal company policy to purposefully do a bait and switch to rip people off. I'm so sorry they made your moving experience more stressful and exhausting than it should have been.
+Zara Hazan I have owned my own company since the mid 1990s, and you better believe I'd want to know if some yahoo, slacker employee was tarnishing my good reputation. Legitimate, reputable business people don't try to rip off their customers and take great pride in their products/services. When you own your own business your reputation is EVERYTHING! This situation needs to be brought to the owner's attention. Just as if Mimi and Alex had some yahoo, slacker causing mayhem with their customers, you better believe they'd want to know, so they could correct the problem before it harmed their reputation and ultimately their bottom line. I'm assuming by your comment you're not a business owner or perhaps business ethics and personal integrity might not be very high on your list of qualities you deem important. Best of luck to you.
EEN63 “cheating and taking advantage of others” includes companies and hard-working businesses like yours and like Mimi’s. No businesses want charge-backs on their merchant accounts just because one person was misrepresenting the company. If you have a problem with your bill don’t call your credit card like a coward, call the company to voice your concern. You can even call while you are getting the service. Do your due-diligence is what I’m saying. No company is perfect, leave room for human errors. That’s ethics too.
Zara Hazan did you fail to read the first sentence? Here's a little refresher for the reading and/or comprehension impaired: "I would definitely call and talk to the owner to pay a lower rate and let them know their "worker" was not representing their company in their best interest." What is it about call the owner to try and rectify this unfortunate and unpleasant situation do you not understand? As an additional option, I was hoping they paid with a credit card IN CASE the chat with the owner was not satisfactory. They would still have some recourse from being ripped off. If you recall, the negotiation was for X, Y and Z. They only received X and Y (and here's the issue) but PAID PREMIUM PRICES IN FULL for X, Y AND Z. The moving company needs to rectify what they charged Alex and Mimi for Z... otherwise we call this cheating, stealing, misrepresentation, bad business ethics, being ripped off, being taken advantaged of, etc., etc., etc. What I find most disconcerting is how in the world you jumped to such a host of conclusions that are just ridiculous. Such as, companies like mine and Mimi's are "cheating and taking advantage of others". That's quite a stretch based on what exactly? Or that I'm a coward by suggesting they do what they can to make things fair and right? So the fact that I believe in standing up for what's right, as well as fair and honest business practices makes me a coward? I seriously don't get you. And how did you come to the inane conclusion that I'm the type of client movers don't want? That's quite an uninformed and illogical leap based on my comment. You jump to a lot of very weird and incorrect assumptions, my dear. Having due diligence is NOT what you're saying... a stream of defamatory comments is what you've actually said! Perhaps you're just having a really, REALLY bad day? Once again, best of luck to you.
Great to see that you are starting a new chapter in your life! Moving for me it's almost therapeutic although veeery exhausting! But for me the best part it's deciding what you get to keep and what you don't need anymore. Hope you make beautiful memories in your new home with your wonderful family. Love you 💗💗💗
Really enjoyed watching this blog. I am someone who moves a lot as I love the experience of new places, new homes and new adventures. So a mortgage would be wasted on me too right now. I hope you complained about the movers. I find I have to almost be bossy to get them to do a half decent job. The one time I left movers to it, they dumped all the boxes in the wrong rooms and left early. Anyway I hope you are all happy in your new apartment!
Guys, best video of you being so natural, love you! Mimi you have changed 🤩 so cool, and looking so gorgeous without styling.😍 Thanks for sharing your moving! Best luck with everything! ❤️❤️❤️
It reminded of how difficult to let go of things you are attached to. But its the the people who make your world. Wish you keep enjoying the new place the same way.
I really understand you Mimi!!!! The pressure you are exposed whenever you are moving is terrible!!!! Clothing, furnitures and boxes everywhere make you feel dead on your feet!!!! Futhermore if the people whose are supposed to help you, don’t contribute so much😡 Anyway everything will be perfect and I’m sure you will emjoy a lot your new flat😊💗
Thank you so much for this Mimi. I really took to heart what you said about practicing non-attachment. You are SO right. My family is potentially facing a very big move right now (across seas!) and your message came at the perfect time. I have felt very depressed towards the idea of moving my family so far. But you and Alex are right, we can’t be so attached to a physical place that we remain stagnant. We need to be more fluid and it would be a good message for my children to learn as well. Its tough, but we can do it!
Curious as to why everyone is so concerned about their living choices? Im sure if they wanted to buy a house and it was the best decision for them, they’d make that decision as two full grown adults! Way too many “advisors” in the comments, just worry about how YOU spend your money, not everyone else! 🤷🏽♀️
This vlog has given me so much positive energy around moving. I was just told I have to move flats and I am so unprepared and stressed but this vlog is full of encouragement I can't help feel a bit motivated.
