  • Lisa Gade reviews the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, available on T-Mobile in the US. This is basically the OnePlus 7 Pro with some enhancements from the 7T (Snapdragon 855+ CPU, Warp 30T faster charging) with support for low band sub-6 5G on T-Mobile’s new 600MHz band and a Qualcomm X55 modem. It also supports Sprint’s mid-band LTE, which will further improve data speeds if the T-Mobile-Sprint merger completes. Thanks to our Sponsor, LinkIt and their IP Buddy Security camera. Check it out using our link bit.ly/34w68WG and use the code MTR10 to get a free SD card and 10% off. T-Mobile claims nationwide 5G coverage on their newly launched network, and this phone is among the most affordable 5G phones at $899. As ever, it has an excellent 90Hz AMOLED 3120 x 1440 display, triple rear cameras, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and a pop-up selfie camera.

    • @cpufrost
      @cpufrost 4 роки тому

      @@oliicole Providers are pushing FTTH for a good reason. Newer routers that are included will include a mmwave bridge (think femtocell) so 5G works in homes and businesses and will have a localized backhaul to a fast fiber connection. Really no different than what Comcast (Xfinity) is doing now with their modems that have xfinity wifi built in. Except this will work with phones directly with no input from users needed. The obvious downside to all this is increased power consumption and seriously decreased battery life.

    I've been with T-Mobile since 3g/hspa was the norm and it's amazing just how much their Network has improved over time. There are places just recently I couldn't even get a signal & now it's no problem. I just wanted to say hi, thanks, & take care. In my opinion, the one plus is one of the nicest devices released this year & especially that edition. Thx

    7 pro cases do not work on the 7t McLaren because the McLaren edition has a sensor off the left of the cameras where the 7pro has it in line with the cameras..

    Gonna buy mine today. I'm right at the limit of where T-Mobile service reaches into Mexico with 600Mhz(1 bar and unless I manually select Tmo it auto swaps to Mexican providers). I'm hoping this will give usable signal with 5G. I'm home a lot and 2 miles from the border so it'd be nice.
    Not that the unlimited international isn't free but I'd rather not connect to a Mexican network if I don't have to
