So if you use the 3.3v on the Arduino you will not need to do voltage divider? What if you plug the BT into the the RX and TX port instead of the pin 11, 10. Will this make a difference?

U need a voltage divider like the hc05. I 1k and 2k ohm resistors on the arduino TX to HC-xx rx pin because the arduino is talking at 5v signals

HM 10 Bluetooth Module Support only 3.3 V logic level so you not connect Bluetooth Module RX pin direct to Arduino because arduino uno support 5V logic level . It damage Bluetooth Module. You need Voltage divider.

When I'm trying to connect to the bluetooth it says "Pairing rejected by HMSoft". AT commands are not working either. What do you think the problem is? Thanks
