He was a teenager, non-professional, and was asked to fill in AT A REHEARSAL with Celine Dion for Andrei Bocelli who couldn't make it. It was his first time singing with a professional singer -- Celine of all people!

Actually with her being the higher voice and cutting off after the lower voice it just shows how egotistical she is. It ruins the resonance and makes whats left over shrill instead because she sings over the overtones if the low notes.

His music was a respite from the tumultuous noisy songs of that generation, and I have been a fan eversince

I don't think there's anyone that actually compares to Josh groban. There is a woman Sarah something maybe McLaughlin that has a really beautiful voice but Celine Dion's is not that great to me. Even Enya is so much better than Celine dion. Celine Dion pushes her voice and doesn't have a full roundness like Josh Groban does and I think the same for Sarah and Enya.
Check out how he's developed into a wonderful Broadway star in "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812" His performance of "Dust and Ashes" is my favorite on the soundtrack.
Her control is magnificent. She could easily drown him out but, she compliments his range then adds flair as he fades out. Beautiful! Ms. Streisand is my favorite but, the talent Ms.Dion has is beyond imagination. A real Pro.
Josh was and always been the artist that people missed out on. What he was able to do, the amount of luck he had, and the guts to even ask to be a stand in which turned out to lead him into the professional singer status will always be a moment for the TV was made for. It really sucks now that no one has a clue to who he is a crime in itself. He still has a number 1 hit song and no one can take that away from him
That run was completely unnecessary and took away from the duet. She’s competing with him instead of singing with him. He’s singing with emotion and she’s showing off vocals.
