Personally for a sequel. Here’s what I see. I think we might see more of the connection with Mario and Peach, as he slowly gets used to the mushroom kingdom. Also with bowser returning, it might open the door to see what other worlds to explore. I can also see more of the bonding between Mario and Luigi. Finally for new characters, I know we’ll see Yoshi, and if we see them we might see birdo sense she’s from the second game. Lastly I could see Wario and Waluigi in the sequel acting as powerful henchmen or a second antagonist to Mario. I doubt we’ll see Rosalina, since she’s more of a massive story, like maybe a third one, but possibly Daisy for character development for Luigi.
As for Wario and Waluigi, I reckon we can mock the latter for the fact that Nintendo seems to completely ignore him, just like how they did him bad when he was rejected from joining the Smash brawls. I think we can take that and implement it into his character; a middle child of the family (Wario's only seen as a friend, not a chubby sibling here). Waluigi can be seen as a man with a multitude of talents like being an painter, a dancer, et cetera. As for Wario, he has known Waluigi since his amusement waterpark failed to attract summer-goers. He could be, like in the WarioWare series, running a video game company of his own, with Waluigi as his financer. Perhaps a rivalry between Waluigi and Luigi for Daisy's affection.
I don't see that many characters appearing in the sequel. Waluigi fans need to stop.
What I want to see:
The second movie features Mario vs Wario and has Luigi’s Mansion as a B-plot. King Boo has captured Daisy instead of Mario. Wario and King Boo are both working for Tatanga, who we are told about at the beginning so he doesn’t wind up a giant space flea from nowhere. Sometimes a Pixl appears in a crowd scene, just so we can establish that they exist.
The third movie brings in Count Bleck and Dimentio as the villains. Rosalina and her observatory take the place of Merlon/Nolrem and Flipside/Flopside. Wario returns and is alongside Waluigi this time, but they don’t play any more of a role than Jessie and James do in the average Pokémon movie.
That’d be a perfect end to the series, but there HAS to be a fourth one, take Superstar Saga and replace the Bean Star with Dark Star to compress the plot.

Ok I know this would never happen but like- I’d love to see a cinematic retelling of super paper Mario. Bleck and timpani’s story would be a tearjerker. Also, Dimentio is an incredible twist villain

Funny enough, Seth Gordon (a famous director) actually expressed interest in making a film adaptation of Super Paper Mario a long while back. So I can definitely imagine an SPM-inspired arc in the sequel.

As for the Seth Gordon thing, as far as we know he never even got to ask Nintendo about it, and knowing Nintendo's response to SPM (establishing mandates specifically because that game scared them so much they thought the Mario brand was in jeopardy) I highly doubt they would have responded any other way than laughing him out of the room. But hopefully Illumination's team is more open to it after evaluating the history of Mario, and since they already have a partnership established with Nintendo that'd be much further than Seth Gordon ever got. A gal can dream 😭
Yes! It wouldn't really even need to be paper. They could completely reimagine the character designs and settings and I'm sure it would still be very cool to watch. And let's not forget the potential Mr. L has.
A sequel involving Princess Peach learning more about her past would be nice.

I have an idea for a sequel:
Kamek is the leader of the Koopa Troop now when Junior approaches him. Junior says that he’s found some friends: Ludwig, Larry, Morton, Wendy, Roy, Iggy and Lemmy. Kamek had already recruited Boom Boom so he recruits the Koopalings. He sends The Koopalings and Boom Boom to find Bowser. Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad are in the mushroom kingdom with Donkey Kong. The Koopalings invade the mushroom kingdom trying to find bowser. The gang tries to fight back but The Koopalings are to powerful. They flee to land of the Yoshis. One of the Yoshis seems interested in the gang. It agrees to help them. While crossing islands the gang find a sports community. The gang meets Daisy and Luigi falls in love. Everyone chooses a certain sport to partake in. Mario chooses Socker, Luigi choose tennis, Peach chooses Baseball, Toad chooses Go-Kart racing, Donkey Kong chooses boxing and Yoshi watches. Everyone becomes great at the sports that they chose, meanwhile Bowser has been freed from his glass jar. Bowser takes a liking to the kids. Mario and the gang go to the dark lands to stop Kamek but realise it’s to late. The final battle starts with everyone using their newfound skills to beat the army, Meanwhile Mario is fighting Kamek. Bowser sees and grabs mario and throws him at a broken wall. Luigi tries to help but is stopped by the Koopalings. Donkey Kong punches them out of here. Luigi found a Lucky block and throws it to Mario. Mario gets a star and becomes mighty again. He destroys Kamek and Bowser. They go back to how they used to live, But King Boo holds out his revenge to Mario.