We also move a lot in Japan!! And the good thing is u can store all your clothes and small things in plastic boxes. So you can move it as they are. You don’t need to take everything out, and then to put in. And it saves you a huge amount of time. And there is no clothes on the floor, so no stress! And the plastic boxes are comfortable to use every day and clean. We usually store them in a closet, so they never show up.
It's so interesting that you talk about the less than ideal service you got. My aunt and uncle moved to the UK and got renovations done on their home: they also experienced very slow, very half-assed service. There shouldn't have to be any convincing the people you're paying to do the job they were initially paid for (especially when you pay such a high price for premium service). Sorry this happened to you. I hope the rest of settling in the new home went okay. Always enjoy watching your videos :)
Mimi thank for sharing, congratulations on your new flat, unfortunately things happen but I’m happy u guys found a place near your old flat. I’m glad u guys stay positive and make the best of new situations. I’m sure it will work out for the best because u guys are a good family!
Loved this vlog! You guys seem like such great parents Alexa is so lucky. This obviously isn't easy to be moving and have a toddler to take care of at the same time but you seem to be doing an amazing job so be proud of yourselves.❤️️❤️️❤️️
What a sweet suprise. I haven't followed or seen any videos of you in a long time so when this vlog was on my suggestion list I couldn't wait to watch it. I'm so happy to know you are a wife and a mom. So sweet! You made me smile for sure. Your little one is adorable and your husband looks like he would be very kind and loving. So happy for you! I will be subscribing for sure. Sorry for your bad experience with the movers 😦 but glad you are home! Hugs and rest and I'm sure in no time your place will be all nice and organized. 😊
So I had stopped watching most youtubers for a while. It just seemed like a lot of them got really scripted. I'm so glad I turned this video on. Mimi you seem so natural and relaxed and real! Is so refreshing to see! I love watching you in the role of mom.
A lot of courage has the small family for the moving, you made a beautiful team everything them two!! I had tears in eyes also when you said goodbye has the house. Love you !!
Love your vlogs and always get excited to see a new one!! You are one of my favorite UA-camrs and biggest inspiration for your outlook on life and positivity! XXX
Also for any future moves or anyone who’s moving soon I really recommend renting crates rather than buying cardboard boxes! You rent them by the week (usually it costs around a £1 per crate per week) and they come in different sizes to fit whatever stuff you have and after the week is done (or earlier if you want to) the company just comes and takes them away for free! It’s way cheaper and you don’t have to worry about what to do with your cardboard boxes 😊 They’re also really easy to open and close and they have lids that clip into place and plus they stack nicely!
Mimi you are so right! You don’t need to get attached to superficial things in life...we moved a lot in uk,and I hate it cuz our memories are all over the places....but it’s interesting in the same time!all the best. In the new 🏠.We gone move out too on the weekend! Hugs 🤗
Mimi, I love this place more than your previous one. Your previous home was beautiful too. I understand that we emotionally get connected to homes for some reason. But I am sure that you guys will make many more memories here with Alexa. Lots of love from New Jersey. 🤗😘
Girl, it's even overwhelming to watch this. You're doing so great. I can't even imagine the stress when you see all those unpacked boxes and the huge mess. :-D
I like watching your videos. I like how you show what you are going through. You know you guys moving and how it’s difficult. But it’s real life and it shows that we are all going through things and trying to move on and make things better I know I feel like I can relate to just the struggle not of moving but the feeling of being stressed out with something your going through but telling yourself just have to keep working through it and things will get better. Just like Alex said at the end take it piece by piece. You guys are great and can’t wait to see when your guys new home is done(:
Was great to have an insight into you moving. Always learn so much from you both! (Also just wondering, why do you prefer hardwood flooring over carpet? I find carpet so comfortable!). Thanks for another great vlog x
Congratulations on your new home. It will be beautiful and filled with love as all your homes are. Can you please tell me the colour and brand of paint you use. Your white is so fresh and vibrant. Sending love from Toronto! Mar
Today is the first day our house will be open for buyers to view. This is the place where we brought home our three babies. It is exciting but bitter-sweet. I am excited for you as you continue your journey 🙏🏻💕
That is just terrible. How can they be so unreasonable especially when you paid premium. Just no compassion. Please talk to the company and let them know. You both have such kind hearts and to be treated like this is not acceptable. Good luck and enjoy the new home. New adventure awaits.
