@@polaroid9026but I think you’d agree that combat and visuals is not the point of an rpg. An action rpg sure but not an rpg. RPGs are about the story and dialogue far more than the gameplay. That’s why people still play origins despite how dated the gameplay is. So I think it’s fair to say veilguard is a shit rpg. If they cut most of the dialogue and plot and just called it an action rpg it would be a terrific success
Within a day, Veilguard is in the number 2 position on Steam's top-selling games, and 70,000 concurrent players aren't enough to generate $100 million in revenue. Financially, it's going to be a failure. Only the name 'Dragon Age' is drawing the handful of players to the game.
@@christophgartner5437 The only mental exercise these chuds get is the mental gymnastics and constant moving of the goalposts they do. Before the game released it was going to do super badly and everyone would hate it. That didn't happen. Reviews were positive. So then they claimed that nobody would buy it. That didn't happen. One of the best sellers on Steam. So now they're claiming 70,000 players is bad and a game needs at least $100 MILLION to be considered a success? Ahahaha. Sure, lets ignore the fact that "70,000 players" is only for Steam, that its not only being sold on Steam (can buy it from EA and Epic Store), and that PC players are in the minority (more people play on consoles). Then add in the fact that if we're calling for $100 MILLION to be financially successful, no Dragon Age, based on Steam sales alone, has been financially successful. Dragon Age Inquisition made about $9 million from Steam sales. Dragon Age 2 made under $1.5 million. Strange then, seeing as they've made 4 Dragon Age games so far - its almost like they HAVE been financially successful. One day these chuds are going to realise that they are in a minority. A loud minority that supplements itself with trolls and bots, but a minority none the less. And game companies aren't going to bother making products for a minority of a minority.

@@volourn9764 To be fair I don't think they consider all games with progressive elements 'woke'.