my guess for the sequel is that yoshi will appear and the koopalings will be the villains. we already know yoshi's probably gonna be in it cause of the post-credits scene, and the koopalings are most likely canon because bowser's piano has ludwig von koopa on it.
Yeah seeing Ludwig's name on the piano is a big indicator (confirmation I guess) that the Koopalings exist somewhere in the Mario movie universe so a sequel where Bowser Jr. Would be present would be great to introduce the Koopalings.
You absolutely need the Koopalings in the sequel. Bowser's biggest problem is his struggles with loneliness, so giving him kids to raise would be a fun way, and it would be a great arc from him seeing the kids as useless lackeys to actually caring about them.
What I'm saying is that it is a great excuse for Illumination to just make Despicable Me again
@@KoopalingfanI know this is the movies and not the games, so many things can change, but Kamek never minded the Koopalings or Jr in the games. He was annoyed by Jr's immaturity in Bowser Jr journey, but still absolutely panicked when a mind controlled Morton beat up Jr, and even teared up during the game. And Kamek never manipulated Bowser and doesn't use him as a pawn, if you played Yoshi's island games, dream team, Bowser Jr journey, origami King and Mario RPG: Legend of seven stars you'll see what I mean. I am annoyed that so many people see Kamek as some kind of evil mastermind who manipulates everyone and controls what happens, when it was shown many times he truly cares for Bowser as if he was his own child. He even CALLS him his child in legend of seven stars. (Well, in his mind, as I'm pretty sure Bowser would punch him if he heard Kamek call him that).
And the first movie didn't really give me the vibe that Kamek is manipulating Bowser, he's just his "yes man" in the movie, and keeps trying to boost his confidence.

Netflix a series of Unfortunate events good to evil
My favorite Super Mario character Yoshi has been confirmed for the sequel film at the end in the underground fortress with a Yoshi egg hatching. I already know that most people think he's a terrible casting decision to play the loyal green dinosaur, but I think Adam Sandler should voice him. It's not uncommon for Adam Sandler to play kind-hearted characters like Bobby Boucher from Waterboy. Yoshi could be pretty funny, and I think it would be so cool to see some humor come out of the cute loyal green dinosaur sidekick. Also Adam Sandler hasn't played many animated characters, which could be a great opportunity for him honestly. Though I don't actually think he's gonna get casted to play Yoshi, or even wanna take that opportunity.
Kamek is yoshis arch-enemy I hope he will be the main villain
I dislike the idea of Mario befriending Bowser, due to them being worst enemies. I think that Bowser Jr. will be in the sequel with Caety Sogian reprising her video game role as him.

I have a feeling that Wario and Waluigi will be in a THIRD Mario Movie. The 2nd film will likely have Bowser Jr. and The Koopalings as The Villains. And after 2 movies with the Koopa Troop as antagonists, it would be natural to have the mischievous duo in a third installment. And hopefully, Captain Syrup as either a third wheel or rival to Wario. She's such an underrated villain.
Nintendo couldn't care about Wario characters let alone Wario himself.

Actually, he is more of a Twist villain you get after you think the final battle is over. Also, I don't think Nintendo appreciates the OG Paper Mario characters. But I would love to see him. I just don't want to get my hopes up

@@dragovidd Say what now? He can't be their son, if anything they imply he's the son of the magician who created the original 12 Pixls, who passed away. I don't think it's ever implied Timpani and Blumiere had any children, but I do find a certain headcanon interesting where Rosalina is their daughter.