Lots of love and luck in your new home. I think it's good to have sentimental feelings about a place, it creates lovely memories. But as one door closes and even better one opens! Love your new apartment, it looks beautiful.x 😄
Congrats Mimi & Alex with your beautiful new home! I go nuts when I see how much stuff is there to be unpacked when I move but it's nice knowing that in the end you have a new start with most of the time less stuff in the new house;)
Oh Mimi I understand how you feel! I work with the rcmp in Canada and I transferred everywhere, but the last move was the house my first girl was born, and I was so emotional leaving!!! When I closed the door of her bedroom for the last time, my heart cracked a bit!!! 😪
We are currently in the process of moving too! We've lived here 2yrs 6mos, & my Giavanna is 2y3m old.❤️ So her first home as well. I'll miss this neighborhood that we've loved so much, most of all. And all of our lovely neighbors, they've always brought my daughter gifts at Christmas & her birthday, they feed our cats when they wander over to visit, we give them gifts and my fiancée helps our elderly neighbors with home projects & lawn work. So we will miss it!! But we're sooo excited for this new chapter & to be into our new house probably next week! Best wishes for you guys' and your move!!! 💙
Sweethearts! Next time don't be afraid to ask for help! Friends and family are way better at moving as they have love for you and wouldn't leave you like that. 💖
aww, moving is never fun, especially when you unfortunately ran into people who didn't do their job well 🙁We moved within Edinburgh last year and for the first time decided to use a service from man with a van type of website where movers bid to get their job and they provided all the reviews of the previous jobs so we could choose the one with good and most reliable reviews. It turned out fine, not expensive and got the job done. But not sure if they have this kind of service in London. Anyway, home is where the heart is ❤️and you will make new wonderful experience wherever you are 😊💕
Just paused the video to make a comment (3:06). The no attachment thing is so, so important and I'm slowly learning how to do that. It might not be that challenging with places, but it certainly is when it comes to people. And learing that love and attachment are two different things and living by this view in my daily life is difficult, scary and liberating, all at the same time.
Hello, It reminds me my last move (november 2017): they started at 7am, at 9.30am one of the 2 guys left (they had a fight I did not whitnessed), the other one did what he could alone but did not all of what was planned and finally left at 4pm...I though I would have a nervous brakedown...M’y kitchen area was full of boxes and furniture that Should be Elsewhere (bedrooms) and the morning after my kitchen was planned to be build...I was so un lucky even though I paid for the service. Had to ask friends last minute to Come and help me until very late....Moving is always a stressfull experience ! Enjoy the new flat, It looks gorgeous! 😍😘
Alexia is so big and beautiful! I agree with you you do what you want in your life. Thank you for sharing your life with us, and disregard the hate comments they mean nothing
I know exactly how you're feeling.. I had to move out of my old place in September, and I'm still not over it :( (I lived in a student residence and since I'm not a student anymore, I can't live there).. I created so many beautiful memories there and it was such a perfect place and when you live in London, it's so difficult to find any decent accommodation..
Loved this Vlog I'm not sure why but it seemed a little nostalgic! And I know you guys love white walls! But I wish I knew what color is currently in your bedroom! It was very pretty! : )
Actually for us the "nyammmmi" not a created word. In Hungary we say it exactly as she said. Of course the way how we write its a different, but the meaning and the pronouncing is the same😁😍 Good luck for the new home. I wish you guys to fill with love and create a lot wonderful memory there. The HOME when your heart and love is and when you get home finally you feel comfort and safety. That is home😍 Big hug from Netherland❤❤❤

I wonder if Alexa will have a british accent. Her parents don't have one, but she's growing up in london..it'll be interesting to see
StarrySoakedSky of course, she will have, in London is cockney accent 😊
She will for sure once she starts school.
Beata that would be the funniest thing...it will most likely be a very refined SW accent I bet.
She will if she grows up there and goes to school.
Mmmm... I don't know if she will
Alex has such a positive outlook on moving! What a great life philosophy, Bravo Alex!
What an experience you just had with the moving! Can't wait to see the finishing touches you guys make in your new home!

When you can't find anything to watch no Netflix on a friday night and Mimi uploads a 17 minute long vlog 😍😘❤️️
Loved it! Can’t wait for the new house tour. :)
Haha I was thinking the same thing ☺️
It reminded of how difficult to let go of things you are attached to. But its the the people who make your world. Wish you keep enjoying the new place the same way.
När man hittar en svensk i kommentarsfältet :) Kollade in din kanal, väldigt fin! Kram
Moving can be so exhausting. So great you made it.🤩 Love you both or all three of you so much.
Moving is not easy. Good bless to You and your family and your New place💖💖💖
Mimi, you are so beautiful! Seeing you cry made me cry! I love you so much ❤️
So I had stopped watching most youtubers for a while. It just seemed like a lot of them got really scripted. I'm so glad I turned this video on. Mimi you seem so natural and relaxed and real! Is so refreshing to see! I love watching you in the role of mom.
