Travis, Nick, and Teddy are amazing dancers, but when I first saw Lex on stage mirroring Travis, I was blown away. He had such amazing fluidity and stage presence, and that's saying a lot when someone can take your eyes away from Travis Wall when he's on stage. Lex, you are a gem and will go far. Travis, you did an amazing job choreographing and staging this brilliant show.
Everything about this piece is absolute perfection! Two best male dancers of our generation (in my opinion), song choice, story, choreography (Travis Wall is a creative genius). UGH. Incredible.
Just watched Lex Ishimoto's SYTYCD audition and came to UA-cam immediately to check out Shaping Sound. What an incredible dancer that's clearly evident in this duet with Travis Wall. Just WOW. So excited to see what's in store for him on the show!!

Saw the show a couple of days ago in Mississauga, Canada. This was the most beautiful, poignant, riveting and clever dance storytelling I have ever seen in my life. This dance was one of my favourites, but ALL of it was just incredible - the set, the music, the DANCERS!!! I’m obsessed. ♥️
i was introduced to shaping sound through this piece in SYTYCD and immediately wanted to see it live. it came for one night only in my city, and i got to watch it. i will gladly admit i was crying by the end of this piece 😭❤️
I was lucky enough to see this performance live. I was already a huge fan of Travis and Lex already, but nothing could have prepared me for what these two unworldly talented men brought to the stage. I was breathless, crying, and overwhelmed. They are BEASTS. Bravo. 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻

it's been a month since i saw this show. i can honestly say that i think it's changed my life. i cried through the entire show, and upon finishing it, realized that i will spend my whole life striving to make something that will come close to what i had just seen on that stage. i realized that there is nothing i would rather do with my life than dance. not a single day goes by that i haven't thought about this show. on the hard days at dance, it's become my guiding light. it is my inspiration to keep doing what i love, and the standard that i will hold myself to for the rest of my life.
ive seen this show in person, and seeing it now up close, I get to view even more beauty than before. now, i see the emotion, fluidity, and pure talent even closer.
I’m so mad I’m just seeing this ! Idek what I just watched like I seen literally over a billion dances dancers and videos but this was freaking outstanding ! I’m amazedddd ❤️ lex and Travis did the damn thing ! Travis can still dance is ass off as well as choreograph ! This is brilliant !!
This is such a powerful piece the intensity in the movement and emotion is palpable. Be interesting to see how they've adapted it for the SYTYCD finale.
I love the story that I made up for this dance. Travis has an evil side and the evil comes into his life and tries to persuade travis to let the evil stay. But in the middle of his life he considers letting the evil in but after awhile he figures that the best thing to do for his and others sake is to get rid of the evil by dragging himself down with it and the evil realizes his plan so he tries to not let travis throw the evil back into the mirror and kill himself.
I absolutely loved this the first time I saw this during the sytycd finale and watching this version of the dance has me giddy! I love both versions! Travis and Lex are so amazing!
The "mirror" scenes were amazing! I was also blown away by the paper section and the hand lights parts! Travis, Nick, and the entire cast of Shaping Sound are incredible dancers AND actors! The entire "After the Curtain" program is phenomenally mind blowing. This is a must see show!
We went to jubilee auditorium as a field trip with my dance class. It was such a great performance! Thanks to my teacher for having us go to that field trip

I swear the god this was the most captivating and genious shit I've ever seen in my entire damn life! Travis you are a GENİOUS!! That choreograpy tho, that idea tho!! Who comes out with this shit? And when? And why? Y'all are my dads and biggest dance idols and inspirations (I know I say it a lot but now probably for the first time I literally mean it) the connection between y'all was mind blowing and your talents slayed my whole existence. Damn!