(I mean, someone had to write the future into the Dark Prognpsticus and the page where if Tippi and Blumiere's victory is missing problably because they don't know if they won or not). We knew they were alive but if Merlon couldn't find them anywhere, they must be sometime else. The magian couldn't be a human since he has magic. And their daughter had a human soul. Which problably comes from Tippi. Which woman else would marry a magician (who possibly has a top hat) who has dark magic like the Dark Prognosticus. After Tippi and Blumiere died, Dİmentio must have sneaked a page from the prognosticus to travel where he can use the Chaos Heart to create a world where his family still alive.
As Much as It's Funny Seeing Bowser get Captured, What if he finds a way to get out of the cage and get revenge on Mario and the gang?
I'm pretty sure Kamek and the rest of his army is gonna free him.
Though what I don't understand is why doesn't Bowser just bite his arm or something, as the effects of the mini mushroom wear off when you get hit. He can just punch himself in the face and he'll be free lol.

Tobey Maguire (Sam Raimi Spider-Man) as Roy Koopa. (I think Tobey would be a fitting role for Roy because Roy was also known as "Bully" in both The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World, which would be fitting because of Spider-Man 3 introducing us to Bully Maguire.)
Andrew Caldwell (Howard Weinerman) as Morten Koopa. (I think this would be fitting because Morton is also known as "Big Mouth" in both TAOSMB3 and SMW, which would be fitting because of Caldwell's role as Howard in Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja because just like Morton/Big Mouth, Howard is both loyal and loud-mouthed.)
Brenda Song (London Tipton/Anne Boonchuy) as Wendy O, Koopa. (Song has this great thing for voicing teenage girls like London Tipton in both The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, and Anne Boonchuy in Amphibia. Also the fact that she played the leading role in Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, so I thought it be cool if she plays another Wendy.)
Sean Giambrone (2019 Ron Stoppable) as Ludwig Von Koopa (Knowing Giambrone, he has a cool nerdy voice, and Lugwig happened to be a young genius in both TAOSMB3 and SMW.)
Justin Felbinger (Sprig Planter) as Larry Koopa (Just like Sprig in Amphibia, Larry wants to do whatever it takes to please his family in TAOSMB3. Also, Felbinger worked alongside Brenda in Amphibia so it would be cool if Larry and Wendy were to be a brother-sister duo.)
Bentley Griffin and Jaeden White (Lincoln Loud and Clyde McBride) as Lemmy and Iggy Koopa. (Just like Lincoln and Clyde in The Loud House, Lemmy and Iggy are a dynamic duo in both TAOSMB3 and SMW, so it would be fitting.)
And Bowser Junior is Samuel Black

Yeah there is a couple other villains they could use in Sequels, Wart , Wario and Waluigi, King Boo, Sir Grodus and Lord Crump, Antasma, Shadow Queen, Count Bleck, Dimentio, Tatanga, Smithy
Also since the Mario World and Donkey Kong are the same world they could also throw in Donkey Kong villains like King K. Rool
Waluigi not even a villain. No mario villain is on the level of bowser.
Wart should voiced by John Goodman from the emperors new groove and Kronk’s new groove movies, and he also voiced sully from monsters, Inc and monsters University movies by Disney Pixar and if to tatanga ever appears as well, he should be voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch

I hope that Illumination adapts the RPG, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi series into movies as well 'cause I wanna see other unique locations in the cinematic universe. Also, I would love to see a Super Paper Mario and Bowser's Inside Story movie introducing Fawful, Count Bleck and X-Naughts. If a Mario Galaxy adaptation happens I wanna see Princess Shroomb or Tatanga as the main villains. I heard about Seth Gordon wanting to make a Paper Mario movie but I hope that Happens for real.
One prediction I have is the Introduction of the Koopalings.
I would love to see Mario and Bowser team up to tackle a bigger threat. They did this in Super Mario RPG and in Super Paper Mario. This means that both of them would probably team up to take down either Smithy or Count Bleck. Bowser is just sitting in a jar in Peach’s Castle as well so it is really easy to get him involved. I feel like they would go down the Super Mario RPG route because I don’t think they are ready at all yet for a Super Paper Mario movie.
But Mario & Luigi and their family are from Brooklyn, New York, not Yoshi’s Island
imagine the bros end up on yoshi's island, and somehow get turned into babies. Then Yoshi would have to bring them home to the mushroom kingdom like the game,
Honestly, a part of me hopes that in the sequel it’s revealed that Bowser actually escaped quite shortly after the first movie, and continued constant attacks on the Mushroom Kingdom.
Not only is it a pretty good homage to the games, but it also has quite the potential for comedic scenes and would set up a sort of rivalry between Bowser and Mario. A sort of competitiveness that’s present in some Mario games. Like Odyssey or in Mario Party.
I think Luigi should have a solo Luigi's Mansion spin off Movie, and use that opportunity to introduce Daisy in that movie and there they would actually have time to develop Luigi and Daisy's relationship and establish Daisy as a character comfortably and not have her fight for scenes with Peach (I mean it metaphorically).

