- Holi is a festival of colors celebrated in the spring by Hindus, and Local Guides Himanshi and Rahul traveled to Mathura last year to take part in the city's festivities. Mathura is a special place to be during the holiday because it's considered the birthplace of the Hindu deity Krishna. A very bad thing Google Local Guides has done is the possibility to add photos only for locations / objects. Previously you could add photo or 360 to any spot on the map. Would be great to get this feature back. How do you thing guys?

i have a question....why do people think Krishna was blue....Lord Krishna was described as Shyam-Varna as in dark complexioned...or Ghana-Shayam as in dark as clouds.....in my mind he was always depicted as dark skinned just like Draupadi who was called "Krishnaa"...as in dark skinned like Krishna.....and both were revered as beauties in ancient literature....i guess it is racism and discrimination towards dark skinned people that in media he was refered as blue colour and draupadi's complexion was forgotten even more.......from what i've seen most people think so because paintings depicted him blue....thats only because in painting one could not see facial expressions in black and it didnt seem too good....so they replaced it with dark blue which was similar and gave a sense of otherworldy godlike figure because of impossible complexion....i just wish people would recognise this.....

Gentle lady you didn't have much information about holi u were saying that Krishna was in Blue so nobody like him so they spread colour to each other it's a totally false , I give youfact that when Holika burnt in fire and Prahalad was safe who actually sit on along with Holika , Holika burnt completely nd Prahlad was safe in in this occasion they spread colour to each other and show Love
