Wushu was demonstrated in the 1936 Berlin Olympics way back at the time of Hitler. Wushu being the oldest and perhaps the origin of other martial arts of Asia, its high time that Wushu be included in the Olympics.
Wushu won't be in the olympics, because it'll just put all the other competition to shame. It is, after all, the origin of the rest. How can they compete with that? :)
It is good to be proud of what you do. But in that Process we shouldn't dominate other martial arts. Because It is not the martial art that is superior but the artist himself.
Tai_Chi and Wu-Shu are the ULTIMATE in any martial art,you cannot go any higher than these two,if you do than it would be esoteric/unknown to the Western audience.I am a Practitioner of Shaolin and Tai kek Quen now almost 50 years so i speak with Authority on these issues.How strange,that the Japanese and Korean styles owe so much of their Roots to China for its martial traditions,but still China IS left out.Like everything else DENIED to Humanity this just another example of the continuing Prejudices still Prevalent among us,we must RID our Societies of these type of People who CENSURE THE TRUTH,before they deny us even more what we have a right to know and learn with enjoyment.Thats how we grow together and appreciate each other.
Gosh I hate modern wushu so much, they destroy traditional styles. Only reason you have modern wushu is just because chairman Mao was so afraid of real wushu , so afraid a martial artist would kill him so he forbidden people to practice wushu and later introduced this empty shell with no fali, no neigong.

If you don't see the difference then there is nothing I can say that makes you understand why people hate modern wushu. There is no internal power what so ever. They just make an external style out of it. Sure it looks nice but there is nothing inside.

Wushu will come in Olympic by 2020. How can they compete? It's just like Diving and Gymnastics. Gaining points by looking at their technique.

Please protect "combat" Wuhu, or "Original" Wushu.