I wonder if a Luigi’s Mansion Movie happens, then who should voice Professor E Gadd, and King Boo? Also if Donkey Kong Country Movie happens, I also wonder who would be the best voice for Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Funky Kong, Candy Kong, and Kong K Rool. Also it would be interesting to see who voices Yoshi, Bowser Jr. Wario and Waluigi. And if Wario Land gets a movie, then maybe they could have a voice for Captain Syrup.

I think that If Super Mario Bros. 2 movie in subcon happens, that Toad we saw in the movie would fit the role of Toad from Super Mario Bros. 2 the game movie perfectly, he is fearless and strong like the Toad in the Super Mario bros. 2 game.
Which Mario Movie Character would win the Squid Game, I think that it would have to be Princess Peach, she has shown she rules at the obstacle course. The first to die would probably be the Luma since he really wanted to die in the movie.
Karate Kid/Cobra Kai Characters Good to Evil
About these ideas:
1) "Luigi's Mansion" has potential but I find it difficult to realize. Maybe a simple appearance of the professor, one way or another, can happen in the sequels, after all he has created a time machine and much more in other games.
2) I guess they've already announced this and I can't wait to see it.
3) I find the "Dream Realm" theme "medium" to achieve. Prince Dreambert can be added with complete confidence, but it must still be remembered that Wart, as well as all of Super Mario Bros 2, is what remains of a port of Doki Doki Panic, which does not convince me that THAT dream world can appear in a sequel.
4/12) I find the idea of some kind of sports or party game scene quite interesting: imagine the situation where Mario and Bowser are forced to get together during a game or Mario and friends are trapped in some sort of dangerous party game made by a Koopalings, like Iggy or Ludwig. And yet, if the Mario versus Donkey Kong scene is a reference to Smash, I don't see why small scenes with these sports or party game elements are impossible.
5) Well, this is something we all want.
6) This seems to me ... probable, but very difficult to achieve. If they take their time, go slowly and manage to create a universe (or rather multiple narrative universes that will then be merged into a single crossover film), I see this as a new Endgame. As enemies I imagine Mater and Crazy Hand, Bowser, Ganondorf, Wario, Tabuu and generally other bad guys in Brawl's Story Mode.
7) This... no. I don't think so. I say this because since the film is basically an isekai, I doubt that they will put the subplot of Mario who was AS A CHILD in the mushroom kingdom. I would still like to see Yoshi in future projects, perhaps with a father/son bond with Luigi, referring to the old cartoon.
8) This idea is great for the sequel, since Rosalina has always been one of the most fascinating characters in the series along with the whole world of Mario Galaxy and Sparks of Hope. The appearance of her, perhaps at the behest of Bowser who searches for other Super Stars after Mario has used the only existing one, apparently, to defeat him, seems like an excellent idea.
9) The introduction of Daisy and her kingdom, perhaps with the introduction of Tatanga and a glimpse of the Galaxies, doesn't seem like a bad idea at all.
10) Apart from the fact that there seems to be a reference to it in the film, a whole story on an island like this doesn't seem very probable to me, perhaps as a sort of easter egg on a vacation that Mario and friends take after their latest adventure.
11) I see this as unlikely, but to be used from an aesthetic point of view, perhaps using the paper models for the film's end credits as, for example, pixelated models were used for the Pixels' end credits.

