  • The Algemesí Symphonic Band performs "Melody" by Myroslav Skoryk's, arranged by Eduardo Nogueroles, in the Partner and Partner Concert held on February 11 in the Municipal Theater of Algemesí.
Melody is a musical composition by Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk. Composed for the 1982 Soviet war film "Vysokyy pereval", it has a simple structure consisting of an opening theme, a short development section and a modified repeat of the original theme.
It was originally recorded for flute and piano, but has since been arranged for many other instrumentations. Melody is Skoryk's most popular work and is frequently performed in concert, including in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Known for its melodic beauty and ability to convey a positive message, Melody has become a musical symbol of peace in the turbulent times we are living in.
