  • Whether you work in the cybersecurity business, or are a business that uses Cybersecurity services, you're going to want to watch this 9 minute video on what I think the future of Cybersecurity looks like now that AI is here. I share some revelations on the good aspects will be, as well as the aspects that will harm us, and how we might protect ourselves from cyber threats in the future.

It's hard to trust AI when it hallucinates so much. Obviously this will improve over the next decade, but it's useless to me until then.
BTW, try to generate an image of a vintage computer with Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, etc. You can't! They didn't include the Apple II, IBM PC, etc. in their training sets, so what you get as a result is a Cronenberg nightmare.

Yes as I pointed out in the negatives, trust is going to be a long road, much of that due to hallucination. Remember, however, that specialist AI software is being made now that has very specific training data models that can and do significantly reduce hallucinations and provide powerful results in their tools area, such as cybersecurity, for example.
Re the vintage computer image, I tried that exact thing too a while back! It's hilarious!!

@@AlsGeekLab I am not feeling much trust; here in Australia we had a scandal called "robodebt". Algorithms were used to decide who had been paid too much welfare money. Letters were sent to the wrong people. Result: a word that would get you demonetized s___e.

@@musicalneptunian I heard about that robodebt issue recently. That was terrible. As I say in the video, AI is a tool, not a solution in its own right. If you let it run loose, you will always run the risks that are inherent with hallucination or as I say, garbage in: garbage out. Humans still need to make the appropriate checks and balances otherwise these things will sadly continue to happen. I don't see a way that AI could advance to the point where it is autonomous without potential of error.