One of the possibilities for a sequel I have, is mixture adaptation of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World. Also, spoiler for the ending.
Because the movie ends with a Yoshi tease, it would make sense to somewhat adapt the story of his debut game with brothers befriending Yoshi, and eventually visiting the Yoshi's home-world from that game together with Peach, either as a vacation spot or just wanting to reunite him with other Yoshi's. Then, Bowser would attack the Dinosaur Land, with his intent being a ploy to either marry Peach, rebuild his forces with new recruits (them being the different dinosaurs), get revenge on Yoshi's as a way to set up a Yoshi's Island Prequel or to get some powerful item to use as a way to get rid of the Mario Brothers. To help him with this task he would recruit Koopalings, introduced as his adopted offspring trained by Kamek with his real son, Bowser Jr. being their leader. Together they would rule different parts of the Dinosaur Land, with Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi working together to save Yoshi's, defeat Koopalings and stop Bowser plans.
While I like this idea, I do realise it would be pretty difficult to introduce all of the seven Koopalings and make them distinct while giving each enough screen time. Still it would work well as a continuation from the first movie's ending.

For the sequel that the Wario Bros and Bowser team up the galaxy while Mario and his friends team up with Daisy and Rosalina or Bowsers revenge plot where The Mario Bros battle The Koopaling’s for the first time.
There are no Wario bros.
If there's a Donkey Kong spinoff next, that would mean we would get movie releases based of the roster of Super Smash Bros. Mario was first, ten Donkey Kong, then Link and The Legend of Zelda franchise would be next alongside Kirby. I could see this coming.
I would like to see the koopa kids be in the second or possibly third movie just to make it more interesting since they already introduce the tanooki PowerUp from Mario 3 😁
I would love a Luigi's Mansion movie
Here's a possible plot:
After saving Brooklyn, mario and luigi move to the mushroom kingdom, and start a plumbing business there because the Toads pipes are always breaking. The mushroom Kingdom lives in peace and everything's fine. But in the Dark Lands, Kamek finds a way to free Bowser from Princess Peach's castle and Bowser rises again, with the intention of defeating Mario once and for all. On a very stormy night, someone knocks on Bowser's castle door. A servant opens it and finds the future Koopalings shivering and begging to come in, saying they want to be Bowser's loyal servants. They meet with Bowser and he adopts them as his own kids, and gives them scepters and power. Bowser Jr. Is also introduced for the first time. With the help of his new children and Bowser. Jr, Bowser plots a way to kill Mario and kidnap Peach. Luckily, the Toad with the large backpack and frying pan from the first Mario movie was eavesdropping on Bowser's plan somehow, and returns to the Mushroom Kingdom to warn Mario and Peach. Peach, Mario and Toad then set out on an adventure to go to the neighboring kingdoms to form an alliance against Bowser. They leave Luigi in charge of the Mushroom Kingdom since they trust that hes very capable of handling a Kingdom. Each night that the trio rest, Peach has dreams about her past and where she came from. It turns out that she was actually born In the Mushroom Kingdom and her parents were the King and Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom. But Bowser wiped the Toads' memory of that and Peach's memory of that, and replaced it with a false memory of baby Peach stepping out of a pipe in the Mushroom Kingdom and was found by the Toads, because he killed Peach's parents so he could marry her when she was old enough. Finally, the trio arrive at the Ocean Kingdom and convince the King to help them. The King and his army accompany Peach, Mario, and Toad to the next kingdom, the Flower Kingdom, where they convince the King and Queen to help them. They visit every neighboring kingdom and form an alliance, and plan to ambush Bowser when he arrives at the Mushroom Kingdom. Unfortunately, Bowser surprise attacks them on their return journey and manages to kidnap Peach. Mario and the armies of the other kingdoms make it to the Mushroom Kingdom and tell the Toads to evacuate before Bowser destroys the kingdom. Meanwhile, Peach eavesdropped on all of Bowser's plans and finds out what the rest of his plans are. After dinner, she manages to smuggle a power box into the bedroom she was given and hides it, waiting for the morning. During breakfast, right before the wedding, she hides the box under her dress and tries to act normal. When she sits down, she carefully smashes the box, stands up and transforms, getting fire powers. She uses her powers on Bowser and stuns him, then she kicks him into lava. His army and Kamek evacuate, terrified of Peach. Peach escapes and takes an army members kart, and speeds to the Mushroom Kingdom, where she tries to find Mario. But it's not the end of Bowser. Hes unharmed by the lava and seeks revenge. Peach finds Mario and tells him she got rid of Bowser but not for long, right before his airship arrives at the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser jumps out and attacks Mario, trying to contain his anger at Peach. He locks her in a cage, and for once, shes helpless. Luckily while Mario distracts Bowser, Luigi sneaks out of the castle and unlocks Peach's cage. She, Mario, Luigi and the Toad with the frying pan get fire powers and kick Bowser into outer space. They know it's not the end of him, but they can live in peace until then. Mario tells a joke, and Peach, Luigi, and Toad laugh. Then the camera slowly zooms out, showing a view of the four standing outside Peach's castle. Then the credits roll. The END!! Hope you guys liked it even though it's not a real movie

