Var din far med i De' Våras - EFS's svar på Manhattan Transfer?!? Jag minns dem väl från min barndoms 80-tal (uppvuxen i rörelsen) och har ibland undrat vad som blev av gruppen.

Hi, Simon. Beautiful harmonizing. Can you give us the group's history? Were you involved with them? Who transcribed the Hi-Lo's arrangement? I remember it well? Where were they performing? Thanks.

I'm Simon's father and the baritone of the group. The alto is Simon's mother. The group was formed in 1975, so we had been around for thirteen years when this was recorded. The groups that were influential to us when we started in 1975 were The Anita Kerr singers, The Manhattan Transfer and of course The Hi-Lo's and The Singers Unlimited. It took 10 years before we learnt about The Real Group, which we immediately took to our hearts, of course. "So nice to hear young people taking an interest in this style", we thought.

Tenor being Bengt Burström, a childhood friend of mine, and the soprano is Ingela Lundmark a childhood friend of my wife's. I found the published arrangement in 1982 while on tour with an other vocal group in the midwest. Found it in a huge music store in Minneapolis along with Puerlings arrangements of "Button up your overcoat", "Rocking Chair", and "Small Fry".
