Amazing trek. Your video inspires me a lot. Could you please let me know exactly the days you did the hike? I also planning to visit Georgia in october this year but worry about the rain.
That's awesome! We hiked from Mestia to Ushguli between 15th-18th of Oct 2018. We obviously had perfect weather but from what I've read October can be prone to heavy snow fall so I'd try to trek in early Oct if possible. Glad I could inspire you, have an amazing trek!!!
Georgia is such an underrated and beautiful country! beautifully shot! love the taxi driver at the end not taking no for an answer whilst you filmed! Classic!
Now that is most definitley a lesser travelled part of the world!! I've heard of the beauty and culture on offer in Georgia, such a wonderful country! I didn't realise it had so many gorgeous hiking trails though! It seems like a great hidden gem to explore!
PS. Just saw this video is over a year old. I can't believe you put out this quality content and haven't hit 1000 yet. People are crazy, you deserve more subs.
Personally, I'd just show up and stay where looks good. I trekked a few months after you and it was dead quiet. With covid and the whole Russia thing I can't imagine Georgia being overly busy right now, but who knows. Have a safe trek!
Incredibly well done brotha everything from the video quality to editing is impeccable. Just an added bonus that I'm in Tblisi for a month so I'll be able to trek to Mestia. Cheers!
@@IntrepidRoad Always, keep up the great work! I'm curious on the towns in between hiking where you found for bnb's, did you identify the town before hand and book a room when you got there or was it mostly on the fly where you just check the room and book if you find it proper?
@@InvestGlobal We booked on the fly in all instances and were approached by locals most of the time. All of the towns seemed quite similar, however, we did shop around in Mestia and Ushguli as there was a high degree of variance between the quality of accommodation there. Mestia is remarkable, highly recommend shopping around and finding a nice place to base yourself out of for a few days
hey! I live in LA, and I really want to get out there and go somewhere just... completely opposite from LA (beautiful, desolate, rural, culture shock, etc) I want to do it alone, and I'm 17. Georgia looks beautiful, but I'm worried about organizing all the buses and stuff. I also don't want to miss out and just stay in my airbnb the whole time bc I don't know where to go. Do you have any tips/advice? Doesn't have to be Georgia
I'd wait until you're at least 18. South East Asia & Western Europe are good places to start as they're quite safe generally speaking. After that you could try something more adventurous like Nepal. Good luck with it!
Ever since I had a Georgian meal in Budapest I have been wanting to visit this country. The topography looks dynamic! What a hell of a trek! Love the cinematography. What camera and lens do you use? Some absolutely stunning views! Awesome vid
@@IntrepidRoad That is awesome, I already noticed her last name. I was born in Bergen op Zoom, but I studied in Utrecht! Currently I'm living in Nijmegen with my s/o in a great eco community. The food in the beginning looked delicious, but those views!!! You guys are so adventurous!
Can't wait to go back one day!! It's worth mentioning the food on the trek was seriously amazing.

Hi, I'm considering to hike in Georgia in mid-Oct. I would like to ask if you went in early/mid/late Oct? The weather looks very sunny~
Yes, we had perfect weather and hiked mid-Oct
It'd be so cool to get to visit here someday!
You definitely should, it's very underrated
Looking good! Do you reckon to book overnight stays during the hike in advance? We're planing to do this in August :)