I was thinking Wario and Waluigi could find something evil related and if Mario couldn’t stop them on his own, Bowser would be offered to help but that’ll need some work so maybe the idea won’t work.
My Mario movie sequel predictions totally legit:
1. -Jurassic- Yoshi World
Look we already have Chris Pratt who was in Jurassic World and we all know Yoshi, a dinosaur, is gonna play a big part in the sequel
2. Reuniting Yoshi with his family
The movie would just be Mario & friends discovering a rampaging Yoshi in Brookyln and trying to help Yoshi find his lost parents. Obviously they'd first go to Yoshi Island but none of the Yoshi seems to recognise the lost Yoshi so they need to find another location. While the first movie focused more on the characters, this sequel would focus more on the world. It would also explore further Peach's original family and where she came from which was mentioned in the movie but won't be a huge focus though it would tease Rosalina in an after-credit scene with the blue Lumalee in the first movie retelling the story of the first movie to her, setting up a future movie for Galaxy
What about learning more of Peach's origin?
If only a crossover with the sonic movies were possible

Yoshi is teased in one of the end credits scenes, so if he’s in the next movie, I think a fitting voice would be Tom Holland, because if they fight Bowser again and win, Mario could put his arm around Yoshi’s neck like Star-Lord and Peter Parker in Avengers Infinity War, only a playful noogie, and not pointing a gun to his head

8:20 if we do get a galaxy centric story the crazy side of my brain wants lumalee be the villain. He felt so set on dying alongside everyone and was disappointed when he wasn’t. Imagine if he tried to become a supernova instead of a galaxy.
In this movie they say that Mario and Luigi were born in the real world, even if the games say that they were born in the Mushroom Kingdom, so a Yoshi spinoff would not make sense.
Here's a solution. The Mario Bros. were born in the Mushroom Kingdom, but the parents deemed it to be too dangerous to raise a family, so they left to Brooklynn and led the bros to believe they were born there.

If they do a dream movie, they could combine both SMB2 and Dream Team. Have Wart take the place of Bowser in Dream Team with him wanting to take over the dream world and seek out the Dream Stone and then reveal Antasma as the real/final villain after Wart. Another idea for a Paper Mario movie could act as a reverse of Paper Jam, with Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser getting sucked into the book of the Paper Mario world and they try to get out with Paper Mario's help while defeating Paper Mario villains.

I don’t like the idea of Mario teaming up with Bowser especially because this movie version of Bowser is already irredeemable and has committed crimes that make him unforgivable.
As much as a yoshis island story would be awesome in the movie, it'd have a plot hole because of the young brothers having their time in brooklyn
But for a Yoshi’s Island prequel story to work in this continuity, the stork that delivers the brothers is tasked to drop them in the pipe that transports them into the real world (Brooklyn, New York as we see in the film since it’s been made really clear that in this continuity that The Super Mario Brothers were raised by their parents in Brooklyn, New York and not raised in The Mushroom Kingdom like Princess Peach in this continuity and besides the Toads are the only inhabitants that were born in The Mushroom Kingdom in this continuity not any humans before Peach came along) and the stork accidentally loses both of them on the way and Baby Luigi gets kidnapped by Kamek who is also currently caring for a hatchling recently orphaned Bowser and the Yoshi Chief who could also be Yoshi’s father finds Baby Mario and soon helps him rescue his brother from Kamek and then deliver them both through the pipe and their parents found them on the other side and since they were babies when that happened, they never remembered that they ever went to The Mushroom Kingdom World before the first films events take place. This could also explain how Kamek knows about The Super Mario Brothers before the events of The Super Mario Bros. Movie other than them being included in some sort of prophecy or something which could also work as well or they could do both which could work as well. 🏝️🍄👑👸🍑👨👩👦👦👶🙅♀️
One idea I have which I haven't heard from anyone else yet, is for the next Movie to take at least partly focus on the Mario Bros helping restore Broklyn after being partially destroyed by Bowser, as well having the citizens of Brooklyn have to vote on whether they should try to destroy the Pipe between there and the Mushroom Kingdom (which realistically they would want because any sane person would be at least a little scared of Bowser attacking them again). This could develop an interestig conflict for the Bros as they'd have to almost between two different lives. It would also create the potential for some cool references, such as DK kidnapping Mayor Pauline for announcing the destruction of the Pipe, Brooklyn treats DK as a hero and he doesn't want to have to leave. As well as Wario and Waluigi being hired as the Plumbers to destroy te Pipe as the Mario Bros would probably refuse to do the job themselves. A sub plot about Peach finding out if she's from the Earth could fit in nicely with this.

