    THANK YOU for your honesty about your disappointment about your course! It was honestly SO relatable. Having content or ideas not be a big hit (or as big as you'd like) can be so difficult and also low key embarrassing 😕. So again, THANK YOU 🖤

    Katie,
    When you do a video like this, sharing real feelings and honest results you are demonstrating a trait that will not only attract followers...but will build raving fans. That trait is authenticity.. Those who only brag about unbelievable results, do not have that and the sugar high of a burst of followers will ultimately fade away because none of us can survive on candy alone. You do great work, you share honest content, and these are two reasons why you already are successful...and why your success will continue to grow. Great job!!

    So appreciate your honestly about expectations/results. And you’re right, no one wants to talk about it (like you, I completely understand why), so it’s really refreshing that you’re bringing it up! Love your content Katie! ☺️

    Launching messes with your mind when you don’t know what to expect! Doing a launch debrief is so helpful and there’s reasonable numbers to landmark do that you can set realistic expectations!

    I'm a full-time content creator as well juggling my family and 2 puppies and it's not easy , 3 days in a week I'd be so hyper and energized to create content then afterwards I'd crash and just want to hide myself... then my Filmora editor freezes and I'm thinking it's a sign, I need to just recover and get back up ... the struggles are real

      If you are a full-time content creator, why don't you create 3 days and fill yourself up the rest of the time. Full-time channel but creating the 3 days with energy... Or you work 5 days only, maximum of 5 hours a day. If it is so draining you need to change something not to become sick...

    As someone who is considering a content creator journey rather late in life, I am finding your insights very useful. From the initial concept of just sitting down with an iphone and a ringlight and chatting about things themes I am passionate about and hoping for the best to an understanding of how social media works and what it takes to be a successful creator. And those factors go beyond just the technical aspects, which can be learned rapidly to dealing with personal expectations. Thank you so much for the valuable content you provide to the likes of myself.

    It’s funny you talk about balance. I’ve been on UA-cam for about a year now and have just taken a step back to get the balance. I’m still only at 616 subscribers and was really pushing myself to make 3 videos a week to try and make it to 1k subscribers. But……it was making me feel so overwhelmed (because I work too) that it just didn’t feel fun anymore.
    Again though, most advice out there is to push on regardless! I’ve now come to the conclusion that taking time back is a good thing, you need to look after you first and the rest afterwards. I hope you are enjoying you vacation 🥰

    I really relate to having high expectations and being disappointed if they're not met. My business coach taught me something really powerful early on working with her. You can't control the outcome, but you can control your output. If you know you did your absolute best when it comes to something, be content with that. You can't control how many people actually buy. You can only control your discipline, quality, and integrity during the making and marketing so that you know your output was 100%. That has really helped me a lot in focusing on what I can control and being better about letting go of expectations about how something might perform.

    I LOVE these talks Katie! I'm at the same point with my UA-cam and content creation business(this is my personal account I have a other UA-cam channel with 20K for coaching/business/financr) but I've had a course launch and my expectations vs. results was very different as well. I found that my funnel strategy was not good and had to tweak it. I did onlyemail marketing on my first quote unquote 'failed' launch and then I made a webinar where people would start with the webinar, get one week of emails after to claim the discounted deal if they watched the whole webinar. The second run with the webinar + email marketing increased my conversion rate to over 12% (it used to be at around 5%) and now I have 100 new members at a $375 course each month for this new evergreen funnel. I am doubling my pricing soon and am relaunching with this strategy + more email subscribers so I'm trying to lower my expectations this time around haha!

    • @katie
      @katie  Рік тому +2

      thank you so much for sharing that!! i'm now starting to think about evergreen marketing and I think the whole webinar to email funnel makes so much sense... I just need to think about how I can execute on an evergreen plan like that in a way that feels authentic to me 🤔

    • @alaska271
      @alaska271 Рік тому

      @@katie I was in the same boat! Webinars feel very salesy and I tried a few where I wasn't giving much content and it felt inauthentic. Those webinars did not work- I got a few to 0 sales each time. Then I decided to load my webinar with content that would help my audience if they bought from me or did not so that felt authentic to me and my subscribers/followers on my platforms. That's the webinar that gets 1 sales for every 10 attendees and your audience can really tell the difference/ will be more willing to support you or buy when you make a webinar that serves your audience, is authentic and connects. This is just some random unsolicited advice though from a mysterious content creator LOL I'm not trying to sell any program or process, just giving my own experience and results.
