Absolutely brilliant Dan! These are the types of tourist attractions that should be promoted in Japan. The owner will never restore them to museum quality. Selling them off one by one would destroy the impact of displaying them all together in their natural state. Let this gentleman make a decent living for the hard work and sacrifice he's obviously done!
notice the West Australian rego sticker on the *T150 Carina which expired in 2007. What a great museum . That Toyopet truck, restored burgandy one with the wood frame, absolutley love it. I would own in a heartbeat.
The Unicab was one I'd been hoping to spot for a while. And, there're still more obscure cars to show from this museum. Hopefully, I'll publish them later this month
Yes. Actually, caused an issue for me because there were kids sitting in a bunch of cars with in the main building. I was cool with it. Just had to circle back a few times. Lol
@@wasabicars right... photo permission issues. If you ever find a Nissan Patrol 4w61 (56-57) over there let me know... I have one in Canada but have never come across evidence of one in Japan.
the Circle with the CH was or is the Country identifier in Europe for Swiss Registered Vehicles. Like DE is German and F is for France, CH is for Switzerland
I'm absolutely gobsmacked Dan, what a place! I love how it looks nothing like you expect a 'museum' to look and is all the better for it. Great work fella!
Now that´s very interesting! Yes I immediatelly recognized the Junior. ☺ Never seen the Matchbox one. Not sure but the other one could also be a Junior. 🤔 Really not sure. It´s not a Patrol FH60 that one is more square. Those Glorias man! CH stands for Switzerland. But why it´s on there? I dunno. That Toyopet small pickup could be post-war like the old Datsuns that were made with wood parts because after the war many resources were scarce. And they just produced the pre-war ones after the war for a time. Japanese licence plate for oversees use? Diplomatic car? And the end isn´t bad either! I´d love to see more from this museum!
That Toyota Carina is incredibly interesting!, I went on the wayback machine to see the website stated on the car. You can actually see some of the progress of the car through the early 2000s and its story. Unfortunately most of the photos on the website weren't archived :(
I'm thinking there'll be two more videos from this place. Passenger cars inside the museum, then of the passenger cars outside the museum. Some epics cars yet to show, I swear
I didn't know you collect old castle posters!!! The more you know about good old Daniel 😁 omg man sorry for being gone so long!!! I've got so much to catch up 😄 i hope everything is going great Daniel I loved this video by the way, so many obscure vehicles!! I'm so shocked
Thanks for the info. Have you happened to have messaged me on Instagram on the topic of bonnet buses? Someone has of course. Just would like to establish if it's the same person
I havent watched the whole video yet, but im gonna have to come back, the toyota fa115 truck (green one) is the petrol version of the da115 that i have here in australia 😁

Oh! I missed the Aussie rego sticker. Just found out the Toyopet is a Type SB truck from late 1940's
Wonderful to learn more of cars and eras i know nothing about.
I Like the Isuzu Unicab.
08:32 Wood Gas powered vehicles are fascinating

I was there in 2013. One of my favourite museums because they encouraged you to sit in some of the cars.

"Wood. Wood. Wow!" and "Whu, what? You ok?" This is what makes this channel my favorite. Spot on you crazy car nut.
I'm not ok. Lol 😂
This has definitely got to be my fave recent episode in a long good while.
Yeah? Cool. Was it because the vehicles were on the obscure side, or the editing, or something like that?
I would love to see more from that museum!
Oh, there shall be more. I'm thinking two, 10 minute-long videos remaining from this museum 👍
I love that old obscure stuff! 🇯🇵
Cheers. Me too

Ah! Thank you :)
Love the Nissan Onevia parked next to your Kei car
Ha! I just double checked my photos from the day. Only got a photo of the rear 1/4, with my car in front. Ah well
The fire truck is a first generation Nissan Junior. 40 series.
Cheers. Thank you

The Mazda truck at 1:18 were available in Australia in the late 70’s early 80’s as a relative of mine had one
Aw, nice. I actually think now that I must have seen a few of them in Oz over the years
Wow, lots of stuff here!
Yep, and still more to come. Likely, two more 10+ minute-long videos from here

Oh, the wayback machine!! I've used it a couple times. Cool that they archived the Carina site
My mate has a Mazda bus and Isuzu ELF that would fit right into that museum.
Both rusted to heck? 😂😂😂 Love it!
that toyopet, damn it look so cool
Right?! Just had to do some googling. Turns out it's a Toyopet SB Truck. Post war, as you might imagine
Is that a pyrolysis reactor on the back of that bus man if so they way ahead of the curve!!
Nah, charcoal gas... thingy. Much older tech
Yes, please show us more of this place.
What the heck is a Tokusan??
I'm thinking there'll be two more videos from this place. Passenger cars inside the museum, then of the passenger cars outside the museum. Some epics cars yet to show, I swear
The sticker CH means confederation helvetic, Switzerland. Great video btw

Forgive my pronunciation. I collect old Japanese castle postcards. The reason is because so many castle buildings didn't survive the 2nd world war.
The Isuzu Bus is called the BX series, the traditional bonnet trucks are TX series.

@@wasabicars watched it all now, didnt see it shown again 😅 i agree though great museum
“One of those owners” we would always call them a “Billy Bolt-on”
Ha! That is hilarious ;-) I have certainly came across a few in my time.
Added to maps!
Definitely a good idea
cool :)
Arigato 👍
The Popular.... Is a Ford Popular aka Ford Pop.
Ah! First me hearing about this one. Cheers
What was on the rear of that open top Toyota bus,Dan? Some sort of generator ? Steam powered?
Wood gasifier...
Hmm... Looks to be the same set up as the one at @8:30 though more compact. That's me guessing though