Here are some options:
- Wario and Waluigi introduced: they are jealous of the fame Mario and Luigi have following Bowser getting taken down. (ala Mario Land 2)
- Mario and Luigi get a distress call from Sarasaland. We meet Daisy, a princess for Luigi and after a battle with Tatanga, he gives up details about the lands beyond the stars. This bit of info gives reasoning for the crew to explore the areas in Galaxies games. Then we learn about where Peach comes from and where Daisy comes from (Mario Land 1 & Mario Galaxy 1/2).
Your Yoshi's Island idea would retcon the entire point of Mario and Luigi having family in Brooklyn and being products of the New York State educational system.
I think the next title will be Super Mario World and I think it should start like this: Bowser still locked in the Cage is planning his revenge against Mario for ruining his wedding, Luigi for reaching his lands, Peach for rejecting him even though he would give him the opportunity to Go back (I mean, something obvious that it is known that he will not do it) and Toad for Intruding practices it with monuments of them made of food and seeing that a Toad forgot his Weapon he uses it to escape and to leave the place he uses a fire Artificial To then escape already in the jungle, he meets an army of Caterpillars that chase him but he is saved by a group of 8 Koopas and one of them tells him papa, that is, the Koopalings and Junior
My Sequel theory is a little all over the place but I think it makes sense. Big new characters: Yoshi, Princess Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, and Princess Rosalina and the Lumas. Plot: The areas from the first movie that were in the montage when traveling to the Kong Village are going to have more meaning (Desert, Water, Yoshi Island), maybe they unite the princesses of said areas to take down Bowser again or a new evil in the Mario universe such as Wario & Waluigi, The Koopalings, or Bowser Jr. Maybe all the good guys get their own color-coded Yoshi too to go into battle with. And sprinkle a side story of Luigi being more involved in the movie like having Daisy as a love interest or Luigis Mansion. New Characters, more areas of the universe explored, more enemies, more Character development, more origin stories and PLOT!
I would like to see some not very popular Mario villains in the fututr movies, like Antasma, Princess Shroob, Cackletta, Shadow Queen and so on...
The Mario Dream concept sounds the spookiest and darkest of all and i would love it for a sequel. WART is actually an even scarier threat than Bowser in many ways. But yeah we need Wario and Waluigi in the sequel also as a rivalry between them brews on.*

