I don't get DCT criticism. DSG/S-Tronic should be crisper than a converter ZF, although not as supple at very slow speeds and parking. The upside should really be: feel the gears not being "torque slipped in".
Yh this is something you drive to the beach or on a sunday with a very small family, would never daily this. I have a 2023 and I just passed this on the road so I checked it out, never knew they came in this variant.

I had one and sold it, since than I regret it :-( Now I am thinking either to buy a new RS3 or again the S3 convertible.
