I bought 45022 Lytham St.Annes as I remember her sat at Manchester Victoria during the last days of the Peaks on the final day of operation. I'm sure I still have a photo of 45022 from those days too.
I am a dedicated GWR and WR modeller. In my opinion railways ceased to exist when green diesels were withdrawn ( I think that blue livery looks shoddy). I have what are now called class 44, 45 and 46 all in green. They work very well ( one Mainline and 2 Bachmann). Who on earth could possibly want this blue stuff? I also model analogue - cannot stand the noise some models now produce - I have ear defenders ready for the return of exhibitions. Having said all that Topley Dale, West Coast Cement and Twelve Trees are definitely among my favourite layouts. I look forward to your videos. Long may you continue to produce them.
Hi great looking loco.Grimy Times did a,good job on weathering it. Is there a problem with shipping out the magazine to subscribers as I am still waiting for the March 2021 issue165 a week late.Cheers
Hi Richard, Issue 165 should have arrived by now. If you can email with your subscription number: orders@keypublishing.com They'll be-able to process another for you. Kind regards Richard
Never understood this fascination for sound on OO gauge locos. It at the very best sounds shite, like hearing some music somebody else is playing through their headphones, to what can only be described as tinnitus. A gauge 1 class 20 with a massive speaker in it sounds just about acceptable, but still a bit gimmicky.
I'm not keen on the "sealed beam" lights. They don't have the correct convex lenses and they're *WAY* too bright. The originals glowed with what looked like 60 watt bulbs.

Sealed beam Class 45 at last, long overdue! Great job Grimy Times, I never saw a clean Class 45 in service so I’ll be ordering mine....extra grimy!
Grimey Times always good. Gone to them a few times with my steam locos.

Lytham St.Annes was a regular visitor to Bedford, even though it was not ETH fitted.

I think it comes down to personal preference as I like sound fitted locos for the extra realism and I like the blue diesels
Looking very at home on the Topley Dale layout. Nice model.

It's personal preference at the end of the day imo
Nice but i m not keen on the big gap between bufferbeams and the body at the front.
The loco wouldn't be able to go up non-scale inclines you get on layouts without that as the boggies are so long.
Great video
Great looking loco
Cab lighting?
i dont think there is

I thought that. I remember them with a yellow tint not bright white.
Easily sorted......