The floors at the new place is nicer. Love the new place!
Mimi your emotions are SO BEAUTIFUL! 😘 Love you

i learn so much from your experiences and how you handle things ... thank you for sharing your beautiful life.
thx you guys for sharing your story, despite your moving-in stress.you stay allways positiv and that‘s so inspiring.thank you!!!
love how natural and realistic this vlog is x
Loved this vlog Mimi! You guys are so relatable while also maintaining positivity. ❤
It’s way cheaper and you don’t have to worry about what to do with your cardboard boxes 😊 They’re also really easy to open and close and they have lids that clip into place and plus they stack nicely!
aww i understand your emotions of leaving your first home with you baby !!! I was the same . Wish you all the happiness in your new place xx
Mimi you are so right! You don’t need to get attached to superficial things in life...we moved a lot in uk,and I hate it cuz our memories are all over the places....but it’s interesting in the same time!all the best. In the new 🏠.We gone move out too on the weekend! Hugs 🤗
I love your new flat! Great video 🙌🏻💕💗💕💗
I cried with you guys. But it’s a new season, new place, great things to come!!
Your daughter is adorable! I love that cute pink coat she was wearing!
Mimi you look great, really tanned! Glad the move is over for you guys.
Happy moving! Hope you make amazing memories in your new home! :)
Yes purging helps tremendously it’s so sad how much we accumulate things we don’t need
Such a beautiful family ❤️❤️ I love love watching your channel and watching Alexa grow
Congratulations on your new home. It will be beautiful and filled with love as all your homes are. Can you please tell me the colour and brand of paint you use. Your white is so fresh and vibrant. Sending love from Toronto! Mar
This was such a beautiful video to watch. Congratulations and i wish you nothing but the best!! 🌞
Alexa is so sweet reminds me of my little one ❤ hope you enjoy your new home and create many more memories x
Loads of luck and happiness in your new home guys . Xxxx It is so exhausting but you will get there together . Xx
Lots of love and luck in your new home. I think it's good to have sentimental feelings about a place, it creates lovely memories. But as one door closes and even better one opens! Love your new apartment, it looks beautiful.x 😄
I can't believe how grown up Alexa is already! Time flies. Good luck with the move!
Omg Mimi I can’t believe how big Alexa is already. She is so big. Where is that time???!
Baiba Saybe Kukute Time is here.
Good luck in a new place!!!
Alexa Love has gotten so Big! Absolutely Beautiful! ❤️❤️ such an inspiring family
Good luck friends in your new home.
Love you and your family Mimi ❤️🙏🏼
You and your family are so inspiring 💜💕
I think this was the pretties video you ever posted here... So emotional ❤ i am sure you all are gonna find this new house the one of your dreams ❤
Can’t wait for the new house tour 😊
My favorite videos! Thanks for including us even in the stressful moments:)
aww, moving is never fun, especially when you unfortunately ran into people who didn't do their job well 🙁We moved within Edinburgh last year and for the first time decided to use a service from man with a van type of website where movers bid to get their job and they provided all the reviews of the previous jobs so we could choose the one with good and most reliable reviews. It turned out fine, not expensive and got the job done. But not sure if they have this kind of service in London. Anyway, home is where the heart is ❤️and you will make new wonderful experience wherever you are 😊💕
Hi Mimi!! Moving can be pretty hectic, but love the way you guys manage it. Did you guys rent or buy the flat you moved into??
you guys are the dream team!
Love your family👨👩👧
Just paused the video to make a comment (3:06). The no attachment thing is so, so important and I'm slowly learning how to do that. It might not be that challenging with places, but it certainly is when it comes to people. And learing that love and attachment are two different things and living by this view in my daily life is difficult, scary and liberating, all at the same time.
I can relate to it especially the sentiments of leaving home. .and u did gr8 job cleaning mess in room..waiting 4 ur new house tour good luck
Love you Mimi, Alex and Alexa ❤️
You can take all the memories with you. A house is just a building. 🤗💕
Какая же вы красивая пара, восхищаюсь вами 😍😍😍
I know exactly how you're feeling.. I had to move out of my old place in September, and I'm still not over it :( (I lived in a student residence and since I'm not a student anymore, I can't live there).. I created so many beautiful memories there and it was such a perfect place and when you live in London, it's so difficult to find any decent accommodation..
Mimi, I love and adore you. So I say with love that you interrupt Alex soooooo much!!! It's frustrating.
When Mimi called 'Alexa! You want to come say hello?' to the camera, my Amazon Echo responded: 'Sorry, I'm not sure.' 😂
New memories to be made in your new place! 💕
