Yes! So, if you catch schooling fish and leave them on land for around 7 minutes they start to rot and when you eat rotten food as a deino you get the nutrient that it would've given you if the food was on your diet, which in the case of schooling fish would be carbohydrates or "dots" as most people like to call it.
For future refernece , i wouldnt ignore the bottom 4 mutations you get at 2nd mutation slot, they ONLY appear for the 2nd slot, specifically Gastronomic regen and Metabolic Incantation would be pretty good on deino, but traumatic thrombosis would save you in a long fight with a raptor as a carno

But in the moment of picking the mutation the thought of how large a body I'd need for gastro to actually be useful was enormous 🤣deino takes big bites and I'm afraid that a smaller body won't suffice when trying to get all that health back. As for Hypermetabolic, I don't particularly find it THAT useful on deino since it has the best biteforce out of all the carnivores, and even when fighting other deinos, I can't imagine it being much of a make or break since most of the time I fight as deino its usually underwater which opens more space for me to dodge and play tactically rather than trading bites on land.
I’ve had this happen to me many times, to prevent the elite fish swallowing you, dash in their direction with right click and it’ll freak them out, then you can enjoy a well deserved meal
Do you have any ideas why when you grabbed that carno it dropped him for no reason ? It keeps happening to me way to often even though I hold my right mouse button and don’t run.
@@tehking-1750 honestly I think it could be desync or some type of lag, also could be that I was too low on stamina to execute a full grab. Either way I’m not too sure 🤷♂️
You should be careful fighting ceras on land, a skilled cera will put a lot of pressure on and if you're not careful with your stamina you might find yourself desperately crawling back to the water as they chomp your tail.
I have Deino deaths on my mind sooo hard right now. Dead in west rail to another gator on arrival!? why that guy there. Why did I even leave the south west plains.! soooo many deaths after soooo many hours and most times, also after about 7 hours of real life grow time. Deino is such a hardand stupid life. I hate it. But i play it. Watching others experience the same pain and joy of the Deino life, on this unfinished, stupid lame game....... it helps bro. I dont know why I log in anymore
I enjoyed the video for the most part, my only complaint is the twitch streamer speech pattern i hear everyone with these days is like nails on a chalkboard (Bro, chat, is he cooked? etc, etc everywhere like a cancer) but that's probably me getting old.

The schooling fish and elites spawn by the DAM only, where most go to get Saltwater Mutation. It’s right next to fresh water so I think they kinda bug and spawn on the saltwater side too. Never seen fish spawn anywhere else in saltwater
@@Sir_William101 no it’s just part of the eating animation and also if you’re big enough to carry a body you can hold left click and shake your mouse to roll and it will drop the organs from the body you’re holding for some extra nutritious organs!
