Remember this. The Vaishnavas or devotees of Lord Krishna who follow ISKCON in over 100 countries DO NOT like to be called Hindus. Our spiritual tradition is Vedic or Sanatana Dharma. ISKCON was established in Moscow in 1971 when Srila Prabhupada came here with his American disciples. The movement remained underground during the Soviet era. There is some freedom now and the Hare Krishna movement has spread to even small towns all across Russia and Ukraine. Thousands attend grand annual Rath Yatra and Janamastami (India) festivals in Moscow and other towns of Russia. Sadly though, the powerful Russian Orthodox church is still strongly blocking the construction of a very grand Sri Krishna temple designed to be built just outside Moscow and another in St Petersburg. There are Govinda vegetarian restaurants everywhere in Russia and Europe.

Beautiful temple...everything seemed so Indian out there. It's really impressive how they have set up the store and canteen too for the devotees and guests. The Russian ladies in the saree looked beautiful 😍 Wonderful how foreigners are accepting our attires while we are accepting their's 😊I have seen some foreigners in India too accepting the Indian culture and religion. It looks different but that's how religion works I believe. The heart wants what it wants.
Found a striking feature that they still have the Christian names while they have accepted Hinduism. Similarly, there are some Indians who have accepted Christianity with Indian names too. That's something interesting to me 😊

There are only 3 gods in higher level... mid level gods like Hanuman ji who was god himself but devotee of sri ram(Vishnu)... lower level gods like Indra surya, chandra... some sadhus who got enlightenment are also considered as Lower level gods... We're sanatan dharm we don't believes in 1 god... Sri Krishna said 'God is in you, in animals and nature'... we can become god by bhakti, doing tapshya... to reach highest level, you'll need very high level devotion that's not possible in current yug(Kali yug)... very few people can achieve this...

The way he's astonished led me to think that when one is in the unknown, even a grain of rice will appear to have many chapters to them. One doesn't leave their religion and adopt others' religion just "because". They do it after consideration and learning. It's simply what Guru Srila Prabhupad worked hard for, to spread the holy name of Lord Krsna to Western society as he was asked by his Guru Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur. Prabhupad has done an exceptional job of translating our scriptures, the book Srimad Bhagvatam, as it is. Could you even begin to imagine how hard it was to translate that vast amount of text word for word? It was enough for tons of questions and curiosity to arise. When Prabhupad came to New York City in the 70s via cargo ship, after enduring a massive heart attack and barely any money with him, he worked so hard to spread the knowledge of the Gita. Today, Iskcon has 650 temples around the world, where they are all following the teachings of his Great Divine grace Acharya Bhakti Srila Prabhupad.
I hope that this gives you something to learn from, so that you're not nearly as shocked to find a person wearing a Saree.

Krishna is the ultimate god, and i recognize that even though my love will forerever be to Shiva first, my bholenath. But its so, i dont even have words, to see the humanity across nations seeing what Hindu dharma is.....and we never had to wage wars, conquer others to make them see the truth either....thats the ultimate proof too. I lead my life by logic and believe staunchly that the government has no business being involved in any religiousness...the separation of state and religion is a must and the only way to progress in this material world.....spirituality is very personal and different to each human......that is enough......truth shall prevail at last for sure and seemingly, its happening now.