I have a theory about Super Mario Bros 2 which is that Wario and Waluigi also find the green pipe and after they end up in the mushroom kingdom they start ransacking the kingdom, Waluigi teasing his self-pitying personality and Wario stealing all the gold in the kingdom for his greed and then Mario and luigi with the help of peach and toad will try to prevent Wario and Waluigi from bringing Chaos to the various kingdoms and during this journey they could train with Bowser and meet the Yoshi green or the original one that rides Mario in super Mario world
I think in a second mario movie, the koopalings and bowser jr could free bowser for a backup plan that involves them going to space and meeting Rosalina and solving why the Luma was captured and Luigi could get braver and cach dr egads attention for a Luigis Manson movie
I said before in another UA-camr’s community post that I think these could become four movies but after thinking about it more, as crazy as it’d probably be (but hey I’m just having fun here), I think this could maybe go for six movies (not including a Donkey Kong spin off). The second being a role reversal of the first with Luigi’s Mansion where Luigi now has to save Mario while also including Yoshi as a nod to Mario is Missing. The third being an adaptation of Super Mario World where we officially go all in with the Yoshi species on Yoshi’s Island, Wario and Waluigi could be introduced, and now Mario and Luigi can finally team up the whole movie without one having to save the other. The fourth could be an adaptation of Super Mario Sunshine where we get introduced to Bowser Jr. where I think it’d be fun to see these versions of Peach, Mario, and the others (mainly Peach and Mario) react to Bowser Jr. thinking Peach is his mother (and if Wario and Waluigi wouldn’t be in the third movie than maybe here). The fifth could be an adaptation of Super Mario Odyssey where we can see more of this world including Sarasaland where we get introduced to Daisy which could give a fun side plot for her and Luigi (maybe we could even see Mario trying to be a wingman for Luigi but he barely knows what he’s doing, and maybe Toad could even try to help too but knows even less of what he’s doing than Mario so Peach has to give Luigi proper advice since at that point, she’d probably have better knowledge on how this works than Mario and Toad (or maybe Peach doesn’t even know enough to help Luigi, I don’t know)). And the sixth would get to Galaxy, having the biggest stakes with the universe in danger and obviously introducing Rosalina and letting general audiences know more about the Lumas and maybe letting us know what’s the deal with the Luma we saw in the first movie and why he’s so depressing
After what that filthy monster Bowser did to Luigi and trying to kill him, there is no way Mario would let that go.
Also, if they do Super Paper Mario, they need to rectify the story. Mario wasn't nearly worried enough in the game for Luigi. Obviously, movie Mario would be terribly worried after his brother gets possessed.
How's this? A sequel set on Dinosaur Island from Super Mario World. This movie would blend aspects of Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island, showing Mario and Luigi meeting Yoshi and Yoshi explaining how they saved the babies from Kamek. Yoshi would then beg Mario for help because their own babies have been stolen by Bowser and the Koopalings in Dinosaur Island and they need help to rescue them. So Mario, Luigi, and Peach all travel to Dinosaur Island and go on an adventure through Donut Plains, Vanilla Dome, The Forest of Illusion, and Chocolate Island in search of the kidnapped Yoshi eggs while smashing apart the Koopalings Castles in the process and finally confronting Bowser in his secret underground lair.

Honestly this is all I want:
Main antagonists are Wario and Waluigi or Bowser Jr. And the koopalings.
Don't put Rosalina in the sequel, save her for the 3rd movie.
Daisy and Sarassa land could be a sub plot, with dinosaur land being the main plot.
PLEASE do not make Mario and Bowser team up, because then they might not be able to make Bowser the main antagonist of another sequel.
But tbh as long as Mario and Bowser don't team up and the koopa army have at least a CAMEO then 10/10 for me

In regards to a sequel, I believe they will cover Super Mario World with Yoshi joining the group and having the koopalings as villains.
You know what I would like for a sequel, Mario and the gang first visiting Sarasaland and meeting Princess Daisy. Think about it. Since we only really seen Sarasaland in Super Mario Land and the locations there are based on locations in the world where Mario and Luigi are from, I feel like the filmmakers can really use those two things to their advantage. With Princess Daisy's interaction with Peach and Luigi and vice versa, Peach could kinda be fangirling over Daisy since she hasn't been social with humans throughout her and having a princess who is also a human could be the perfect female friend for her. While Luigi could develop a crush on Daisy and make some exaggerations to make himself seem more heroic, but Daisy would catch on to Luigi's bluffs and play around with them for comedy. Sarasaland could also have a civilization in it full of the breed of Koopas Bowser is and that's where we could meet the Koopalings and maybe use their magic to try to take over Sarasaland and Mario and the gang have to stop them. Man, the Mario franchise is filled with so much material for multiple sequels.
Personally I know it's a far fetch but a sonic/ Mario movie crossover us interesting. The movie versions of the characters team up Bowser and Dr robotnik appear working together and about to destroy both Mario and sonics worlds.
